08/03/2026: When we went it was probably not the best time, but I don't think we'll be back.

25/02/2026: The first time everything went well, but the second time, a week later, we received decidedly different treatment. Bulk wine in carafes is available ONLY Monday through Friday, and only in bottles on Saturday and Sunday, despite the establishment also being a bar! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ The owner didn't do anything to resolve the issue, so there was zero customer service. Prices were too high for the food offered. End of experience, as far as we're concerned; two visits were enough to make us decide not to return.

07/03/2026: Very good food, with unique and typical local dishes. The menu was limited (about thirty dishes). Some dishes were broken on the sides, but the service was very good. The waiters were polite and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, a little empty, but in a restaurant, it's the food that counts, not the location. The prices were reasonable and not excessive for the quantity and quality of the dishes. Also recommended for large groups.

10/02/2026: I was welcomed warmly and tasted typical local dishes that were well made and very tasty. If I ever have the chance to pass through the area again, I definitely know where I can stop to eat.

22/02/2026: We found it by chance during a motorcycle ride; they found us two seats even though it was fully booked. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, friendly, and quick with service. The atmosphere is welcoming, warm, well-decorated, and not too noisy. The dishes are beautifully presented, and the quality of the meat is excellent. We ordered two slices of salt-baked beef fillet, and it was a wonderful discovery. The meat was exquisite, flavorful, and beautifully presented in a pan. The desserts were also excellent. Worth remembering as one of my favorite restaurants.

19/02/2026: A historic trattoria in Monghidoro. I recently went there for the first time with a friend for dinner. Very centrally located, small and welcoming, with a rustic, spartan atmosphere. The owner seems gruff at first glance, but he's kind and welcoming, and the wait staff is friendly and helpful. The fillet steak with mustard and brandy was excellent. Generous portions, everything was delicious. I expected the prices to be a little lower, but now they're in line with Bologna trattorias. Definitely worth a try, highly recommended!

14/03/2026: The first courses, which they boast about as their specialty on their website, are terrible. Pasta is raw and served cold. Appetizers are poor and bland. Little attention is paid to everything, including the service. The atmosphere is uninspiring, and the bill is steep. The only positives are the well-made friggione and crescentine.

If, however, you want real, quality meat, cooked with care and served expertly, then La Cascina del Gaucho is an absolutely perfect choice. Precisely prepared dishes, top-quality ingredients, and expertly cooked: the difference is truly noticeable. Special praise goes to Natascia, the owner, for her professional, attentive, and passionate hospitality, making guests feel truly cared for. It's amusing to read some of the reviews about the prices: when you break away from the Romagna fixed-price menu (tagliatelle and "standard" grilled meat), it's normal for the quality—and therefore the bill—to be different. For those looking to save money, the area offers endless options. But here, people come to eat well. And it shows. And it tastes good. I'll definitely be back.

15/04/2026: My boyfriend had recommended this place to me a year ago, so we went as a family. A beautiful and warm experience, definitely worth repeating! The room was spacious, even with a bunk bed for the kids, plenty of closet space to store your clothes, and a small but truly lovely bathroom with all the amenities. But let's get to the highlight: the spa! You have to book it! Trust me, it's totally worth it! There's a room exclusively for a hot tub and a sauna. We guarantee you'll come back feeling fresh and rejuvenated, and the kids will have a blast! The restaurant is truly lovely, and the waiters are always attentive to your needs, allergies, or intolerances. The dinner and lunch menus are so generous that you'll go home with a full belly. Everything is homemade, not to mention their traditional desserts, which you'll love! Thank you so much for everything! 🤩

A great experience for two: we walked in, the menu arrived in 5 minutes, we ordered 5 minutes, and the dishes arrived in 10 minutes (we ordered a second course of the first course, which was truly generous). The price was fair for the portions. Two pieces of advice: book in advance and try to avoid out-of-season items whenever possible. The porcini mushrooms were 7/10, but it's entirely my fault for ordering them in February; I didn't use common sense. Overall, the tagliatelle were truly excellent! Thanks.

The dishes we chose were very good, carefully prepared, and with just the right portions: perfectly balanced in quality and quantity. Careful attention was evident both in the selection of ingredients and in the presentation. Special praise goes to the waitress, who recommended a truly excellent wine, perfectly paired with our order. The place has a distinguished clientele and a very pleasant atmosphere: a well-kept location, with just the right balance of lighting and music, allowing you to enjoy the evening without crowds. The wide variety of both dishes and wines is sure to please a wide range of tastes. We'll definitely be back!
