08/03/2026: A small, intimate restaurant in the historic center of Cuneo; the menu features dishes primarily based on meatballs (as the restaurant's name clearly indicates, "mac and bale" = only meatballs). The ingredients used are of good quality, and there are vegetarian options.
The prices are definitely reasonable for the quality of the food. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the portions are generous. Definitely worth a stop for lunch or dinner in the beautiful historic center. Highly recommended.
01/02/2026: I went with a friend. It's a very small and charming place. The food is spectacular and the portions are generous. You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and each meatball is different from the others in taste and design.
I've read in other reviews that the meatballs aren't very hot; ours were just the right temperature to dip into the hot fondue without risking burning yourself. In short, it's a rational choice.
Unfortunately, we were very full and didn't have the pleasure of trying the desserts. A good excuse to return.
The staff was above-average kindness and courtesy.

05/09/2025: Avoid this place if you're looking for more than just a nice room. The staff are unpleasant and completely inattentive. Breakfast is basic, very limited, and the coffee is undrinkable.
Dinner is the same story with the staff's attitude. The portions are ridiculously small and overly salty, and the price is outrageous.

The place was rundown, damp, cold, and really dirty!!! And to think I'd heard good things about it...
The dishes were lacking in quality.
Despite having mentioned any intolerances, I was assured there would be no problem substituting the dishes in my Smartbox...
Instead...we basically ate one dish less, and no one bothered to bring a replacement...
The fried egg was truly awful. Pieces of raw egg whites and overcooked yolks...
I'll leave aside the fact that, in addition to being poorly presented, it was also a truly unpleasant combination of flavors.
11/02/2026: Traditional menu and kindness; an excellent selection of traditional dishes; I recommend the ravioli I tasted.

28/02/2026: We attended the Fish Night. Everything was delicious and made exclusively by them. The staff was friendly and helpful. You even got to watch the games while you eat!
16/02/2026: We went for the Piedmontese fritto misto, which was good. The girl who served us was a bit shy and dismissive compared to her colleagues serving other tables, never offering us second helpings. The owner was courteous and accommodated our requests. The atmosphere was homey.

08/07/2025: A very small but excellent wine bar in Borgomale. We were there for dinner and had a mixed plate of typical Italian antipasti, as well as two regional pasta dishes each. Everything was very well prepared and beautifully presented. The service was very friendly, and the atmosphere in the old cellar was both rustic and modern.
The wine selection is usually extensive in this region, but they also offer wines by the glass if there are only two of you and you can't finish a whole bottle.

03/09/2025: The place is welcoming and familiar, we had a table for two with a view of Monviso in the face (exceptional and romantic), very helpful service, good and characteristic food. To return.
17/08/2025: We had lunch at this inn, and even though we'd called in the morning to make the reservation, they took care of it without any problem.
The place is reminiscent of Sunday lunch at grandma's house: cozy, welcoming, and delicious. The menu, consisting of five appetizers, one first course, one second course, and one dessert, is very generous, all excellent quality and a fabulous value.
The owners are two delightful, friendly, and approachable people, with whom it was a pleasure to chat between courses.
It's one of the few places in the area that preserves its traditions, kindness, and love for their work.
We'll be happy to visit you again!
