14/01/2026: In an era of carbon heavy bland fast food where good service is rare, thank lord for true family run traditional places like this. It's almost unchanged from what you'd imagine an authentic Italian restaurant should be. Had the best ravioli with ragu sauce ever. Savoured every mouthful with relish. The pizzas were amazing as well. Main courses for €10 and you eat well. Unfussily laid out abd served with a smile. Papa in white apron and cap with a roaring pizza oven. Not the cheap faux type we're offered in uk for over €15. It'll be a very sad day when these types of places are gone. The modern pretenders don't match up I will return as soon as I can to this beautiful little town

01/11/2025: A traditional trattoria, nestled in the Langhe hills. The owner is friendly, approachable, and extremely helpful. The tasting menu is highly recommended: the trio of amazing appetizers, the exceptional pasta with ragù, and the unique main courses. It's clear that all the ingredients are local and delicious.

30/01/2026: Decent pizza. The place is really too small. You can't move around and it feels a bit uncomfortable. Prices and cover charge are decidedly high for the service offered. Furthermore, a simple substitution of a cold cut (prosciutto crudo instead of bresaola) was charged as an extra €3. For a pizza in Saluzzo, you're better off going elsewhere.

29/01/2026: I paid for a tasting event where they were also present. I arrived right on time, and yet they were no longer present because they had probably run out of food. Next time, calculate the amount of food needed to satisfy everyone a little better.

10/08/2025: I was out for a bike ride, stopped in Cavallermaggiore, and asked where a pizzeria was open. They recommended "Nonna Ciccia"... excellent pizza, fair prices, and very kind staff! Thanks also to the girl who recommended it to me.

08/02/2026: An embarrassing evening. A table booked an hour before arrival, scheduled for 8:00 PM. As soon as we sat down, we realized something was wrong: too many reservations compared to the staff. The tables were really packed considering the type of service the place TRIES to offer. Little to say about the menu, a relatively limited wine list with shocking markups. We sat down at 8:10 PM, and our orders were taken at 8:40 PM, precisely when three-quarters of the reserved tables arrived, all full tables: the show began. There was a table for 7, one for 8, and one for 2 waiting to be seated, but the waiter chose to give priority to the tables already seated, nonchalantly continuing to serve water, dishes, and wine for ten minutes as if it were no problem that there were about 20 people standing around waiting for a formality to be seated. Meanwhile, we choose the wine, which is taken from a small cabinet in the center of the room. I go to taste it, and it's at room temperature (over 20°C). So, I ask what the temperature was, and the waiter replies: 14.5°C. I insist on asking for the temperature, not the alcohol content, and to avoid further embarrassing him, I let myself be fooled and pretend to think a cabinet could be a refrigerator. It's around 9:00 PM and our appetizers arrive: a selection of five local cheeses and a pumpkin tart. From our accents, it's clear we're not local. A selection of cheeses is a journey. If you don't tell me where to start and where to end, where to pair the cheese with jam and where not to, it's more of a labyrinth than a journey. We take our time with the appetizers, meanwhile, the tables seated at 8:30 PM receive their first course at 10:00 PM, and some tables of two who had previously been seated and served leave with long faces and words of encouragement for us, who unfortunately have to continue the evening. Key moment: after the appetizers, we had ordered a gnocchi and a tongue: two gnocchi arrive. After pointing out the mistake, the extra gnocchi is taken away, and mine sits there getting cold for about 5 minutes. At a certain point, the waiter takes it away from me, and I think: Come on, at least they got this one back, and instead, what a joke! He returns to the table after 2 minutes with the tongue, which we must say is very good, and the same gnocchi, reheated in the oven!! I noticed this simply by burning myself touching the plate. We go to the cashier to pay, pre-bill 139; I point out that it's embarrassing to choose to put a plate of gnocchi in the oven instead of remaking it, and he always tries to give me a discount, which I refuse. Even worse, he shifts all the blame onto the chef and the kitchen in general. As I told him, the responsibility for these poorly organized evenings is always collective, and this place needs a good dose of humility. Good luck!

11/01/2026: Breathtaking view and excellent food. Delicious dishes and attentive, fast staff. We felt like family. Definitely worth a try. Reservations are recommended as it's very popular.

21/12/2025: I don't usually write reviews, but in this case, after just leaving the restaurant, I felt compelled...the dough and pizza were truly excellent, and the Orange Honey and Pecorino Semifreddo was, well, rare and sublime! I'll definitely add it to my favorites list and be back to try it again!

11/11/2025: A lovely, cozy little place I discovered by chance, but I already know it'll become a regular! In addition to pizza and traditional Piedmontese cuisine, this restaurant offers some Sardinian specialties like culurgiones, which I found exceptional. I also enjoyed excellent cured meats and cheeses, and a delicious Cannonau. 🍷 The place is beautifully decorated and the owners are very kind. Fast service and unbeatable value. See you soon!

09/11/2025: Here is a collection of culinary masterpieces, all the appetizers are simple and delicious, ravioli and tagliolini just like grandma used to make... the cima with chicken is phenomenal, a roast that melts in your mouth... everything is strictly homemade... excellent service. Well done, it's the second time we've come and it's becoming one of our top places...
