15/02/2025: Let me start straight away by saying that this is NOT a place for influencers and digital creators or so, nor is it a place for those who expect a hotel like the Palace in Gstaad. The Antica Locanda Alpino is a genuine place, where time has stopped and where everything smells of wood. This is an old-fashioned refuge, with a wonderful view of the Alpe Devero plain and where you can eat wonderfully simple dishes, two first courses and two second courses on the menu, those who want dishes and the starred chef should stay away. In a very short time it became my/our spot at Devero

13/02/2025: Great place for three days under the snow in a corner of paradise. The Locanda is a corner of the past, here it seems like we are in other times, we also enjoyed the simple cuisine but with a taste of fantastic local and typical products. Go there and you will see that as soon as you pass the tunnel you will be in another fantastic world where you can enjoy the sound of silence.

06/10/2024: WONDERFUL PLACE AND WELL CARED FOR IN DETAIL. BEACH WITH VERY FINE LAKE AND WITH ALL THE COMFORT. TOP GAZEBO AND UMBRELLA. VERY NICE RESTAURANT WITH EXCELLENT QUALITY FOOD AND VERY FAST AND SATISFACTORY SERVICE. ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL EVENING EVENTS ACCOMPANIED BY MUSIC AND ATTRACTIONS WITH LUMINOUS FOUNTAINS AND FIREWORKS.

15/03/2025: Forgotten in a corner and served after a very long wait overcooked fish and the rest inedible. Lifelong customers and those who came with friends really make a bad impression.

10/02/2025: We had lunch with two adults and a little girl at the guesthouse. The dishes cooked well, welcoming environment and good service. In my opinion perhaps a little expensive.

09/02/2025: Rustic guesthouse on the Devero Alpe plain, therefore in a splendid position. Welcoming and clean, it is a cross between a hotel and a refuge. Excellent management, helpful and friendly. Excellent cuisine, wonderful strudel, excellent Ossolani gnocchi, polenta and game.

07/10/2024: Wenn wir in Cannobio sind ist es keine Frage wohin wir essen gehen ! Wir gehen ausschließlich in's Il Pontile ! Es ist nach wie vor immer sehr gut !

30/09/2024: Ho pranzato con mia moglie in questo bel ristorante che con un’ottima location fronte lago prometteva davvero bene. Intrigati dal proposta sul menu di risotto con filetti di pesce persico, abbiamo entrambi preso questo piatto. E’ stato un errore ( e con il conto lo abbiamo anche pagato caruccio). Non si trattava di un risotto ma di riso ( solo bollito) guarnito di 4 ( quattro !!!) filettini di persico. In piu’ lo chef, probabilmente per mimettizare la semplice cottura in acqua bollente del riso ( no mantecatura, no soffritto, no vino bianco …) ha pensato di aggiungervi burro e , tanto, aglio! Sinceramente non abbiamo dato al locale una seconda chance e dopo il riso, solo un caffe e via! Unico sincero apprezzamento la gentilezza e la cortesia della signora che ci ha servito.

01/02/2025: Along with slightly salty polenta and sausage, the risotto creamed with walnuts was really good. Warm environment and Christmas atmosphere! Inside there is also a small "shop" with objects of all kinds to give as gifts during these holidays! Excellent choice

08/12/2024: Nice and intimate place, new, clean, in the center of the village. Staff a little cold but efficient even if the cutlery was never changed, placemat and paper napkin, food, apart from the truly spectacular vitello tonnato, almost all tasteless. The menu was the fixed one from the markets and seemed promising. The tuna of rabbit was tasteless, watery. The risotto alla toma, despite the two teaspoons of parmesan added at our request, was al dente but absolutely bland in appearance and taste. I saw almost complete dishes coming back from another table. We ate it because we were hungry like we eat plain rice at home but it wasn't a restaurant dish. The second course was lightly salted meat, the polenta seemed pre-cooked and was cold, the broccoli gratin was ugly to look at but at least it was tasty. The desserts... the panna cotta, of the right consistency but not sweet. The morsel of pandoro (fried?) which no longer tasted like pandoro, completely distorted, to be dipped into a single bowl of slightly too frothy eggnog. I'm really sorry to write such a negative review but we all agreed at the table on the lack of dishes. Bad day? Maybe. However... the portions are right, the bread at the table is scarce but it is to avoid waste and if necessary you can request it, the price would also have been correct. Good coffee. It's really a shame about the cuisine which didn't satisfy us.

23/10/2024: Indubbiamente il ristorante nel contesto dell'hotel Dino ha il suo bel perché. Ristorante tutto sommato non enorme con una bella atmosfera, arredamento stile cantina ma moderno. Servizio ottimo ed attento. Filetto di Cervo molto buono anche se io sostituirei le due carotine con delle patate al forno un po' rustiche e lo servirei con braccetto di una salsa al vino. Buona cantina dei vini ed aperitivo formato large. Tiramisù fatto al modo loro ma molto buono. Tutto sommato una bella esperienza. Costo nella media per un posto del genere.

09/10/2024: I believe this is the new menu at the Last Hall restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. It is a small menu, but absolute care is taken when preparing the food. The egg truffle reminded me of warming up to a delicious bowl of mushroom soup on a cold day. The pumpkin risotto had the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. And both the veal and venison were fall off the bone perfection. This has been one of the few restaurants in Italy that cooked the meat correctly. Was not chewing or gamey. so all you had to think about was how pleasant the experience was. Not how you’re able to cut through this rough meat. I left this meal feeling full and the menu is well priced. The wait staff was proactive in asking for allergy restrictions.

14/02/2025: We went for dinner on a Friday night to hear the band MalaMente. Welcoming environment, friendly and professional staff. I ate the ganassino with mashed potatoes and it was very good, the pizza is also good and digestible. Nice music and fun. Advised

01/02/2025: In una calda giornata abbiamo deciso di andare a rinfrescarci e abbiamo trascorso una bella serata con piatti buoni. Gentili e disponibili. Buona la qualità. Prezzo forse leggermente superiore al dovuto. Comunque siamo stati bene. Consigliato.

16/01/2025: Posto accogliente e curato. I primi con poco sapore, gli gnocchi senza un senso gustativo. La nota dolente è stata la polenta, completamente bruciata ( sarà perché era l’ultimo giorno di apertura). Servizio approssimativo. Secondi di carne decisamente all’altezza del posto. I Dolci meritano.

04/01/2025: We stopped at this restaurant during a long hike in the valley. The food served is very good even if not all dishes are typical. The staff is very good, attentive, available for every request and also very friendly. We also asked for generous portions in two dishes and they understood and executed correctly. We weren't crazy about the place as it is very simple and spartan but you can certainly feel the warmth and welcome of the people who work there.

08/02/2025: Pizzeria that reminds me of my childhood, when I lived in Bagnella. I haven't been there in a while but I would like to go back sometime.
