15/08/2025: While on vacation in Zocca, we dined at this restaurant. We were very well received and the meal was very good. There were several of us who had the opportunity to taste different and delicious starters and main courses. The service was perfect. A little extra for us French people: the cook speaks and understands our language quite well, which, given our level of Italian, was very nice. In short, we highly recommend it.

10/08/2025: We went for lunch on a Sunday in August. The restaurant's location was beautiful, overlooking the valley. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered an appetizer of anchovies with buratta cheese, excellent! Then we had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, which were amazing and very generous portions! A taste, but for those who wanted to try it, we had gnocco fritto with prosciutto, delicious and well-cooked, not greasy! And to finish, a dessert, all delicious, my Nutella cheesecake was fabulous! All washed down with an excellent Sangiovese Romagnolo... What can I say? I highly recommend it! A+++++

16/05/2025: Awful service and very rude manager! It was almost midnight, and the place was less than half full. The wannabe manager, who seemed more interested in asserting authority than helping customers, reacted very rudely when we sat at a table for four, as there were only two of us. Later, he gave that same table to two women who arrived afterward.

14/08/2025: Excellent Angus steak cooked to order, with a classic side of roast potatoes and grilled and steamed vegetables. Prompt and welcoming service, with just the right amount of discretion. Very comfortable atmosphere. Ultimately, flawless.

08/08/2025: Instead of the motorway service station, stop here by taking the Modena Sud/Nord exit. It's a 10-15 minute drive, but it's worth it.

23/07/2025: I was quite perplexed by the lack of a wine list. Instead of being able to consult a clear and comprehensive list at the table, I was escorted to the restaurant's cellar to choose my wine directly from there. Although the idea may seem appealing at first glance, the experience proved to be impractical: the bottles were not organized according to clear criteria, and there was no precise indication of prices. This makes the choice not only complicated but also rather inconvenient, especially for those who want to calmly and transparently evaluate the options. I believe that a wine list, even a basic one, is essential to offering the customer a more informed and peaceful experience. I hope the restaurant can take this aspect into consideration to improve the overall experience.

13/07/2025: Bellissimo Casale, antica struttura suggestiva a conduzione familiare. Tagliere con gnocco fritto veramente buono ( 15€) tagliatelle al ragù ottime (15€). Peccato niente dolce 🤷‍♀️ non sono passati, e l' unico indaffaratissimo cameriere gestiva tutto lui . Sara ' per la prossima volta. Grazie tutto buonissimo. Ah.. tenetela la birra 🍺 ci sono persone che non bevono vino !! Anche leggera e commerciale ma è una chicca che può rallegrare. Complimenti tutto pulito e ordinato.

13/02/2025: They may have a nice shop window but the staff is really rude and unwelcoming, very rude, even towards children. The golden times of Sassuolo are over, it would be better for you to have breakfast with bread and humility in the morning.

17/08/2025: We wanted to visit the Castello di Montegibbio, but discovered that it was closed at the time of our visit due to Ferragosto. This was a bit disappointing, as we were looking forward to seeing the interior and taking guided tours. 📍 Location & Surroundings ✅ The castle is idyllically situated on a hill, surrounded by green forests and vineyards, with beautiful views of the surrounding area. ✅ Easily accessible by car, although the last few kilometers are a narrow country road. ✅ Parking is available, but sometimes limited when visitors are busy. 🏰 Buildings & Architecture ✅ From the outside, the castle appears impressively well-preserved, with historic walls and towers. ⚠️ Unfortunately, we couldn't visit anything inside because the castle was closed. ✅ The view and the outdoor area of the castle are still perfect for taking photos and strolling. 👥 Service & Information ✅ The staff on site were friendly and were able to provide information about opening hours. ⚠️ No access to tours or interior areas at the time of our visit. 🍽 Dining & Offers ⚠️ Due to the closure, no dining options were available. Conclusion: The Castello di Montegibbio is impressive both scenically and architecturally. However, our visit unfortunately fell on Ferragosto, so we were unable to experience the interior areas. Therefore, only 4 stars, otherwise it would have been a full score.
