19/05/2025: Excellent food and quality, all at km 0. The staff is very attentive, polite, thoughtful and professional. Great attention to intolerances, especially celiac disease. Located in the Coste forest with an enchanting landscape panorama.

07/07/2025: I can't comment on the food, but I can comment on the service from one of the waiters, who spoke to us rudely, telling us we couldn't be seated without a reservation. It's understandable, of course, but there are ways of saying things. The waiter was very rude.

08/07/2025: My wife and I had dinner at this restaurant and the food was truly delicious. The appetizer was delicious and very generous, and for the main course we had a mixed roast with a side of potatoes. The dessert was delicious and fresh, and the house-made bitters were kindly provided. The only flaw was the house red wine, which wasn't excellent for my taste. Reasonable price, friendly staff, and an experience I'll definitely repeat.

10/07/2025: An experience to forget. We went to this restaurant with high expectations, but we left hungry and in disbelief. The portions were ridiculously small, so much so that it felt more like a forced tasting than a proper meal. The climax came when, after asking for a little olive oil to accompany the bread, we found that oil was added to our bill... as if we'd asked for a tasting of fine oils, without being informed or even interested. Absurd. A small but significant gesture: instead of offering a drizzle of oil as is done in any trattoria with a modicum of hospitality, they decided to charge for it. A shame, because it would have taken so little to make the experience more enjoyable. Instead, we felt cheated. We won't be returning, and we won't recommend it.

10/07/2025: Tiny portions, an exorbitant bill... and the icing on the cake: they charged me for the olive oil "tasting." Just a few drops, as if it were French perfume.

19/07/2025: Dinner featuring traditional dishes: a platter of red fedda, cialledda, crusco peppers with stracciatella and capocollo, fava beans and chicory, crapiata, and finally fig, fig, and fennel ice cream. Everything was truly excellent, as was the service!

19/07/2025: We returned twice during our stay in Matera. All the dishes we tried were very good and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly.

26/07/2025: The restaurant is located on one of the main streets in the lower part of the Sassi di Matera. Inside, the architecture is unique, the restaurant is tastefully furnished, and the staff are very courteous and friendly, all in a truly authentic atmosphere. The menu, in my opinion, can be overwhelming: although all the dishes obviously draw on traditional elements, the pairings really pique your curiosity and appetite, so you'll want to try everything! The wine list is simple and quite refined, with the option of drinking local wines from both well-known and lesser-known producers at very reasonable markups. The owner is a true host, although he told us he stumbled upon this adventure somewhat by chance. He speaks several languages, is knowledgeable, attentive, and never intrusive. The other staff in the dining room were also excellent, and of course the chef and his team. We spent a wonderful family evening at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it, especially because the restaurant manages to stand out from all the others around it, and there are many!

25/06/2025: A central restaurant, very kind the owner and the girl who takes care of the table service. Good food, well cooked and quality. Cleanliness attention to the customer and also very attentive to our dog by immediately getting water for her. Highly recommended. Compliments we will definitely return when we are again in Matera. 03/07/2025: Excellent authentic Italian trattoria, in a quiet park in Montescaglioso, with very willing and extremely helpful staff. The food it serves is authentic Italian and homemade. The portions are huge and the taste is indescribable. Two of us ate until we were full on both nights we stayed here, for €25 each for dinner. I highly recommend it.

25/06/2025: The place is a bit anonymous and bare, but everything else is exceptional. Starting from the welcome of the staff, kind and thoughtful. The waitress was really helpful and super fast, the cutting board and appetizers were really rich and abundant, the pizza really good and well filled. A true masterpiece of taste and hospitality. To return more often.
