28/05/2025: Local muy coqueto con comida bastante aceptable. El servicio es correcto sin alcanzar la simpatía, menos aún si no hablas italiano. Para ser una ciudad universitaria tendrían que revisar esto. El precio, en línea con lo habitual en Italia, abusivo.

25/05/2025: Ci siamo trovati a fare un giro a Pavia e prenotare al cupolone perché tutti ne parlano bene . Purtroppo abbiamo fatto un po’ tardi siamo arrivati alle 21:15 ( un sabato 24 maggio ) Prenotiamo e ci consigliano risotto con ossobuco , curiosi lo prendiamo , ci facciamo servire prima in antipasto longobardo ( se non erro ) . 4 persone ci portano 3 gnocchi fritti ( vabbè ) una ciotolina scarsa di cipolle caramellate , i salumi vabbè . Arriva risotto con osso buco ( porzione abbondante ) ma il risotto sembrava cotto in acqua , e l’ossobuco sembrava bollito. Alle 22:30 sembra come se fossimo di troppo quindi in via vai di camerieri che sembrava ( dico a noi cliente sembrava ) mettessero ansia per mandarci via . Mi fa strano perché sul menu c’è scritto pane , coperto sorrisi e abbracci a 2,59. Mai sorrisi e abbracci l’avevano finiti?

02/06/2025: If I could I would give zero. We were there today and we were very disappointed, service was embarrassing to say the least, waiting for appetizer and 2 first courses of almost 2 hours. Super small menu and really terrible quality. The cold cuts and cheese platter absolutely not justified its price of 20 euros, and the two first courses: dry braised ravioli with a little bit of braised meat and my lean ravioli seem like the ones from the supermarket of very low quality.. The whole thing 63 euros, I would say a steal. NEVER AGAIN.

20/05/2025: Cover charge 3 euros per person. Dishes neither praiseworthy nor infamous with first courses costing 14 euros, appetizers and second courses costing 20 euros. What was served was not worth the price paid in my opinion, for example the ribs were enormous, fatty with overcooked and greasy sauce. The first course, a kind of green gnocchi was "kneaded" and tasteless. We did not have the "luck" to try the Varzi cake because "it ran out the night before"... The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is kind.

25/05/2025: Very nice place but with the change of management the level has dropped dramatically. Tasteless and anonymous dishes, the tiramisu was even a bit rancid, poor service and an embarrassing wine list. Never again

11/05/2025: Very good food in Pavia! A Sunday with the family... a bit of a wait but the food was delicious! The wine list was also a bit too expensive... However, it will remain a good memory of Pavia!

05/04/2025: Dopo una lunga serata decidiamo di entrare in questo posto e subito veniamo accolti dal fragrante odore di olio fritto talmente forte da far pensare che utilizzino sempre lo stesso all'inaugurazione (e da quel che ne so parliamo di un locale storico). Non essendo tipo da pretendere un locale gourmet ordiniamo le pizze, e si quest'ultime che dire: facevano talmente schifo da fare il giro e diventare buone per poi ritornare a fare schifo in un nanosecondo. Veramente Inizio a pensare che chi definisca ottimo un tale scempio mangi topi morti a colazione. Un "plauso" va fatto ad un baldanzoso signore (che presumo sia il titolare) che fa i prezzi sul momento, nonostante vi sia un menù da consultare: stesse pizze ordinate in momenti diversi hanno un prezzo differente🤣. In conclusione, qualora abbiate problemi ad andare in bagno, potreste valutare una pizza di questo posto, invece del Levolac: eviterete di far sapere a tutta la farmacia di non riuscire ad evacuare.

02/04/2025: Good restaurant not far from the center of Pavia. Excellent pizza, average waiting times and friendly staff. Very welcoming environment and balanced prices. The only (but small) flaw I found is that the waiters don't always pay attention if customers need something, for example they take a long time before collecting the dishes. Despite this the restaurant remains of excellent quality.

05/05/2025: We went for dinner and found a large, clean and well-furnished environment, with convenient internal parking. You can choose between a tasting menu for 40 euros or eat à la carte. The tasting menu includes several appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, dessert, coffee, water and wine. The dishes were excellent, very well prepared (which is not always a given in a farmhouse) and the service was courteous and efficient.

01/04/2025: During a business trip, I found this agriturismo, which allowed me to stay for a night in the area I needed. I was warmly welcomed by the owners with remarkable kindness and hospitality. While the rooms are basic and the noise from the restaurant below is quite noticeable, once the service ends, you can enjoy a good level of peace, despite the proximity to the busy main road. I particularly want to highlight the option to have dinner on-site at a very reasonable fixed price, with food that is absolutely fresh and delicious. I highly recommend trying the house wine, which is produced directly on the premises. I hope to return soon!

15/04/2025: We stopped here for a work lunch break, good food, friendly staff and excellent value for money. If in the area we will definitely return.

29/05/2025: Great experience! Refined and good food. The environment is well-kept and clean. I will definitely go back. I recommend it to board game and role-playing game enthusiasts. A really nice initiative in Pavia! ✌🏻

29/04/2025: I was there last Saturday for my birthday and it is a real medieval-style tavern. Fantasy themed food and simple dishes with interesting combinations. Board games and cards are also available.

24/05/2025: Dopo svariati tentativi siamo finalmente riusciti a trovare posto….solo adesso abbiamo capito il perché….cucina eccezionale,un viaggio spettacolare, creatività estro e genialità….locanda del “matto” non è sufficiente…PAZZO sarebbe meglio!!! Bravissimi!!!

13/04/2025: Locale molto accogliente con pochi coperti.Camerieri molto preparati e super gentili,cucina con abbinamenti particolari e di ottima qualità, i dolci eccellenti sia x la vista che x il palato...da provare assolutamente.

28/04/2025: Un ristorante molto grazioso, accogliente e ben curato nel centro di Varzi. Abbiamo gustato dei cibi tradizionali. Antipasti con i salumi del luogo, primi con pasta fatta in casa cosi come per i dolci. Cibo ottimo. Attività gestita da sole donne: consigliatissimo.

27/04/2025: Una piacevole sorpresa tra le colline dell'oltrepò. Cucina fresca e casereccia in un ambiente accogliente e ricco di oggetti antichi. I proprietari sono cortesi e se avvisati per tempo riescono a soddifare le intolleranze alimentari attezzandosi per il menù senza glutine e altre esigenze. Le porzioni sono abbondanti e il prezzo più che adeguato. Consigliato per una sosta durante le gite fuori porta nel territorio!

02/04/2025: Che dire..... prenotato per caso, dopo il classico giro per acquisto vini. Siamo rimasti molto entusiasti sia per l'accoglienza e la gentilezza della signora che ci ha servito, che di quello che abbiamo mangiato. Quello che mi ha colpito, sono stati dei tagliolini con ragù di coppa e pezzetti di coppa, marinata nel vino fatti saltare in padella come il bacon. Un altro piatto degno di nota, sempre pasta con radicchio e un erborinato del Penice. Sicuramente torneremo, anche perché vorremmo provare la veranda. Consigliato

13/05/2025: Sicuramente, sono stato parecchie volte qui, e la locazione, è meraviglioso. Devo dire, che anche il menù fisso, a soli 13 euro, è impareggiabile. Come primo, tortiglioni all'arrabbiata. Il sugo, una vera delizia, è all'onda, cioe, la pasta rimane meravigliosa, senza incollarlo. Il secondo, che ho scelto, una braciola con patatina fritte. Le patatine più buone che abbia mai mangiato. E la braciola? Eccellente, fatta alla piastra, sembra chev" TI PARLI ", e dice, " MANGIAMI ". Secondo me " ALLE GROTTE DI ARES ", è un " LUOGO MAGICO ", dove le persone oltre a mangiare, apprezzano una cucina " CASALINGA " che " RARAMENTE SIBTROVA. E che dire della pizza? La pizza è " FANTASTICA ". Tutte le volte, Alban, il cuoco, mette " LA SUA MAGIA NELL'IMPASTO ", è la pizza, " TE LA DIVORI " . Devo dire che " ALLE GROTTE DI ARES ", è un locale " MAGICO ". dove le persone si ritrovano, e trovano un luogo di " PACE E TRANQUILLITÀ ". E il prezzo? 26/04/2025: I have been there several times both to consume the "à la carte" menu and for a simple pizza. I have to say I've always had a really good time. I really like their pizzas as well as their cooked dishes. Ah, tonight I'm going there for a pizza with my son... Very kind staff, fast service. Advised!!!

05/06/2025: Abbiamo scelto l’agriturismo N’uovo per festeggiare il battesimo della nostra piccola e non avremmo potuto fare scelta migliore! La location è incantevole, curata nei minimi dettagli e immersa nel verde, perfetta per un’occasione così speciale. Il personale è stato estremamente disponibile, attento e cordiale: ci hanno fatto sentire accolti come in famiglia. Il cibo è stato uno dei punti forti della giornata: ogni piatto era preparato con ingredienti freschissimi e servito con grande cura. Tutti gli invitati ci hanno fatto i complimenti per la qualità del menù e l’atmosfera rilassata ma elegante. Un grazie di cuore a tutto lo staff per aver reso indimenticabile questo giorno così importante per noi. Torneremo sicuramente, e lo consigliamo con tutto il cuore a chi cerca un posto autentico, accogliente e speciale per festeggiare i propri momenti più belli.
