22/08/2025: I ate an absolutely delicious ice cream, nothing like the ones you find in stores, even when they claim to be homemade. The chocolate one, especially, had a unique taste: I don't think I've ever tasted anything so good. The lady, adorable and very helpful, served us in a magnificent setting: a small sunny square, with the mountain as a backdrop. A truly suspended moment.

01/11/2025: A restaurant located within the Mondovìcino outlet that offers excellent first and second courses. I recommend the fish dishes, which are remarkable considering the price. The restaurant is divided into two indoor areas and an outdoor area. The desserts are also excellent... enormous 😅 Recommended for groups of friends or families.

21/09/2025: Excellent food, well cooked fish, the only problem was the table service. After ordering, she allowed herself to scold the person in charge of frying, saying so loudly that we felt that this evening he was very generous with the fried food. The result was that the next course was my first, plates full of squid and very large, mine was much smaller and second choice, the squid. She won't serve us any more than this, we are sure, not very smart to make herself heard.

10/11/2025: The setting is very scenic, almost theatrical, with references to Piedmontese tradition and the atmosphere of the Fat Ox Fair. However, once seated, you realize the space is truly limited: the tables are very close together, and eating is quite uncomfortable. Moving or getting up to wash your hands is almost a feat. Gastronomically, the quality of the ingredients is good, and the local tradition is evident. We sampled appetizers and typical dishes related to the Fat Ox: tender and flavorful raw meat, well-made tajarin with ragù, flavorful ravioli, and of course the boiled meats served with the classic side of mashed potatoes and various sauces. However, for some courses the portions are rather small, and seconds are not available, a real shame, considering the type of menu and the conviviality expected from such a lunch. The sauces, though numerous and beautifully presented, are uneven: some are very good (like the Bagnetto Verde), others less convincing in terms of balance and flavor intensity. Greater attention to this aspect would certainly enhance the main course. The selection of local wines is also interesting: Ciabot's 2024 Dogliani pairs well with the meat dishes, and the hazelnut liqueur at the end rounds off the meal in a pleasant and typically Piedmontese way. In short, a positive experience for those who love tradition and want to experience the atmosphere of the fair, but with some reservations about the comfort and generous portions. The overall impression is good, but there is room for improvement, especially in the management of space and attention to certain details in the kitchen.

11/11/2025: The menu was rather limited but very well-balanced. The food was very good and beautifully presented. We had three appetizers for two and two main courses with two sparkling waters for €48. Unlike other reviews, it didn't seem expensive at all. Eating outside on November 1st with such pleasant temperatures isn't something everyone can do every day. We were just passing through while waiting for the villa/castle to open, but if we ever return, we'll definitely be back.

20/06/2025: Tonight we came to eat the mixed fried fish. I must say that we liked it a lot, you couldn't taste the fried oil, each type of fish had its own flavor and with the vegetables combined they had a better taste than you can imagine. I would suggest trying it to believe it.

05/06/2025: Excellent quality and service, the staff is prepared and available for every need of the customers. A place where you can eat a pizza truly similar to the "southern" tradition. If you are a true pizza lover, it is worth trying 🍕

17/09/2025: A classic beer hall with Bavarian or German origins. The space is a bit small inside, but it has the great advantage of outdoor seating just steps from the sea. Clean facilities. An ideal place for an evening with friends for a drink and a bite to eat. Excellent beer. The staff is friendly and courteous. The owner, being experienced and having worked extensively at similar establishments, certainly knows how to please his customers. Prices are reasonable. Must try..👍🏽

15/09/2025: On our way back from a trip to Upega, we stopped for lunch at this restaurant. The dining room offers a beautiful view of the valley. On Sundays, they only offer a tasting menu, which includes six appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, and dessert, including wine and water. All for €35. The price is fair for the quality and quantity. The staff is attentive and friendly. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant is almost always fully booked. I highly recommend it.

09/06/2025: An Unforgettable Experience at Osteria in Piola. I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I can say that it was an extraordinary experience. The decor is very distinctive, the thing that really catches the eye are the barrels but also the counter, creating an elegant and welcoming atmosphere, further enriched by a spectacular view that makes every moment suggestive. The food is simply excellent, with masterfully prepared dishes and very fresh ingredients. The wide selection of wines perfectly complements each course. The staff is incredibly kind and super hospitable, making you feel immediately at ease. In short, Osteria in Piola is a true gem of Arguello. I highly recommend it!

Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to the first and second courses, and even the endless array of desserts (special mention for the yogurt and berry panna cotta), which were truly excellent. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

02/10/2025: I was invited to this place for my birthday on Sunday. It's really a charming old rectory converted into an inn. It's furnished with old-fashioned peasant objects. The outdoor garden is also very beautiful. They serve a single, surprise menu for everyone. Appetizers, first courses, second courses with side dishes, and desserts. They always come with second helpings. Everything is delicious and authentic, all homemade. Excellent raw meat and roast beef. Reservations are a must; otherwise, it's difficult to find a table. I don't know the price because they paid for me.

09/11/2025: We haven't ordered a place but the manager made his effort and find us a table for an hour. They are so friendly and let you feel comfortable. The pizza was good, the gnocchi was too cheesy but still 5/5

08/11/2025: I went to this restaurant for lunch today with friends, and I have to say our experience was truly excellent. I recommend the fondue flan and the fantastic tajarin with black truffle. The service was reliable and the wait staff were friendly. The prices were slightly lower than average. Highly recommended.

15/08/2025: We went to this restaurant to introduce it to some friends. We had a great time; the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The price was also not to be underestimated: €20 for four appetizers, a first course, a second course, and dessert. I complimented the chef, who was truly kind. I recommend it to everyone. Plus, it's located in Chianale, a charming village.
