04/07/2025: We had a brilliant meal here last night. The food was so fresh and tasty. Probably one of the best meals we have had in Stresa. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is just off the central square so a lot quieter and more relaxing. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

28/06/2025: We'll miss Italy, just for this restaurant!! We went there twice during our stay. The kindness of everyone and the delicious food!!! Everything was perfect. Our daughter was spoiled from start to finish thanks to them. Thank you for these wonderful times.

06/06/2025: Wir waren gleich zweimal hier, so gut hat es uns gefallen. Vorgestern am Mittag, heute zum Abendessen. Vom Empfang über den Service bis zur Küche war alles perfekt. Die Küche besticht mit Liebe zum Detail, die Speisen sind geschmacklich gut abgestimmt und diskret gewürzt. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Vorgestern hatten wir beide den exotischen Salat mit Gamberi. Danach hatte ich die Spaghetti alla Chitarra und meine Frau den Branzino. Heute hatten wir als Vorspeise die Parmigiana di Melanzane. Danach Gnocchi und nochmals den Branzino. Die Portionen sind genau richtig, damit auch ein Dessert Platz hat, ein Panna Cotta und ein Tiramisu. Beim nächsten Besuch am Lago Maggiore steht dieses Restaurant wieder auf unserer Liste.

09/07/2025: Had breakfast at La Volpe during our stay in Tanaunella and really enjoyed it! The place has a calm, welcoming vibe — perfect for a relaxing start to the day. The coffee was excellent, and the pastries were fresh and delicious. It’s a lovely stop if you’re in the area, whether you’re heading to the beach or just exploring. Would happily come back next time!

03/05/2025: Location carina con tavoli all'aperto e al chiuso divisi su di piani. Personale gentile e servizio veloce. Piatti davvero abbondanti ed eccezionali, buonissimi. Carne buona e cotta a dovere. Vi consiglio i Rosti.

30/06/2025: We went to this restaurant on Monday 25/06, after visiting the splendid garden of Villa Taranto, and we found a sign saying it will reopen on 02/07. Obviously, before taking a walk of over 2 km, we consulted both the restaurant's FB page and its Google profile, but in both cases the restaurant was regularly open. Other people were there and had the same misadventure as us. However, if this is respect for their customers, they would be happy to go eat elsewhere.

25/05/2025: English: We were visiting the botanical garden and we were hungry, I found this little place on Google Maps with very positive ratings and we decided to try it, I think it was one of the best choices ever made. A fixed daily menu, with three options of first course to choose from and 3 options of a second course to choose from, we chose baked pasta and seafood risotto as first courses, as second courses baked chicken and potatoes and ribs with sausage with baked potatoes, I can say excellent quality and also perfect quantity. We also managed to get a dessert that we shared, a very very good blueberry cheesecake. The lady who runs it was very kind and helpful. Very pleasant and quiet atmosphere perfect for a relaxing day. When we return to visit Lake Maggiore we will definitely return to try some other dish of the day. I am truly very satisfied overall. Thank you for this magnificent lunch

24/12/2024: Ottima pizza, con un impasto morbido che mantiene una piacevole croccantezza. Da eliminare il tavolo 1BAR troppo vicino alla porta di ingresso e quindi disturbato da frequenti aperture, passaggi e 'botte' d'aria!

15/12/2024: Brillante noche pasó con nuestra familia italiana. Grandes pizzas y entrantes encantadores. Pizza bien cargada y tenía la masa tenía burbujas quemadas que son tan sabrosas.

18/07/2025: An informal but very satisfying lunch! From the à la carte menu, the mushroom bruschetta was fantastic (€8, well spent), as were the rosti with eggs and bacon (€12). The tartare with potato salad from the daily menu was exceptional, definitely worth adding to your list. 😋 The portions and prices were fair (first course, second course, water, wine, and coffee were €25 each).

09/06/2025: Room, by our choice with shared bathroom. The room has comfortable beds and more than adequate space. The dinner included in the half board allows the choice of 3 first courses and 3 second courses in addition to dessert. We ate very well, the best braised meat ever!! The guys are super helpful and kind. Really recommended, especially for the quality-price ratio.

30/06/2025: I booked this room for two nights. First time in Macugnaga. We were happy with the hotel's location, convenient to everything, next to the road but far enough away to not hear noise. We had breakfast included, plentiful and varied. We had dinner one evening at the hotel and we had a good time, quiet environment, typical food. There is parking and a garden with chairs and deckchairs. The living area is typical and well kept. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. Perhaps the only flaw is the rooms, in general the upper floors are a bit dated, our room particularly small but I really appreciated the cleanliness and order which I consider fundamental. I really appreciated the bathroom products in paper packaging.

30/06/2025: English: Wonderful hotel, very welcoming and familiar, well furnished and conceived as a corner of home, reassuring and elegant. The rooms are basic, but warm and with a splendid view of Monte Rosa. In the room courtesy set with slippers and creams, soaps and shampoo with high quality olive oil. The bathroom is dated and could be more in line with the standard of the hotel, but it is clean. The small garden at the back is welcoming and well kept. The staff is very helpful and kind. The owner personally takes care of the breakfasts and welcomes you as you would welcome a person in your own home: her courtesy and kindness really struck me. Early in the morning she greets you with a smile and asks how you slept, before showing you the countless delights prepared especially for breakfast: homemade cakes, waffles, pancakes and then honey directly from the honeycomb, eggs cooked on the spot, wholemeal bread with various seeds (fragrant), very fresh fruit salad and apples cooked with ginger and so on... truly a rare experience to find!

28/05/2025: Ici on sert de la bonne cuisine italienne typique élaborée avec de bons produits. Le service est très agréable, le cadre également. Les portions sont généreuses. A signaler la fourniture de vraies serviettes en tissu. L'accueil est très sympathique et en français, les prix doux. Sans doute l'un des meilleurs plans de ce lieu touristique....

06/06/2025: Relax assoluto, per merito del personale professionale e di una gentilezza unica! Menù interessante e sfizioso.......qualità garantita e piatti curati dall'antipasto al dolce. Vino della casa veramente all' altezza.....incredibile! Tornerò per assaggiare il pesce di lago.....parlando con il proprietario, persona deliziosa, ho scoperto che è un vero intenditore, che propone materia prima eccellente......assolutamente da provare! Complimenti a tutta la splendida famiglia.

18/05/2025: Complimenti allo staff ci siamo trovati benissimo. Pranzato all' esterno bell'atmosfera ottimo cibo. Consigliato anche per i bambini parco giochi a 2 passi.

25/01/2025: Il locale non si è scaldato in tempo ed essendo lontano dal camino (bellissimo e d’atmosfera) abbiamo patito un po’ di freddo. Rapporto qualità prezzo non proprio soddisfacente per la polenta ed il dolce. Non e’possibile pagare con carte e bancomat; onestamente non avevamo visto il cartello alla cassa che resta alle spalle di chi entra nel locale. Questo ha creato un po’ di imbarazzo ma risolto egregiamente dal cuoco. L’esperienza in estate era stata migliore.

12/06/2025: I ate the best stone-cooked fillet of my life!! Too bad about the portion of zucchini, for 5 euros it could have been more abundant.. but really spectacular.
