21/10/2025: My partner and I booked the "Giovani Forchette" menu for lunch, €50 for five courses.
It wasn't indicated that cover charge and bread weren't included, so we were charged an additional fee for these. Furthermore, one of the courses was a small pastry (in addition to the main dessert), a choice that seemed a bit clever.
Final bill:
2 "Giovani Forchette" menus 50x2 + cover charge and bread 12 + water 12 + (a glass of champagne and a glass of classic method with a Venetian cicchetto) 25 + 14 = €163.
Dishes tasted:
Breadsticks with creamed cod as a cicchetto paired with the glass, rather unremarkable scallops au gratin, parmesan rice with licorice and meat stock, suckling pig with sweet and sour sauce, mascarpone ice cream with coffee granita, and small pastries.
All the dishes were good, but only the rice with licorice really impressed me. The cod breadsticks were very greasy, and one of the cookies from the small bakery was undercooked—a minor detail, but you wouldn't expect it from a restaurant that aspires to a certain level (perhaps the lack of attention is due to the "budget" menu?).
The service was the most disappointing aspect.
The maître d' tried to be brilliant, but he made one gaffe after another, coming across as anything but courteous or welcoming: he couldn't open the cork on a sparkling wine, he brought me an already opened champagne instead of the one I requested, and in general he seemed very agitated.
The other waiter wasn't any more precise: he didn't bring me bread (which I had to ask for), he poured water hastily, and when he had to explain two dishes, I couldn't understand him very well, both because of his low voice and his uncertain Italian. Even the stained placemat certainly didn't help the overall impression.
In conclusion:
We didn't eat badly, but we didn't have a memorable meal either.
The unexpected costs and lackluster service left a bitter taste in our mouths.
Perhaps the difference in treatment is due to the "Young Forks" menu? In any case, it shouldn't be.

In a refined setting, where every detail betrays obsessive attention to detail, I had the privilege of enjoying a sensory experience that transcends mere dining to elevate itself to a moment of pure gastronomic contemplation.
The welcome was impeccable, orchestrated by a service that possesses the rare virtue of being present without ever being intrusive—waiters whose courtesy manifests itself in measured gestures and an encyclopedic knowledge of the day's specials.
**The Mushroom and Elderflower Risotto**
Before me, a risotto materialized that resembled an autumn palette: the grains of Carnaroli rice, perfectly creamed, released that velvety creaminess that only patient dedication to the kitchen can impart.
The porcini mushrooms, sliced generously, exuded forest floor aromas, while the delicate, almost evanescent floral notes of elderflower danced on the palate like an aromatic counterpoint of rare elegance.
A dish that poetically narrates the region.
**The Aged Cheeses and Cà del Bosco**
Following this, two tastings of aged cheeses completed the narrative: the first, a medium-aged cheese with a firm texture and a nutty flavor; the second, bolder, with pronounced crystallization and almost piquant notes that challenged the palate.
The pairing with the **Cà del Bosco Vintage Collection Satèn** proved to be an oenological symphony: this Franciacorta, with its fine and persistent foam, presented delicate notes of noble yeasts, fresh butter, and hints of pastry on the nose.
On the palate, its characteristic creaminess—that roundness that only the satèn method can provide—caressed the cheeses, smoothing out their harsher edges and amplifying their subtlest nuances.
The palate, of rare elegance, lingered in a very long finish where toasted almonds and candied citrus fruits harmoniously intertwined.
The wine cellar, moreover, deserves a special mention: a wine selection that favors the great Franciacorta labels, testimony to a philosophy that celebrates the terroir of excellence.
Also noteworthy are the cultural events that the establishment regularly hosts, a sign of a vision that transcends the purely commercial dimension.
The quality-price ratio falls within the range where the financial investment is fully justified by the overall experience offered.
My return is already marked on the palate's agenda.

18/11/2025: Exceptional seafood restaurant, the best between Tortoreto, Alba and Giulianova.
I am a regular customer and the quality and freshness of the fish has never disappointed me, so as an appetizer I always opt for a nice raw fish platter.
The last time I tried sushi and obviously I was very satisfied.
As for the first courses, they are good but very classic, in fact I only tried the linguine with tuna tartare, basil and ginger pesto once, delicate and pleasant.
Highly recommended!

13/08/2025: I understand that it's August 13th and that the employees may not feel like working, but a little courtesy would be appreciated given the price of a 33cl glass of beer.
When I asked what type of beer it was, I was shown a chalkboard explaining the ingredients.
I don't recommend the high prices, and the beer they sell can be found in other places with superior service and courtesy.

13/10/2025: Very nice restaurant. I enjoyed almost every dish, and the fish was really fresh.
I recommend the Catalan-style shrimp, the grilled fish, and especially the fregola! I didn't like the turbot.
The service was attentive, and everyone was very friendly and approachable. Despite being a well-known restaurant, it was my first time there, but I'll definitely be back.

16/11/2025: IL Remolino Restaurant ..via AL Porto 19 ...Casaletto Ceredano province of Cremona. It is already open and closes at 3.30 pm ..and then reopens at 6.30 pm. Here you can eat Happy Hour food, there is a fireplace, really beautiful, and here you can also eat vegan dishes. Here they focus a lot on good cuisine elaborated with innovations, even gourmet, but with local products. Here, in addition to lunches and dinners, you can also enjoy excellent aperitifs in this wonderful place in the heart of the Adda Park..inside this structure located in an equestrian center..with a bar, and a restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. This..is the right place to spend a weekend in good company..try it.

22/10/2025: I agree with my previous reviews: dining at Giovanni Cattaneo is always a wonderful surprise! The raw fish appetizer is superbly high-quality and incredibly creative. Other appetizers and first courses are delicious, the meat-based main courses masterfully cooked and harmoniously flavored, and the desserts are classic and perfectly executed. The wine list, featuring many historic vintages of great Italian and international wines, is worth the trip.
The service is punctual, courteous, and very professional, but without self-congratulatory rhetoric, which usually conceals ulterior motives.
Congratulations to Giovanni and his entire staff!
