17/02/2025: Unfortunately I arrived here with high expectations given the very high reviews... but honestly I have never had a first course that offered absolutely nothing, a second course with ingredients completely disconnected from each other, and a dessert in which the only thing that struck me was the ice cream placed next to the main course. All this accompanied by a glass of wine... how much did we pay? The beauty of 55 euros PER HEAD. Honestly, very disproportionate. Ah, if you have to book, book now because even on weekends the kitchen closes at 11 and you have to be out by half past 11.

04/03/2025: Materami Osteria is a true gem in the heart of Matera. The warm and welcoming atmosphere goes perfectly with a cuisine that enhances the flavors of the Lucanian tradition. Each dish tells a story, but the veal stew is a must try: tender, tasty and perfectly balanced in flavours. The service is attentive and courteous, making the experience even more pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the true flavors of Matera. I will definitely be back!

02/03/2025: We went for lunch for the first time: efficient service, rustic setting, open and clean kitchen. The thing that struck me was the way in which they serve the first and second courses. I ate a Materamì appetizer and black chickpea cavatelli, cod and crusco pepper, all delicious. I recommend it. The location of this tavern is suggestive. Thanks to all the staff

16/03/2025: We spent three wonderful days in this farmhouse surrounded by nature. Piera and her entire family welcomed us with kindness and made us feel at home. The children spent the days immersed in nature in contact with wonderful animals, the most appreciated donkeys. They also appreciated the play area dedicated to them, with swings, slides and much more. Salvatore, the chef, delighted us with exquisite dishes made with fresh, local products. The room was comfortable and clean. A relaxing environment for the whole family, a wonderful experience.

13/03/2025: Family-run farm, where you feel at home. Fast and attentive service. High quality of the products used, organic and Km. 0: eggs, vegetables, strawberries, pears, kiwis, oranges... Close to the sea, but immersed in the countryside and with farmyard animals, adored by children. Play area for the little ones and garden to stay in. Impossible not to take home their organic products: oil, sauce, jams and marmalades. Try it!

25/02/2025: I highly recommend this place if you are in Matera. The location is quite central. The food was very good, there was the possibility of making a menu, so we tasted both the first and second courses. A note of merit goes to the spaghetti alla Materana, which was very good, and to the scallops with lemon. A special mention also goes to the service, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

25/02/2025: We came across this place by chance on our way back from the mountains, we had lunch from the à la carte menu, and we ate very well. However, last Sunday we had a fixed menu as imposed by the restaurant, what can we say we were not happy at all. We will return but not on Sunday.

09/12/2024: Per la prima volta siamo stati in questo meraviglioso locale per una cena in famiglia e ne siamo rimasti entusiasti! Partendo dall’ampio parcheggio antistante la struttura, ci si ritrova subito in un giardino ben curato che circonda il ristorante. Le luci soffuse che illuminano le pietre delle facciate creano una gradevole atmosfera. Entrando nel locale ci si ritrova in una grande sala elegante e raffinata, mentre una scala porta ad un’altra sala al piano superiore. La professionalità e la gentilezza del personale ci ha accompagnati durante tutta la cena. Abbiamo potuto gustare piatti estremamente curati e siamo rimasti catturati dai sapori di una cucina di altissima qualità. Ogni piatto, che ci è stato piacevolmente “raccontato” dal cordialissimo personale di sala, è stato un trionfo di delicati sapori! La Cantina dei vini è molto ben fornita ed anche i dolci sono a dir poco strepitosi…. insomma posso affermare che il Ristorante Sotto la Torre sia stata sicuramente una scelta eccellente per la nostra cena di famiglia!

20/01/2025: it is delicious! I ate gelato pistachio + cherry + chocolate and drank decaffeinated cappuccino, and it was much cheaper than in Seoul. Decaf is an additional 0.1 euros. It seemed like there was a change to soy milk too! (I've seen places in Korea that charge 1,000 won) Gelato comes in three flavors for 3.5 euros! Good food Coffee with soy milk & decaffeinated coffee ok (different price)

23/02/2025: We found this place by chance while visiting Maratea. We chose the tasting menu with a starter, two first courses, grilled meat, fruit and dessert. and we ate really well. Highly recommended

10/01/2025: In September, we discovered this spot with seating in the square. We ordered an Aperol Spritz, lasagna, and a red berry salad and were pleasantly surprised. The lasagna was especially enjoyable. A great choice for people-watching while enjoying a bite and some drinks.

05/01/2025: Nothing to say about the food and the very nice place, but guys fix the service because it was really unnerving, I usually never complain about the wait when the quality is high, but today it exceeded the limit, my girlfriend wanted to get up and leave !
