02/07/2025: Empty outside bar. A small table with two gentlemen already served. July 1, 2025. 4:59 pm we sit down while a waiter leaves - 5:13 pm we get up without any of the staff coming to ask for the order. They probably noticed that someone had arrived when we got up to leave but by then it was too late.

22/06/2025: Came here on a Sunday around 17:30. According to the info on Google they are open until 18h, according to an info sheet on the door, they are open even until 19h. The garden is empty but for one table having drinks. We politely ask (in Italian) for a table and are told "no" because they are closing. We ask if they could make an exception, we have a baby with us and need a bit of rest - still "no". One minute after us, four Italians arrive and ask for a table - they receive a table and are served drinks. In front of us. If your aim is to annoy people, you are doing it right.

24/05/2025: For me the best artisanal ice cream of all 3 Lignano. Unmistakable flavors, excellent, very good and some even original. Well done to the very kind guy who runs it.

06/06/2025: I stopped here for lunch, which should have a fixed-price menu to help workers. I decided to save some money by asking to bring only the second course with side dish. When it came to the bill, they asked me for €14 and when I asked for an explanation, they told me that by taking just one course it was made more abundant so the cost was the same as the full menu. Basically, I paid €14 for 4 slices of grilled pork loin filled with salt, half a spoonful of polenta, a portion of mixed salad, water and coffee. Practically a steal, I definitely won't be back.

13/02/2025: If you get a first course and a side dish, you spend as much as getting the full menu, never found anywhere else.

05/06/2025: We went to this restaurant on the advice of some friends; we had a very good appetizer of clams and mussels, amazing spaghetti with clams and abundant fried food. The location is very beautiful and the staff very kind and prepared. We definitely recommend it.

01/06/2025: *Ristorante Corallo, Lignano Sabbiadoro: the worst* My experience at Ristorante Corallo in Lignano Sabbiadoro was a real catastrophe! My family and I ordered a "4 stagioni" pizza and we got a "Fai da te" pizza! When I pointed out the mistake to the waiter, he responded with a sarcastic and rude tone, saying "Yes, that's how it is here". But the worst came when we ordered the house wine, which was served mixed with water! It seemed like it had been left open for 3 days, it was like a spray! What a shame! The service was terrible, the staff seemed to be composed of rude people with no desire to help customers. The response to our complaints was just a series of frowns and dirty looks. *Rating:* -5/5 stars *Advice:* Absolutely avoid eating at this restaurant! The rudeness of the staff, the lack of professionalism and the quality of the food and drinks are unacceptable. I strongly advise against this place to anyone! Go somewhere else!

18/05/2025: Una bella azienda agricola a Pavia di Udine dove si mangia prodotti tipici friulani quasi tutti fatti da loro (visto che hanno anche le stalle) . Fanno anche gelati di propria produzione da provare assolutamente visto che il latte lo fanno loro! Parcheggio ampissimo ma a volte si fa fatica a trovare posto perché è sempre tutto pieno. Prezzi in linea con altri posti simili… consigliato!

19/04/2025: Pranzo pre pasquale direi ottimo! Trovato per caso, ci siamo fermati e abbiamo mangiato da Dio, accolti dal proprietario in maniera eccellente, una persona davvero squisita e cordiale. Il pranzo è stato ottimo, sebbene il locale fosse pieno, ci siamo accomodati dopo qualche minuto di attesa. Prezzi molto buoni, materie prime eccellenti. Non si trova quasi più in giro un posto così composto da gestori così genuini. Ovviamente ritorneremo anche se distante da casa, vale proprio la pena! Carne squisita, birra top! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

29/04/2025: Desiderosi di assaggiare il prosciutto di San Daniele, siamo stati attratti dal menu con proposte diversificate. Il prosciutto ci è sembrato buono, ma più salato di come ci saremmo aspettati. Inoltre avevamo ordinato, come assaggio, un piatto di tagliolini alla trota affumicata (prezzo sugli 11 €) da dividerci in due: la cameriera ha ribattuto "quindi due mezze porzioni", senza specificare altro. Al momento del conto la sgradevole sorpresa: le due mezze porzioni ci sono state fatte pagare 8,00 € l'una, quindi applicando un aumento del 50% sul prezzo dichiarato! Abbiamo fatto presente il nostro disappunto e la giustificazione è stata che si tratta della loro "politica aziendale"... Trovo la cosa molto scorretta, ancor più dopo aver riscontrato che lo stesso inconveniente era già stato riportato in altre recensioni: quindi, poco trasparenti e pure recidivi!

26/04/2025: Ancora seduta al tavolo scrivo, e non per la prima volta (segno che ci ritorno spesso), una recensione di questo locale che resta una garanzia a San Daniele se si vuole gustare il prosciutto e non solo (magnifici i tagliolini con verdure di stagione). Cameriere molto accoglienti, attente e sorridenti. L'ideale per un pasto rapido ma non per pasti in cui si vuole allegramente temporeggiare. Perché allora solo tre pallini nella valutazione? Dolci con prezzo troppo elevato se rapportato a ristorazione di alto livello e pulizia non più quella di un tempo. Seduta non perfettamente pulita (perché liberando il tavolo dallo sporco è ovvio ricada sulla sedia se non si procede a sua volta a pulirla), una chiazza appiccicosa sul tavolo sulla quale ho incollato utilmente lo scontrino della comanda per non perderlo e pulizia perfettibile dei bicchieri; non è facile con tanto movimento di persone ma è fondamentale: insopportabile bere in bicchieri al calice non perfettamente puliti. A parte questi aspetti, facilmente risolvibili con un po' di impegno, continuo a consigliarlo.

12/06/2025: Yes, we have been to restaurant pizzeria Papillo many times during our holidays in Carinthia and the Friuli, because they serve a terrific pizza from the wood fired oven for a reasonable price. Indoor and outdoor seating and ample free parking in front of the building. Even the management change after the corona scare didn't make a dent in the reputation. However, disappointment is sometimes just round the corner. On the door of the restaurant is a clear sign, that the restaurant is closed on Monday and the other six days of the week open from 11.00 am till 8.00 pm. But we found a closed door at lunch time twice in one week, without an explanatory note on the door. Very customer unfriendly. However, in the Friuli you never go hungry. Lunch somewhere else was easy.

03/07/2025: I stayed at the Ai Gelsi hotel for one night. The structure is not too pretentious, but the rooms are clean and overall tidy. The shower and hairdryer were quite dated and not very functional. The staff at the reception were very kind, polite and professional, a good point in their favour. The hotel restaurant offers good food, but unfortunately the service was disappointing: the waiters were slow and distracted, I had to wait a long time both to sit down and to order.

21/06/2025: One of the best pizzas I've ever had the opportunity to try. Fast service and friendly staff. Despite the slight language barrier, I managed to order without any problems.

17/06/2025: I order pizza from them at least once a week. I tell you as a Campanian: the pizza is truly Neapolitan and good. The MAXI pizzas are the best especially if you have to organize a quick evening with friends. Reasonable prices. Possibility of paying with POS when you order take-out. Recommended.

04/06/2025: Per quanto mi riguarda io ho mangiato il 30 maggio Siamo stati bene, ho preso un ottima grigliata di verdure e spaghetti alle vongole molto molto buoni. nel complesso mi sono trovata benissimo sono stati anche veloci a servire.

03/06/2025: "Tutto fumo e niente arrosto" è proprio il caso di dire. Qualità della pizza da migliorare decisamente. Location nella norma. 3,00 euro di coperto mi sembra eccessivo.
