18/09/2025: Spacious place on two floors. The pizza is small and very thin, but still well-topped. When they asked us where we wanted to sit, I wish they'd told me that they only serve burgers on the first floor 🥲.

02/09/2025: The food is excellent. This is the trattoria of the past. During the week, the menu is limited to one appetizer, one first course, one second course with side dish, an addition that can be a small omelette, a bottle of wine (white or red), bottled water, dessert, and coffee. So, the fixed menu. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, it doubles in size, and everything is delicious. The tablecloth and napkins are made of white cotton. The cost during the week is the same as a sandwich and a beer at the bar; it increases on weekends and holidays... but always moderate. The only drawback? In the summer, mulled wine... no ice or ice buckets... but you can survive. Make a reservation because it's always full.

26/08/2025: On Saturday evening, after a day spent trekking in the mountains, we decided to have dinner at this trattoria after evaluating several other restaurants in the area. We read that the restaurant offers several fixed-price menus weekly. The one we were interested in for Saturday dinner consisted of 5 appetizers, 2 first courses, 2 second courses, dessert, and coffee (I specify that it is not à la carte, so you don't choose; you eat whatever the chef offers that evening). The fixed price per person is €25, and given the freshly prepared food, without preheating, all guests begin dinner at 8:30 PM. Having clarified these simple, but fundamental, restaurant practices, we moved on to making a reservation by phone (this is recommended, as is reading the menu and serving times for lunch (12:30 PM) and dinner (8:30 PM) to avoid misunderstandings or incorrect expectations). A very characteristic restaurant with wooden interiors and furnishings, as soon as you enter you grasp the values ​​of Piedmontese tradition and perceive the flavors of their excellent cuisine under your palate. Home cooking that is expertly and simply enjoyed, dish after dish, allowing us to savor all the dishes offered and even have a few second helpings kindly offered by the owner (honestly, I found him kind and helpful; he always responded politely). The dinner continued in a calm and serene atmosphere where one could breathe in the ancient tradition of Piedmontese trattorias that the place still preserves excellently. Home cooking from the appetizers to the first courses, the second courses (all with flavor combinations that married perfectly with each other, enriching and tantalizing the palate), homemade bread and finally dessert and a good coffee to close the meal full and satisfied. Free parking in the forecourt covers about fifteen cars. Outdoor terrace for dogs that are not allowed inside. I understand from the owner's responses to some negative reviews that often people, unlike us, go full of expectations and without considering the type of place they choose, which perhaps does not fit their target and their needs. Expectations. I'd also like to add that the bathroom is a bit tacky, which some people say is not very clean. It's true that it should be kept clean, but those who use it should also be careful. My deepest sympathy goes to the owner, and my compliments again for the excellent management and excellent food. We'll definitely be back to eat there. We like tradition, and their food, too. My only regret is that smokers don't move a few steps further away (since they just can't resist a smoke) and that they let an unpleasant smell of smoke into the restaurant. We were seated near the counter in the small room near the door.

Piadina with Bra sausage + squacquerone cheese and pistachio cream... delicious, perfectly cooked, and excellent quality ingredients. Don't be fooled by the price; it's very generous. Plus, the lady at the cash register is super friendly. Take advantage of the internal kiosks to order to avoid the line.

12/08/2025: We could not recommend this place more. It was a fantastic stay. Roberta and Marco were fantastic hosts. Their place is located in a most beautiful setting, and a great place to relax and enjoy good food and good wine. Having the pool was also great at the end of a hot day. We had dinner there both of the nights we stayed and it was well worth it - the food was amazing. Definitely recommend.

03/08/2025: We had the pleasure of staying at the inn for 3 days on a family getaway. The owners are absolutely kind, friendly, and welcoming. We had a wonderful time! The property is charming, welcoming, with a pool, and strategically located for exploring the area. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The cuisine amazed us greatly: absolutely exquisite dishes featuring typical local dishes for both dinners we had at the inn. The breakfast buffet is abundant with variety: from sweet to savory, with cold cuts and cheese... and absolutely delicious homemade cakes! We'd love to try everything! We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it :)

Questo ha resto impossibile mangiare e chiacchierare in tranquillità, relax rovinato! cucina mediocre : primo piatto troppo cotto, brasato molto salato, e per il periodo mi aspettavo qualche piatto estivo ma invece, mancava solo la polenta per rivivere dicembre! 11/10/2025: We visited Hosteria dai Musi for lunch as a group of six and overall had a good experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We all ordered both primi piatti and secondi piatti, and while the meal started off excellent, there were a few small issues with the main courses. The primi piatti for everyone were absolutely delicious — beautifully cooked, full of flavor, and perfectly seasoned. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation. Unfortunately, the secondi piatti didn’t quite live up to the same high standard. Two of us ordered the tagliatelle with white truffle butter, with the option to add fresh white truffle on top. Since the dish already included truffle butter, they chose to have it without the additional truffle topping. However, the plates were served with normal butter and no truffle flavor at all, which was disappointing. Another guest ordered the brasato with mashed potatoes but requested it without truffle butter — it then arrived without any mashed potatoes either, which seemed like a simple misunderstanding but still affected the overall experience. Despite these small mix-ups, the food quality in general remains very high, and we know from past visits that Hosteria dai Musi can be absolutely fantastic. The flavors, presentation, and overall vibe of the place still make it worth recommending — especially for anyone who loves authentic, carefully prepared dishes in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Review from last visit: Wonderful restaurant. We had an absolutely amazing lunch at Hostarua dai Musi. The good was just phenomenal. We had a Vitello Tonnato as a starter and it was probably the best I have ever eaten. The tonnato was a bit mousse like and therefore very fluffy. The food in general was outstanding and I can highly recommend trying the Hostaria dai Musi when you’re visiting Alba.

21/09/2025: AVOID. Distressingly slow service: ignored for more than 20 minutes after closing the menus, while the room was half empty. And the oysters? Advertised "by the piece" on the menu, but refused once seated—only on a tray. A "Michelin restaurant" that only has a Michelin star in its label, certainly not in its service.

27/07/2025: During our vacation, we had a fantastic meal here with our two daughters. Local cuisine with delicious dishes in generous portions. Every dish was delicious. The perfect and friendly service from the owner's daughter was especially special. She was incredibly customer-friendly and thoughtful, even when it came to preparing dishes for the children. Service as it should be, but even better because you can see and feel the passion for the restaurant and the food. Perfect!

02/11/2025: A magical place, it feels like staying in a castle. The family management is sublime, you can tell they really care. Spotlessly clean and elegant rooms, the restaurant food is truly excellent! The cellar is well-stocked with an excellent wine list! We'll definitely be back.
