An excellent agriturismo nestled in the hills of the Pavia province, with extremely friendly staff, excellent cuisine, and very fair prices. Definitely a place we'll gladly return to. Highly recommended.

A few kilometers from Stradella, nestled among vineyards, lies La Casa dei Nonni, a typical Oltrepò Pavese farmhouse. We went here on Sunday for lunch: - which included mixed appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, dessert, water, wine, and coffee (excluding only liqueurs and premium wines). The price was truly fair, not only for the quantity; the portions were more than generous, and the quality of the dishes was truly excellent! Try it! 👍

A farmhouse nestled in the Oltrepó Pavese countryside, near Stradella. The atmosphere is quaint and clean, and the staff are very attentive and welcoming. We had a fixed-price lunch during the Christmas period. The menu consisted of: an appetizer with a selection of homemade cured meats; two first courses: risotto with pears and Taleggio cheese (remarkable, the rice was cooked perfectly) and trofiette with sausage and mushroom ragù. The second courses: roast veal fillet with potatoes and stewed chicken with polenta. The cured meats were excellent (the cotechino was amazing), and the meat was tender and succulent. We finished with desserts (various options): chocolate salami with orange sauce, pear strudel with vanilla cream, chocolate parfait, pavesini biscuits, and hazelnuts. Wine and water were included. They also accommodated our vegetarian requests very well, offering a very respectable alternative menu. The price was absolutely reasonable: €40 per person. A truly good place to taste local specialties that I highly recommend and where I will return.
