03/10/2024: I’ve ate at many Michelin star restaurants in various countries. The deserve a star for sure. Very creative presentations, the food was amazing, and the service was exactly how we liked. I highly recommend…as for the bad reviews, I would take them with a grain of salt, as many people have tampered expectations and attitudes.

18/05/2025: Restaurant with a wonderful view despite it being Sunday they were immediately ready to welcome us by giving us a place on the terrace polite staff friendly and fast excellent food full of traditions every time I go to the sassi of Matera it will be my fixed stop I recommend it compliments.

14/04/2025: Bellissima masseria fortificata , la più antica della Lucania . Stanza Junior Suite ampia, con un bagno comodissimo e dotato di un simpatico sistema di luci soffuse e cangianti . Tutto da 10 e lode: location, colazione dalla qualità e quantità straordinarie. Ma sopra ogni cosa la gentilezza e l'accoglienza della Proprietà . Il titolare ci è venuto incontro nel parcheggio , accogliendoci nel vero senso della parola . Il soggiorno presso la Masseria Torre Spagnola non è solo un soggiorno, è un'esperienza.... Pochi km da Matera città, vicino al bellissimo Belvedere Murgia Timone (andateci poco prima del tramonto, in modo da trovarvi lì al calare della sera per vedere lo spettacolo di Matera come fosse un presepe illuminato ...) . Ottimo anche il rapporto prezzo-qualità . Consigliatissimo

21/03/2025: The place is located on the outskirts of Montescaglioso but in essence, in terms of quality of the food and quality/price ratio, it is certainly central. The internal room is large and comfortable, but lacks a bit in acoustics. When it's full, you can't converse much at the table because the noise is amplified.

12/11/2024: Una garanzia di ottima cucina tipica anche se a volte il piatto è rivisitato in maniera innovativa. Domenica abbiamo provato il Baccalà con cruschi e spinaci (ottimo). Risotto cacio e pepe con gambero rosso sopra (sublime) Lo spaghetto del rullo anche molto molto buono. Posto che sa di casa di campagna. Atmosfera molto familiare. Pulito e ben tenuto come sempre. Confermo che andate a colpo sicuro. Complimenti a Luca e Giada per l’accortezza che usano anche nei piccoli dettagli.

20/10/2024: È stata una buona cena con cibo buono e ricercato, peccato che eravamo gli unici nel ristorante. Sicuramente ci ritorneremo magari d’estate perché c’è un bellissimo spazio esterno. Lo consiglio

28/05/2025: We celebrated our wedding in this extraordinary location a few days ago after choosing Sala Ermica for its strategic position along the Basento valley and the positive opinions collected from other spouses and we couldn't have made a better choice: from the large room equipped with every comfort, to the garden with olive trees in bloom, to the covered winter garden, every corner contributed to enriching and making the day unique. Not to mention the excellent quality of the lunch we enjoyed together with our guests. Anna pays attention to every detail and everything becomes a spectacle for the eyes and the palate. 31/03/2025: HORRIBLE. Breakfast in the bar coffee...burnt at 7.00? Check the machine! Lactose-free cappuccino with milk strictly boiled in the pan where normal milk was made. Croissant served to me boiling hot so I had to take it away because at the first bite it was burning hot and was a raw/sticky mass, so I asked for a little bag and annoyed she handed it to me rudely. To pay? The cashier had to first chat with the back kitchen telling me it's urgent, I'm coming!? But is everything ok? Not at Materana. All this for €5
