It was hasty and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. A curt "WE DO NOT ACCEPT PETS" bothered me a little... But maybe it's just my impression... From the reviews, I can assume it's truly a place worth trying... From the photos, you can even smell it🤣. It's a real shame... I'll update the review if and when I manage to go WITHOUT a dog...

18/09/2025: We went for dinner. The place was welcoming and the service was friendly. The location is beautiful, overlooking the lake. Being vegan, I "only" had a vegetable dish, but it was cooked very well. Special mention for the sweet and sour red onions. I hope to find something more next time.

29/09/2025: The worst restaurant of our entire three-week trip through Italy. One star for the great location and the cheap water price. The rest: outrageous! Almost an hour of waiting for an overpriced bit of nothing. €30 for a small piece of fatty and over-salted fish, with no vegetables on the side, and a small salad consisting of a few leaves of green lettuce with a few pieces of tomato. The lasagna was dry, bland, and partially burnt. The bread was dry. I had to get salt and pepper from the counter myself to season the salad. The women's restroom was dirty! Absolutely not recommended!!! If you came for the beautiful view, it's better to have a coffee a few meters away and enjoy a delicious ice cream for a fraction of the price.

29/09/2025: Waited 45 minutes (!) for the food - a menu only as a QR code with translations into other languages ​​not working - lasagne for 15 euros and a leaf salad for 5 euros was cheeky/rip-off - under no circumstances would I enter the restaurant again

22/09/2025: The place is very nice on the outside, but inside there was definitely the smoke I'd read about in some reviews. The pizza was good, Neapolitan-style. The fried foods and desserts were equally good. The service was friendly, but could be improved. What I didn't like were the placemats on the tables (which, unfortunately, are NOT disposable) because they were really dirty and sticky, and considering you use them to put your napkin and cutlery, I didn't like that at all. There's no parking; you have to look for it on the street.

19/09/2025: I never thought I'd be eating the best pizza I've ever had in Bolsena at 10:00 PM, after arriving from Emilia. The staff were very kind, even though it was late, and we were practically the only ones there. Thank you. Wonderful.

18/09/2025: For us, it was the best value for money restaurant in that neighborhood, with very friendly, authentic Sardinian service and cuisine. Large portions for a low price. The Sardinian bread (almost chips) is excellent here because it's freshly baked with coarse salt and sparkling olive oil.

10/09/2025: Highly recommended! La Forchetta Sarda is pure poetry in a welcoming atmosphere, accompanied by an exceptional culinary experience with a riot of authentic and genuine flavors. This is matched by its extraordinary owners and the wait staff, who are always present without being intrusive, to best advise customers on how to delight their palate. The freshness and quality of the ingredients combined with the attentive service ensure they will never be disappointed. All in a particularly warm and familiar atmosphere, simply clean and comfortable. I will return soon with infinite pleasure!

05/06/2025: Great food, fish dinner, excellent raw and cooked seafood appetizers, pear-filled gnocchi with cheese cream and truffle to try! Excellent grilled fish, excellent desserts prepared by the chef.

01/10/2025: We were refused to eat here when we went inside the restaurant. The lady even scolded my friend on what she was wearing (off shoulder top), very unnecessary. Very bad experience. We just went out of the restaurant, even so, she continued to tell us that it was wrong to enter the restaurant. Hays.

23/08/2025: It's always a shame for me to leave a negative review, especially when the location is truly delightful: small but meticulously maintained and with a pleasant atmosphere. For this very reason, I believe constructive criticism can help both the owners, helping them grow and improve, and future customers, helping them have a more satisfying experience. During our dinner, however, several inconveniences arose that I must point out. As soon as we sat down, we found the placemat dirty, likely not replaced after the previous service. A detail that alone wouldn't have ruined the evening, but unfortunately it was the first in a series of oversights. We ordered a first course to share and two second courses. Unfortunately, the tagliatelle with lamb ragù was so salty that it was difficult to enjoy. The wild boar meatballs, however, arrived cold and partly burned. Finally, the sliced ​​beef: we weren't asked how it was cooked, and, without a proper knife for serving, we were faced with overcooked, very salty, and difficult to cut meat. A real shame, especially since the prices were decidedly high compared to the actual quality of what we were served. I sincerely hope these observations are helpful: the location has potential, but the cuisine and service deserve more attention to live up to expectations.

04/08/2025: Una conferma assoluta. Posto molto molto bello, con un giardino eccezionale, reso ancor più suggestivo dall’ottimo gusto dei proprietari x l’arredamento. I prodotti usati sono sinonimo di qualità e di una scelta accurata delle materie prime nelle proposte del menù. Abbiam optato per la pizza stavolta che ci ha ampiamente soddisfatto. La cosa però che vorrei sottolineare è l’estrema cortesia di tutto lo staff e in particolare la gentilezza di altri tempi del proprietario che sia durante la cena che prima di andar via ci ha tenuto a salutarci di persona chiedendo se tutto fosse andato bene…. Torneremo sicuramente anche perché probabilmente è uno dei ristoranti più belli della città… e più attenti al cliente….grazie mille per la bella serata.

06/06/2025: Il Giardino ammalia per l'eleganza e la raffinatezza dei locali, ti seduce con un'accoglienza squisita e ti conquista definitivamente con una cucina ricercata e gustosissima. Da provare assolutamente!

28/09/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at Rottezzia and was truly impressed. It's one of those places where everything seems right: from the warm welcome from the staff, to the attention to detail in the ambiance, to, of course, the excellent quality of the dishes. The restaurant is refined but not overly so, with an intimate and relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at ease. The service was impeccable: attentive, kind, present at the right time, never intrusive. The cuisine, however, is what truly makes this restaurant special. Each dish tells a story, with top-quality ingredients and a combination of flavors that demonstrates passion and expertise. I particularly enjoyed the beef tartare (recommended by the charming waiter), but everything was truly amazing. I would return just for the hospitality and sweet kindness 💐♥️

20/09/2025: We stopped by for lunch and found this restaurant charming and welcoming. The service was courteous and quick, and the food was excellent. We ate carbonara and a creamy zucchini tart on a relaxing terrace with a lovely view. Prices were average, and I'd go back!

13/07/2025: If you're looking for a place nearby to eat excellent meat, Bistecchiera Ponziani is definitely a good choice. It's a shame about the rest: the dessert (millefoglie) wasn't up to par with the other dishes, and the atmosphere wasn't exactly the best. Friendly and courteous service.

16/09/2025: A truly comfortable hotel for a one-night stay. The staff is kind, friendly, and helpful! The room was clean and had everything you need for a peaceful stay. Breakfast was served at the hotel bar.

14/09/2025: Truck Parking area ok. Signs say €5/day with a voucher for restaurant. Nice staff, speak English, decent food. Showers dated. Handy for a couple of shops - 1 food & 1 that sells absolutely EVERYTHING ! Fridges OFF 23:00pm -06:00am.
