21/07/2025: Il locale è curatissimo ed è un piacere per la vista prima che per il gusto. Carta dei vini profonda e ricercata. Cucina ottima, servizio veloce e impeccabile, oltre che sorridente.

01/07/2025: Abbiamo trascorso un breve week end nella splendida Val Maira. Una valle forse meno esplorata ma ricchissima di storia e tradizione. In ogni angolo ho ritrovato dettagli di un passato prezioso. Siamo stati ospiti della Locanda Lou Pitavin. La locanda è INCANTEVOLE. I proprietari hanno svolto un lavoro di recupero accurato e rispettoso. Ogni dettaglio è davvero eccezionale dalla stanza di lettura, alle sale destinate a pranzi, cene e colazioni. Il calore, l'eleganza informale, il profumo del legno, pervadono tutti gli spazi. Anche il giardino esterno con piante aromatiche, rose, fiori e il prato curatissimo, invitano alle passeggiate scalzi. E naturalmente la colazione e la cena servite con una mise en place conviviale e distinta. Le portate della tradizione sono di livello eccelso e servite in maniera impeccabile. Ottima carta dei vini. Tutto il personale è gentilissimo e attento. Noi abbiamo pernottato nelle camere condivise "Ensemo", posto tappa per le passeggiate. Le camere condivise sono spaziose, molto pulite e i bagni (uno in ogni camera) grandi e ben congegnati. Anche i prodotti per il messi a disposizione, sapone e shampo, profumano di pulito e di montagna. Mi sfugge qualcosa? Non ho visto le camere dei piani superiori ma sono certa che non tradirebbero le aspettative

25/06/2025: An excellence of the Langhe not to be missed The restaurant "Da Maurizio" in Cravanzana is a true pearl nestled among the Piedmont hills. Each dish is a hymn to tradition, enhanced by raw materials of extraordinary quality, treated with respect and passion. The agnolotti with butter and sage are simply divine: the thin pasta encloses a tasty and delicate filling, enhanced by the simplicity of a classic seasoning that leaves room for the authentic taste of the ingredients. The guinea fowl is tender, juicy and fragrant, cooked to perfection and capable of surprising for its intensity of flavor and lightness at the same time. A dish that conquers at the first bite. The braised meat is a masterpiece: soft meat that melts in the mouth, flavored by a long cooking in wine that enhances every nuance. Rich, enveloping, irresistible. Finally, the rabbit roll is an elegant expression of peasant cuisine revisited with mastery. Tasty but delicate, stuffed with ingredients that blend together perfectly. The service is excellent: the sales assistants are kind, helpful and attentive to the customer. Inside there is a wide choice of types of chocolate, perfect for all tastes, as well as a really good ice cream, ideal for a tasty break. In short, an excellent stop for chocolate lovers, where quality and courtesy go hand in hand

06/07/2025: This is my second post on Arancera the first was very positive but it was a Sunday lunch, then twice attended for midweek lunch..... The first time we left the second courses, this time the first courses.... It doesn't cost much to make pasta based on the number of diners while they serve themselves from the vegetable buffet. Keep first and second courses warm for hours.... But not even in the worst canteen.... 15€ to eat badly... No thanks. There are places that for less you can eat well, At least there is no pasta that looks like rubber.

27/06/2025: Super catering! We got married on June 21, 2025 and I chose, fortunately, to rely on Raffaella and her mother who made this day fantastic. The service was impeccable, the food beyond exquisite and abundant thanks to their chef Danilo Fontana. What can I say about the wedding cake and the dessert buffet ... an indescribable goodness thanks to the Caffè Posta pastry shop in Bra by Donatella Fontana. In short, an exceptional team to the point that I would marry again 1000 times just to have them by my side. 06/07/2025: Had lunch here today. Very nice place slightly higher than the main road and surrounded by trees and flower plants that make the location of this tavern cooler. We had lunch and drank very well with typical Piedmontese products from the chopped meat to the fantastic hazelnut cake. Excellent wine and excellent grappas, the latter rightly praised by the owner of the place. The presence of a swimming pool with sun loungers and games for children completes everything, which in this heat is not a bad thing. Everything perfect and fast and precise service. I liked it a lot.

06/07/2025: We opted for the afternoon pool + dinner package and we had a great time. Booked via whatsapp; the garden is well-kept as is the pool area; we dined outside: the dishes are excellent with quality local products. The staff is really kind. We highly recommend it!

10/07/2025: An oasis of tranquility in the Alps with views stretching all the way to the Ligurian Sea. Luckily, the last 400 meters of the road are a mountain dirt road, preventing access to any type of vehicle, although a slightly taller car is sufficient. It has a large green space with loungers and hammocks for relaxing. We had a wonderful lunch, with a special mention for the roast pork cooked with apples like a stew. The house digestif, whose name I don't remember, was very good. Worth it.

The staff at the refuge welcomed us with contagious smiles and a helpfulness that immediately put both adults and children at ease. 03/08/2025: Ho soggiornato e cenato al Cavallo Bianco….. peccato, una delusione! La ben nota fama del locale, mi ha portato a prenotare un soggiorno e una cena al cavallo bianco. Le camere sono trascurate, nonostante gli affreschi al soffitto che erano apprezzabili. La parte peggiore è stata la cena con menù degustazione: Antipasti misti freddi e caldi: due assaggini per piatto, miseri e scontati! Risotto al castelmagno: riso precotto con bollitura e finito in padella con salsa di formaggi (anche altri, non solo castelmagno) Tagliata ordinata e portata al tavolo in tre minuti netti: era tiepida, ma tenera, probabilmente precotta e ripassata sulla piastra. Non va….. 180 euro per una notte, un menù degustazione e due piatti, non va proprio!

28/06/2025: Ristorante nella media, un po' sotto le aspettative rispetto alla media delle recensioni. Risotto alla castelmagno buono nel sapore ma decisamente scotto, filetto di maiale con tartufo nero filamentoso e un po' stopposo. Buono il dolce. Non abbiamo preso la pizza che sembra gustosa vedendo i tavoli attorno a noi. Personale disponibile ed accogliente.
