02/12/2025: Excellent Confirmation lunch in a lounge with a fireplace Traditional Piedmontese cuisine prepared with care

19/11/2025: Upon arriving at 9pm, we were left waiting at reception while the staff member finished a personal conversation. This immediately set the wrong tone. When we finally asked about an evening meal, we were told there was “no availability” because other guests had chosen to dine in. No effort was made to offer an alternative, no solutions were suggested, and we were simply directed to a local pizzeria. This level of indifference is unacceptable. A 4-star hotel should never leave guests without any dining options or basic consideration. Even a simple gesture—such as offering something light at the bar—would have demonstrated care and professionalism. We escalated the issue the following morning, yet the response from another colleague only reinforced the same dismissive attitude. Overall, the service we received was not only disappointing but far below what any guest should expect from a hotel of this rating, this simply ruined our short weekend break. "Date stayed Friday 14th for two nights"

25/02/2026: Since they opened a few years ago, it's quickly become my favorite place. Yesterday, I returned for the second time to celebrate my birthday, as well as for other family lunches. The place still has its charm, even though it's a docked steamship, the journey of flavors you experience when tasting their dishes is wonderful. Excellent wines and exquisite pairings, the staff is truly kind, courteous, friendly, never intrusive, and truly, very helpful. This is the classic, hard-to-find example of a restaurant where they make you feel at home, pamper you, and let you taste truly original dishes made with the highest quality ingredients. 01/02/2026: If you're driving near Fornovo Val di Taro, leave the highway and head to Osteria Le Vigne (Varano de' Melegari) and treat yourself to a truly excellent lunch or dinner. The atmosphere, food, and service are all top-notch, making you wonder why the service can't be this good everywhere. In any case, it's a very unique place that offers traditional Parmesan dishes with a touch of originality. Excellent ingredients expertly prepared. A carefully crafted food and wine list. And to top it all off, an absolutely reasonable bill. Well done. Don't change!! 👍

17/02/2026: A True Local Gem in the Heart of Piazzo ❤️ Located in Piazzo, the beautifully preserved medieval upper town of Biella, Osteria Due Cuori sits under the historic arcades, perfectly in tune with its surroundings. Piazzo itself is a charming, timeless area, full of history and atmosphere, and well worth the visit on its own. The osteria is a quaint, cozy spot, run with great care by a young man and his aunt; la Zia. Both are extremely friendly, efficient, and make you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you arrive. I started with a very good Negroni, followed by il nostro vitello tonnato con caramello al limone — excellent, with a lovely balance of flavors. For the main course, I had the Tagliata “Marchisio” alla piastra (approx. 300g) with oven-roasted potatoes, exactly as expected: perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Worth noting: I was there on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. It’s not a large restaurant, but the fact that I was the only tourist says a lot… this is clearly a place with a strong local following and an excellent reputation among Biella residents. A wonderful experience and definitely one to be repeated.

27/01/2026: A magical place located on a panoramic terrace overlooking the lake. The winter version, however, offers a more intimate and homey setting around the large fireplace. Superlative food and prices reflect the quality of the ingredients and service. Definitely worth returning.

17/03/2026: Quality food in a refined, elegant, and welcoming atmosphere. Attentive, fast, and friendly service. Our dogs were welcomed with no problem (and were good under the table throughout the meal, as usual). Excellent desserts. The wine list is exciting, but it's off-limits due to driving. What a shame!
