23/08/2025: Whenever I go to Viterbo (I live elsewhere), I drive all the way here, and this review would be over already. Excellent and original sandwiches with homemade bread (at least it seems to be the flavor and texture), with many vegetarian options (AMEN!!!). Delicious toasted, but even better when fresh. Superlative coffee. As I sat there one Saturday morning, The Cure's playlist came on, while the owners, relaxing, prepared more sandwiches at the counter. What can I say? Relaxing.

21/08/2025: This is a sandwich bar and food shop, not a proper restaurant. But they do serve tasty and original tramezzini, light on toppings but very varied and healthy. Some are toasted, others are not, appropriately depending on the ingredients. They are accompanied by various good-quality cured meats and cold cuts, assorted bruschetta, and delicious, moderately aged pecorino cheeses. To accompany the cheeses, they also offer some delicious homemade jams. The platters are generous and plentiful (AYCE, which I also served even though I was alone), including a glass of wine or a spritz. The owners are very kind and helpful; for three generous platters, a glass of wine, a liqueur, and an extra mineral water, I spent less than 20 euros. I don't know if they'll keep this promotion going, but for now, it's true. The place is very simple and unpretentious, yet welcoming and pleasant, and the owners are friendly. I highly recommend it.

07/10/2025: A trip to Tuscia, to this delightful and quiet village. The restaurant, though a bit cramped and sprawling, is very well-decorated and welcoming. Following the general recommendation, we opted for mushrooms, which, admittedly, were somewhat undercooked in the fettuccine, which negated their aroma and texture. The chickpea and chestnut soup, however, was good. For main course, a sliced ​​steak with arugula and mushrooms, which wasn't particularly successful, and a polenta with porcini mushrooms and sausage. Overall, we were a bit disappointed, primarily by the mushrooms featured, at least in the dishes we chose, almost like a dussel, a preparation more suited to mushrooms than to the king of porcini mushrooms. But we probably just ordered the wrong thing. Service was friendly, the bathroom impeccable. With a glass of Sangiovese, the bill came to about €80 for two.

12/09/2025: My experience at La Ballaccia di San Martino was beyond positive. A beautiful location in the main square, where I enjoyed an excellent pan-fried mushroom and potato dish, all washed down with an excellent bottle of wine. The staff were impeccable 👏

09/09/2025: We were in the area at the beginning of August and came here to try what we'd heard was the restaurant with the best carbonara in Tarquinia. The staff were extremely friendly, and the location in the center was very welcoming and clean. We obviously went straight for the carbonara; I've personally tried several, and this was one of the best! Fantastic cream, and pasta and guanciale cooked to perfection. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

22/09/2025: The seafood puzzle starter is quite an experience and the taste can be quite surprisingly interesting. It also contains a small portion of frying freshwater seafood so people should avoid ordering another main dish of frying freshwater seafood or else you'll regret it like I do. The fryed seafood comes without any sauce so it's a bit plain. This will make you feel hard to finish when eating too much deep fried fishes. The SPAGHETTONE WITH SEAFOOD CARBONARA contains only 2 small shrimps and small pieces of calamari. Furthermore, it does not taste like traditional carbonara with plenty of cheesy flavour and it's quite salty. It's a bit of disappointment because my wife said they use fresh seafood captured from the lake which gave me a bit of high expectation on all their seafood dishes. Nevertheless, the view of the lake is still great and their steak looks quite tempting. I'll probably recommend ordering steak instead of their fried seafood. Enjoy.

05/10/2025: Ein absolutes Highlight! Die Pizza ist unbeschreiblich gut - dünner Teig mit viel Belag und leckerer Käse. Das Tiramisu ist das beste, welches wir bisher gegessen haben.

05/10/2025: I'm a chef who has also worked in high-end restaurants. I give it 5* because: Quick and professional service. Even with the restaurant full, we didn't wait for any dish. This means the kitchen is organized. The dishes were well-cooked, with a delicate flavor. Even the lake fish was pleasantly flavorful. The tonnarelli were cooked to perfection. I noticed several timers (divided by color) near the kettle...another sign of professionalism. The bill was more than fair. It's a trattoria, so don't expect plating or various dressings. But that's the positive side.

14/09/2025: The three stars for the food are the result of a slip-up on the appetizer; the meat, however, was good. I couldn't rate the entrees because, per company policy, they decided not to serve them during the summer. The location is beautiful in the summer, on a terrace in Tarquinia overlooking the surrounding countryside all the way to the sea. I'll try again for a better assessment.
