Good Italian bar. Nice cafe, delicious cakes.

You eat typical food, you spend the right amount, it's an easy-going place without pretensions to elegance but they are friendly. It was a pleasure to go there, it will be a pleasure to return!

We walked 7.4 km along the Napoleonic path above Trieste. A wonderful view of the Gulf of Trieste, the path is flat and carved into climbing walls. We started from the Obelisk in Opicine to Bar Giovani and did not continue to Mira Mar Castle. In the bar, we drank excellent cappuccino and typical snacks with cod and prosciutto, which were richly coated. We were not impressed with the dessert. Outside, the terrace is pleasant, otherwise it is next to the road, the atmosphere inside is more village-like. Fast service and reasonable prices. Since there is a larger parking lot on the side of the village of Proseco, it is better to start the walking route from this side.

Pure Friday for the bar that takes you back to some other golden times. You can find it in Prosecco, right next to the road, on a walk along the Napoleonic Way above Trieste. The coffee is great, the staff is more than friendly and extremely smiling.

Ganz aus Zufall angehalten und war überrascht wie nette Besitzer von Bar war. Für mich war eigentlich Gaststätte, aber echt alles locker, nett, freundlich. Als fragte ich was ist diese Schinken hat mir Besitzer sofort nicht nur Stückchen, sondern ein richtige Stück gekochte Schinken frei gegeben. Und hat mir sehr geschmeckt, dass bedeutet für mich auch für uns beide diese Spezialitäten zu kaufen. Und da Kamm noch ein Slowene am neben Tisch und hat mir erklärt daß er und seine Freunde aus benachbarte slowenischen Ortschaften oft in dieser Bar gerne kommen, es ist nicht mehr als 10 km. Und Umgebung ist herrlich, nur 200 Meter ist schon fantastische Blick zu Trieste und Bucht von Trieste. Dann ist noch nicht weit Hl. Kirche, auch eine besondere Ausflugsort. Ich, wie kommen bestimmt wieder ins Bar Giovanni.

Un semplicissimo bar stile anni 80 il cui punto forte è appunto lo stile. Io e mia moglie abbiamo sostato qui domenica durante la passeggiata della via vicentina e mangiato un tagliere di affettati e bevuto una birra fresca seduti ai tavoli fuori baciati dal sole. Cosa si vuole di più. Il signore che ci ha servito è stato molto gentile e cordiale. Finalmente un posto in cui l'affettato viene servito con una quantità di pane corretta e proporzionata. Bravi. Lo consiglio.
