The chef and owner are beyond friendly... a simple place that brings back memories of authentic family cooking... where the flavors were authentic and unforgettable. My heartfelt compliments to Luca (one of the owners), who kept us company and added an extra touch to an already unique and delicious lunch!

07/04/2026: Tasty food, very healthy portions, especially the pasta. Prices are fair. A lot of parking spaces.
The owner is talkative, helps out with any questions, if you have somebody speaking italian, that is.
All in all a good experience, a simple, yet a good choice!

18/09/2025: Truly excellent, welcoming atmosphere. I tried various dishes, all delicious. The presentation was excellent, with sauces that enhanced the flavor without overpowering it.

16/11/2025: Poor service. Music only recommended for those over 60/70. The location is small and unwelcoming. I even found a dirty glass, and when I asked for a replacement, no one came. I strongly advise against it.
02/11/2025: I haven't had the pleasure of trying this place, but I can say that the impression I got simply by calling to make a reservation was truly negative.
How can you respond to a customer calling to make a reservation: "Fondo Lazzaro, tell me?"... I was perplexed and asked him to repeat the question to make sure I hadn't made a mistake, and he repeated: "Fondo Lazzaro, tell me."
It's a real shame if this place offers so much. I hope it's not the owner who responds like that, but an employee, and that this review of mine can be helpful.
I'd love to be able to eat the things a dear friend of mine told me about.

Special praise goes to the waiter Alessandro who served us—extremely kind, attentive and professional. Highly recommended! The food and drinks arrived quickly, which added to the overall positive impression.
The tiramisu is perfectly balanced in flavor and prepared flawlessly. The texture and aromas are in complete harmony, with every note executed just right. The Aperol Spritz was excellent as well—refreshing and well-made—while the espresso was smooth and aromatic, a perfect way to finish.
11/04/2026: Real Italian feeling not far from the sea, from the port. Pizza is faboulus, coffee is amazing, staff very friendly. Next time in Triest for sure will return. Also they are really helpful.
