09/03/2026: Terrible experience with Hotel Dufour. Today I tried to contact the hotel seven times in the afternoon, from 1:16 PM to 5:24 PM, with no response. Not only did no one answer my calls, but I didn't even receive a callback or even a simple message saying I'd be contacted as soon as possible. I fully understand that there can be busy times, but completely ignoring a guest for over four hours is behavior I find truly unprofessional. Even a brief message or callback would have been enough to demonstrate care and respect. This type of customer service unfortunately gives a very negative impression of the hotel's management. If this is how potential guests are treated even before booking, I can't imagine how the service is during their stay. A decidedly disappointing experience.

06/10/2025: Good hotel right on the square, friendly and helpful staff, they recommended what to see and where to eat, good breakfast.

24/08/2025: Great ice cream, huge selection, absolutely reasonable prices, and the portions are huge! There's an indoor and outdoor seating area, and there's a large parking lot right next door.

04/10/2025: 45 euros for a bad pizza and overcooked pasta. A beer and a poorly made spritz. Avoid this touristy Arratape.

26/09/2025: The inviting and inviting atmosphere, overlooking the lake, reflects the restaurant's name, and the dynamic and helpful staff are equally impressive, offering delicious and interesting dishes at reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back! Congratulations!

05/10/2025: A special place. We arrived when the kitchen was already closed, but they let us eat anyway. The food was delicious, homemade. The owners were so kind; we chatted with them for a long time! We felt so comfortable that we even took a photo together afterward :)

29/07/2025: Viajando con un grupo de 33 personas, cenamos en este atractivo restaurante anoche. Pasando por el comedor principal hacia atrás hay un comedor al aire libre con plantas y arbustos. El servicio fue rápido y eficiente. Empezamos con una ensalada mixta, que tenía muchos trozos de tomate. Lo siguiente fue muy buen risotto de hongos, y una galette de queso y espinacas. Me hubiera gustado tener algo de guarnición en el plato.

20/07/2025: Certo, non sarà il Grand Hotel Et Des Iles Borromees, ma se cercate un buon alberghetto tranquillo, in pieno centro a Stresa, a 3 minuti a piedi dal lago e dall'imbarcadero, con camere essenziali ma pulitissime e perfettamente insonorizzate con bagno con sanitari rinnovati, e letto supercomodo, il Fiorentino fa per voi. Molto gentili il signor Federico e i suoi collaboratori, pronti a soddisfare ogni necessità; convenzionale, ma con prodotti di qualità dolci e salati (veramente ottime le marmellate) la colazione, con bevande calde espresse direttamente dal bar. Prezzo nella norma. Possibilità di usufruire di un ottimo servizio ristorante (che ho già valutato positivamente in passato).

07/03/2026: Passing by the lake, we stopped at a lovely restaurant. The elegantly dressed waiters were friendly and welcoming, creating a convivial atmosphere. The pizzas were excellent, and the service was impeccable. The value for money was truly outstanding. The waterfront terrace was delightful: a beautiful spot for lunch and a pleasant meal.

25/02/2026: Motorcycle ride, a little spot on the shore of Lake Maggiore with a view of Isola Madre. Excellent and plentiful food. Highly recommended, especially for motorcyclists! 🤙

04/10/2025: At Risto Bar Hemingway in Oggebbio, I had a truly delicious pizza, with a light and flavorful crust. The atmosphere is made even more pleasant by the splendid lake view and the always friendly and attentive staff. A welcoming place that I happily recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy good food and an enchanting view of Lake Maggiore.

08/03/2026: All you can eat ribs are fantastic, you need to download the App. Young man serving us (Mhar?), was very polite and attentive.

15/02/2026: Slow service, friendly staff, and the meal met expectations. It's a shame about the bill, due to the lack of transparency. All-you-can-eat ribs, yes, but only if you swipe your card. So I ended up paying €36 for ribs instead of €12. Downloading an app would have cost me significantly less. My mistake, asking for clarification only after paying. See you next time? I don't think so.

08/03/2026: I booked ahead because I knew I'd be there that day, and the lady was kind enough. Then, the same day, due to my delay on my return journey, I called the restaurant again to ask if I could wait an hour longer than I had booked. They also promptly said no problem. Kudos to you for your patience. We sat down, ordered, and what can I say? The dishes were plentiful and the prices were excellent. The polenta was exceptional, so much so that I complimented the owner. "The polenta tasted like polenta." You could tell it was made over a wood fire! The desserts were also very good. I'll definitely be back.

14/02/2026: The atmosphere and staff in the dining room were welcoming, but we had some dissatisfaction with the food: the soup of the day, the cheese board with bread, and the veal stew were all very good, but the polenta was lousy and the buckwheat cake with blueberry jam was awful. What was unacceptable was that when I asked how it went, I complained about the cake, and the owner explained that it was for celiacs and lactose intolerants! Aside from the fact that it wasn't written on the menu, but you can't think of making a cake for lactose intolerant people and celiacs by simply not using wheat, milk, and butter. I don't think the lady didn't know that there are lactose-free butter and milk for lactose intolerance, and gluten-free products for celiacs. So I felt like she was being mocked, especially because, to cut it short, she said, "Everyone eats it." If the lady can't accept criticism from a customer, it's better if she doesn't ask the customer how it went.

27/10/2025: Had dinner our first evening in Baveno…we were staying at the Hotel Dino for a conference. My daughter and I didn’t have high expectations but were rather prioritizing the convenience! We were pleasantly surprised. We were warmly greeted and had immediate service. It was quiet as it was early by European dining standards at 7pm but over the course of our dinner filled in. We had an attentive and yummy experience. We ended the evening with their delicious tiramisu…we would return our final evening to have this dessert again!

08/12/2025: An unpretentious place, simple food but cooked quite well considering the price, with a choice of two first courses and two second courses at lunchtime, and I think they also have pizza in the evening.

07/12/2025: A simple and welcoming place, located near the sanctuary; parking is also available across the street. It offers a bar and restaurant with daily and à la carte menus. We ordered polenta with cheese, polenta with sausage, a platter of cured meats from Vigezzo, water, and two quarts of red wine for €42 (we were offered two delicious artisanal liqueurs). The food is excellent, simple and authentic. In the evenings, they also serve wood-fired pizza. Highly recommended for anyone passing through.

05/01/2026: A place with a homey atmosphere. We had dinner here and felt right at home. The owners were friendly and the food was excellent. We tried the gnocchi ossolani, which I recommend, and a tagliata with gorgonzola, finishing with a delicious pear and chocolate cake. A pleasant and relaxing evening.

21/09/2025: A very nice restaurant with a view of the alpine dairy, and there are plenty of parking spaces directly in front. The menu offers everything from pasta to fish, meat, mussels, and vegetarian dishes.

21/03/2026: The service was very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the food was extremely bad – we tried a forkful and left the rest. It was also quite expensive for Italy. We were disappointed.

23/11/2025: An exceptional dining experience. The attention to detail in every dish was impressive. This place offers a truly fine dining experience. Exquisite fine dining with impeccable service and excellently crafted dishes. Pleasant and refined atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. The three Bellossi brothers are the directors and creators of this beautiful place. The artichoke with bagna cauda and parmesan shavings is sublime. I celebrated an incredible birthday. I highly recommend it 🤗
