20/08/2025: The bakery is conveniently located and has parking across the street. The bread is excellent, as are the brioches, pizzas, and focaccias. The opening hours are noteworthy, allowing for a stop even very early.

Excellent desserts, along with bread in various shapes and types.
Truly very good.

26/03/2026: So I ordered a pizza over the phone, first of all I got a very, very rude response. I asked for information about the ingredients and the lady responded as if she were annoyed and in a very unpleasant way. I went to collect the pizza and asked if it was possible to cut it, but the response was also curt. The pizza was already cold, too much mozzarella in my opinion, which I was very disappointed with because I wasn't expecting it.

20/04/2026: A special place with charm and character, the likes of which you don't often find, with very good food at reasonable prices, genuinely friendly staff without any fake friendliness, and an incredible wine cellar. Perhaps not to everyone's taste, but if you value substance over presentation, this is the place for you. I'll definitely be back!

18/01/2026: We chose this osteria expecting traditional cuisine, but we were disappointed. We ordered tagliatelle with ragù, which tasted more like broth, and the cjalsons were overcooked and not particularly tasty.

03/11/2025: I stopped by this restaurant, which also has a bar, around 2 PM with my partner, to grab a bite to eat. I saw the window was empty and sad, so I asked if it was possible to have a toasted sandwich or even a simple sandwich. The lady behind the counter rudely told me no, she could make a sandwich, but emphasized "small." I asked if she had cooked ham because I'm pregnant, and looking up, she said only prosciutto and ossocollo (which I can't eat). I told her that unfortunately I couldn't eat both and if we could get something from the restaurant. She told us she'd have to see if there was anything left, but she didn't know.
At that point, we left without a chance to eat.
It seemed like we were bothering her when we just wanted to have lunch and bring in some "money" like normal customers; she obviously prefers not to work!
Terrible behavior, I totally advise against it!

Absolutely unacceptable.

20/01/2026: After browsing the various menus in the area online, we opted for this place.
They seated us in a room with the lights still off at 7:30 PM (which was surprising, considering the kitchen was supposed to close at 10:00 PM).
We were served the menus, and when we asked for clarification, we realized they weren't the ones published on the website (we had chosen the place specifically for what the menu offered).
We were told the menu was updated seasonally (on the website, it was dated 10 months earlier).
Okay, let's order.
I ordered tagliatelle with wild boar sauce, but when they were served, I already knew they'd only seen wild boar in photos; it was sweet and pale, almost certainly beef.
I asked the waitress if she was sure it was wild boar, so she went to the chef to ask. He came back and told me it was wild boar, and that it was sweet because of the tomato.
By then, I'd eaten, and I told her that despite her excuse, I was certain it was beef.
We went to the counter to pay, and the chef (I assume also the owner of the place) showed up and showed me the traceability certificate. I told him that the paper peeled off the original packaging could have come from anywhere, and that I knew wild boar.
Ultimately, I absolutely do not recommend the place.
P.S. Only later did we learn that there had been a change of ownership, so here's the menu on the website—not just a seasonal update.
02/01/2026: We went in to ask for a table and were told to wait five minutes for them to set it up, but after 20-25 minutes we still hadn't been served. It would have been better to immediately say there was no availability (or be honest about the wait time) and there would have been no problem.

30/05/2026: We discovered it by chance in March.
Even though it wasn't very crowded, we ate very well... which is not a given in restaurants during the low season.
A beautiful place just steps from the sea. Impeccable service and dishes prepared with attention to every detail.
A well-trained staff... courteous and very kind... everyone smiling and ready to satisfy every request.
Definitely worth returning.

25/03/2026: Superlative pizza, the best takeout pizza in Udine. Delicious, easy to digest, and never too thirsty. A wide selection of flavors and fast service. Plus, with every €15 order, they'll give you a free drink of your choice.

05/04/2026: Um, if I order a vegetarian sandwich, paying a supplement of €1.50 doesn't seem right to me. How can a vegetarian sandwich cost more than a San Daniele? It's the usual story of stealing from customers, but sometimes it always makes a difference.

10/11/2025: Cold food, cold staff and cold place.
They say ignorance is bliss and this saying really comes to life when you visit this place and read about other peoples experience here and staff responses.
At some point we started wondering if they are making fun out of us or not. When you arrive to any empty restaurant with only one table stetted in the first hour of opening you sure don't expect half of menu to be gone and service like we had.
10/11/2025: The worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant.
We placed a very simple order for 4 people and immediately had to repeat it 2 or 3 times to our waiter because he kept writing it down wrong.
A few minutes later our waiter returns saying that 1 of the 2 dishes we ordered isn't available and asked us what we'd like instead.
We change the order and again, we had to repeat that twice because at one point our waiter even wanted to change all 4 of our orders into the same dish which we never asked for.
At that point we were thinking of cancelling our orders and leaving. Not only was the ordering process horrible, we haven't even received our drinks yet, the cutlery was dirty and we were also very cold and had to wear our jackets to try and warm up. But since we had a hungry toddler with us, we decided to stay.
Our food arrives and it was our initial order (apparently they figured out they actually have that dish available), but still they managed to make a mistake.
On top of that, the portions were quite small and our food was cold. Both the gnocchi and the pasta were cold with only the sauce heated up and poured over.
Not once did anyone apologize to us for all the confusion, our waiter even seemed annoyed at us even though he was the one who kept making mistakes.
Safe to say, we will not be returning here again.

Since the owner of the restaurant always finds some reason to blame the client for any bad experience they had in the restaurant (you can see that with any other bad review anyone has posted by reading their replies), let me reply to them here.
The language was not the problem. Even though we are not Italians, we all spoke in Italian when ordering and even though our Italian isn't perfect, it is absolutely good enough to order 2 dishes, a salad and some drinks.
I have traveled a lot around the world, also to places where I barely spoke the language or at least worse than I speak Italian, and never had problems like these.
We came to the restaurant soon after the restaurant opens, and even though we didn't have a reservation, the restaurant was still pretty empty at the time. If you didn't want us to come or if you don't accept people without reservation, say that right away and not use that as some unreasonable excuse as if to why your service is bad.
The comments that you don't even want to reply to - I'm guessing it's because it's true? Looking at other people's reviews I saw at least 2 others who also had dirty cutlery or glasses. Someone else also complained about the cold in the room and others also noted that their food was cold and evidently pre-cooked. It is not like I am making up things that aren't true.
And finally, I have also worked in a restaurant. One that was significantly larger and probably had 50 more dishes on the menu. And never did I or anyone else working in the restaurant acted like this towards a client.
If we made a mistake, we apologized to the client and oftentimes compensated them in some way by maybe giving them a discount on their total bill or give them something for free on top.
And we absolutely didn't argue online with clients who had a bad experience, coming up with excuses for why there was actually nothing wrong and making it seem as though the client is exaggerating or lying.
Your comment about how you are a small and unpretentious restaurant apparently means people should be satisfied with a bad service and food that wasn't good?
It is not like we came there and expected Michelin star restaurant experience. We just expected that when placing a simple order, we wouldn't be wondering whether or not the waiter is making fun of us or if we are being discriminated against, just because we aren't Italians.
