02/07/2025: Siamo stati alla Latteria dietro consiglio e…gran consiglio!! Abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Taglieri, spaghetti san giovannino, guanciale di vitello, tagliata, formaggio alla piastra. Tutto buonissimo. Se andate a Matera alla Latteria non sbagliate.

12/07/2025: Probably since 1005 BC, the local grocery store has been visited by people from the Czech lands. 😁😁 This significant event is enhanced by the fact that we arrived on a Czech horse - a Škoda KAMIQ. We thank you for the kind service at the checkout and we promise to cook the purchased pasta at home and eat it with pleasure.

18/08/2025: We were greeted by very helpful and friendly people. We hadn't booked, but since we arrived early, we managed to find a table for three. However, within a few minutes, there were no more seats, so we recommend booking beforehand. Everything was very good, especially the meatballs, both the bugiarde and the beef ones. Correct, highly recommended.

18/08/2025: Very disappointing, far from the description in the Routard Guide. Aside from the fact that the staff spoke French, the welcome was particularly cold. We were rushed to order quickly under the pretext that "otherwise, it would be tense," and when we asked for advice because the menu was in Italian, we were curtly told that they didn't have time. We absolutely do not recommend this place.

From the first moment, we were greeted with professionalism and warmth by Anna Selvaggi, a hostess who pays attention to every detail and conveys passion and dedication. Chef Rocco delighted us with dishes that combine tradition and creativity: each course was a true masterpiece in taste, quality, and presentation. Congratulations on your impeccable cuisine! Special thanks also go to maître d' Valter, who oversaw every moment of the evening with elegance, discretion, and professionalism, ensuring that all guests felt pampered and cared for. The room is refined, welcoming, and meticulously designed, perfect for transforming any event into an unforgettable memory. Making the evening even more magical was the fireworks display: long, thrilling, and evocative, they left everyone breathless and capped the celebration with a touch of pure magic. I highly recommend the Ermica Reception Hall to anyone looking for a venue that combines good taste, elegance, and professionalism. We'll definitely be back!

30/07/2025: Found out by word of mouth: the food is AMAZING!!! EVERYTHING is AMAZING, from the fish to the kindness and efficiency of the staff. Very fair prices. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for fresh fish to eat by the sea.

06/08/2025: If you want a croissant, you have to go to Carlucci's. They offer pistachio, Nutella, cream, cream and black cherry, and more. They also offer delicious gelato, and you should definitely try their pastries. For mid-morning, try the croissant with cream...top

04/08/2025: Coming from Bologna to celebrate my son's birthday in Matera, my hometown, we ordered a cake at the last minute, and they went out of their way to accommodate us. The result: a delicious cake, truly excellent quality, expertly crafted, and not at all cloying. Simple and beautiful to look at, at a fair price. Thank you 🙂

01/09/2025: I've been there several times, the place is nice and the service is good, I found myself a little disoriented because they changed the menus I was used to a bit, they were convenient because there was one in particular that allowed you to try all their specialties without taking the whole plate now you also have the option of trying some appetizers obviously the price has changed considerably while the quality of the food however has remained the same.

01/09/2025: Everything was excellent, the owner and staff were attentive, very fast and the food was excellent, local goodness, delicious broad beans and chicory, ancient flavours that are not forgotten.

26/07/2025: A great find. A butcher/grill offering a wide variety of Podolica Lucana cuts, including some unusual ones. Excellent value. We had various meats, appetizers, and the excellent house Aglianico for the modest price of €45 (there were two of us). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We'll definitely be back for more meats that are hard to find elsewhere.

20/07/2025: It was an excellent lunch; we ate on the terrace, which has a beautiful view. The dishes were good, especially the peppered mussels and the first course (strascinati with sausage, Matera bread, and crusco peppers on a caciocavallo cream that was out of this world). The ingredients seemed high-quality. My only complaint: the service was a bit slow. Good value (also considering the very central location).

13/07/2025: I returned to Kappador after some time away, and I can say that the experience was even better than I remembered. We dined on the terrace with a view, in a truly enchanting atmosphere. Everything was impeccable: attentive service, carefully prepared and flavorful dishes, quality ingredients, and a presentation that demonstrates care and passion. I found a place that had grown, improved in every detail, without losing its distinctive authenticity. An evening with friends that turned into an experience to remember. Congratulations!

07/09/2025: I should preface this by saying that I speak as a professional in the industry. As for the food, it was all excellent and the flavors well-balanced. The flaw that ultimately ruined everything was the slow and inaccurate service. 1 I booked and didn't find a table ready, so a makeshift table was prepared on the spot. 2 Our order came 30 minutes after we sat down, and no one came over to ask if we wanted a bottle of water. 3 After our order was taken, the appetizers arrived almost immediately (and it's understandable that they're already prepared, of course, since they require preparation), but the problem was that they arrived before the drinks and bread (the bread never arrived even though the waiter told me he'd get it). 4 The food was excellent, as mentioned above. 5 We ordered a dessert, two coffees, a grappa, and a liqueur, clearly asking if they could bring everything together. However, the dessert arrived first, followed by just one coffee, and then the liqueur and grappa. Having said that, I recommend going to those who want to eat well because the cuisine is truly excellent with contrasting flavors and exceptional tradition, but don't even consider the service because otherwise you'll want to get up and leave.
