06/06/2024: We got there on the recommendation of a local. We had a table "close" to the chef. The open kitchen, all you had to do was extend your arm and we were served. The starters were good, some even special. For example o however and o muss fuite. The house wine is sufficient. The first courses were very good, cooked on sight, and plentiful. We skipped the main courses and chose desserts which were very good. Had the "gig" hard to find. Bitters and coffee. We paid €7,175. We will be back. Excellent impression.

We only spent 2 days at the Rumi Hotel but we were happily captivated by the tranquility, cleanliness and kindness of the staff who were always attentive and competent, providing good advice to our satisfaction. Simple and elegantly served breakfast: fruit, savory and delicious pancakes. The room was a little small but well cared for in every detail, with a delightful little terrace which, although it overlooked the car park, was quiet and cool for a good read in peace. Spotless swimming pool...an oasis of peace! A great stay! More than advisable solution
18/07/2024: We ended up in this hotel by chance, letting ourselves be carried away by our desires, and the desire was an intimate hotel to have a good time. We were not disappointed. The room, although slightly small, was very functional with its terrace and impeccably clean. We also had lunch by the pool which was perfect. The service at the reception was a little reserved, but the staff in charge of housekeeping and cleaning were very friendly and dynamic. A more than excellent quality-price ratio.

27/07/2024: We went to this restaurant about ten days ago and in addition to enjoying a nice visit, we asked for information on organizing a family event. We liked the place and we also had a good impression of the owner, who welcomed us with great friendliness and courtesy.
Unfortunately, in the end we chose another location for our event, but I want to leave this review because Villa Orchidea really deserves a special mention for its welcoming atmosphere.

03/07/2024: Cena da 10 e lode. Locale con un vista spettacolare sulla costiera, personale gentile e professionale.
Il percorso sapori d’amare ci ha lasciato senza parole. Tutto veramente ottimo.

08/08/2024: Siamo stati a Palinuro per due giorni visitando le bellissime spiaggie, ma la sorpresa più grande è stata provare la pizza della Pizzeria degli Amici una delle pizzerie più antiche di Palinuro, locale semplice ed accogliente gestito sapientemente da Pina e Loredana, buona la pizza con l'aggiunta di ottime materie prime, servizio impeccabile. Torneremo di sicuro.
07/08/2024: Siamo stati qualche sera fa in questa pizzeria, abbiamo preso una frittura di patatine, 3 pizze, una siciliana, una regina, una margherita, ed un tiramisù fatto casa da loro stessi. Tutto buonissimo, consigliato. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

26/07/2024: The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and in fact I'm sorry not to give a total of 5 stars because the environment could have been improved. We suffered a lot from the heat, the air conditioner was decidedly underpowered compared to the environment.
Excellent food though and very friendly staff.
I hope you welcome these comments as constructive criticism to improve the experience at your establishment. You are very good!

15/08/2024: We arrived after the opening time, but the gate was still closed. When we finally got in, we were greeted very unfriendly. They didn't take the time for us, and came by three times asking if we were finally ready to order. A few minutes after the appetizer, the main course arrived while we hadn't even finished the appetizer. The pesto pasta was incredibly dry, tough, and tasteless even though it was very oily. The pizza with anchovies was okay. The view with the sunset was amazing, but it’s definitely not worth going there for the food and service. All in all, we do not recommend!
12/08/2024: The gate was closed even though the opening time was 20 minutes earlier. The exorbitant prices, the same as Positano and Sorrento, I might as well stay there. Generous portion but nothing special, very neglected location. I don't recommend it!

04/05/2024: The food was exceptional - simple dishes with a ton of depth to the flavors - and what really impressed me was the fact that I had been here 2 years ago for dinner and the dishes were all so consistent. Very nice Family owned business!
I went back several times for a quick bite of the pizzas, calzones etc. that is made fresh in house everyday! NEVER DISAPPOINTED!!! Can’t wait to go back

20/08/2024: My daughter and I booked a cooking class at La Gavitella on our family vacation. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience truly special. Our Chef Giuseppe was knowledgeable, patient and fun. His assistants, Vanessa and Julia were attentive to details and made sure that out experience was well preserved in pictures that they shared with us. We learned cooking skills, but also we had an unforgettable experience. Needless to say that the restaurant has fabulous food and drink menu. We highly recommend La Gavitella as a marvelous restaurant and the best cooking class. Also, if you want to experience true Italian hospitality and friendliness, visit this restaurant. The vibe is great.

It was the best day!! From the pick up in the boat, to the staff and the cooking class, to the sun beds in the afternoon, it was better than we expected. The staff were amazing, so welcoming and made the day memorable. We loved the cooking and the chef was great and helpful. Flowing champagne for the morning.
Then we spent 4 hours on sun beds and swimming in the ideal location. 10/10 experience, would highly recommend!!
