11/11/2024: After taking a walk and finding the chestnuts we went for lunch on a Sunday with my husband and my children, the place is really beautiful and clean, surrounded by nature, there are also rides for children... Friendly and courteous staff. Excellent quality food, it's just a shame that out of the first three, two were with cream. As a second course we had a sliced ​​meat and roast meat, both really good, congratulations. All dishes plentiful... For dessert we had tiramisu, very good... They also offered us roasted chestnuts. We will absolutely return...

From appetizers to first courses to second courses to desserts. The pizza is the icing on the cake, prepared with love and professionalism by the owner Marilena. Every time we stop in Matera we will return.

06/08/2024: Après cette marche sous le soleil de plomb, nous sommes arrivés dans ce restaurant à 12h30 piles et dès l’entrée nous avons été très inspirés tant par la fraîcheur que par le cadre. La qualité du service est irréprochable ainsi que celle des mets. Expérience culinaire à vivre. N’hésitez pas à goûter au dessert du chef à base de pain de Matera. À vivre absolument !!

21/08/2024: We arrived without booking on the "advice" of the hotelier where we slept because in his restaurant he didn't have anything to prepare for us having "the warehouse empty" due to our lack of half board choice, but we can't stop thanking the chef for letting us meet two people kind, welcoming, available like Mrs. Lillina and her husband. With expert hands she prepared a delicious dinner that was not at all improvised but was the result of that ancient but much maligned sense of hospitality by chatty hosts and then that holding back with sympathy and grace that together with the the goodness of the dishes demands a return...because what more do you want? a Lucanian! was the answer, yes but authentic and genuine (and as good as Mrs. Lillina)

18/08/2024: All tastes that don't justify the price. The first one wasn't even brought to us, due to problems related to water but without any discount on the final bill (30 euros each). The second course (cod with cruschi peppers) was always a little taste. The service was terrible, the waitress brought us coffees that we had never ordered, insisting in a not very polite tone on the fact that we had ordered them. From an osteria I would expect more generous portions or at least proportionate to the price.

31/08/2024: After a splendid visit to the Sassi of Matera, we stopped in front of "Le Botteghe". Super welcome, lovely place and excellent menu. The service was very pleasant, the wine recommended to pair with an excellent meat dinner, the staff were well-trained and truly disarmingly courteous! It was an extremely pleasant dinner, in a "magical" context and we left very, very satisfied! If we were to return to Matera, Le Botteghe will definitely be an obligatory stop! Alexei.

17/08/2024: We ordered a small platter and two glasses of Aglianico rosé. All delicious, cheeses refined by the manager with a thousand herbs, particular cured meats chosen with passion. Highly recommended!!
