29/01/2026: I was a guest for work. If I ever come to L'Aquila for a vacation, I'll definitely stay at this family-run, yet truly professionally managed hotel. The food was delicious, with a freshly baked croissant for breakfast, just the way I like it. The staff were helpful and attentive to their guests' habits. They noticed I was carefully avoiding tomatoes and dairy products and offered suitable options without a word. I thanked them and explained my slight intolerances. The RESTAURANT/PIZZERIA is spacious and attractive, with rooms that sleep three, and tidy and comfortable bathrooms. But above all these aesthetic features, I have to give it a sixth star for the cleanliness of all the rooms. Finally, there's ample parking with a large solar shelter that can accommodate five or six vans or trucks.
17/01/2026: Recommended. We ordered three pizzas (my mother is celiac and said it was among the best she's ever eaten), and my dad ordered the cod trio, which was also very good. Kudos to the staff, too; the waitress who served us was named Sara and was very helpful and polite. A well-deserved 5 stars for the restaurant.

14/01/2026: First time here, and I must say with regret, I'm disappointed. We hope to return and change our minds. The many positive reviews make me think the staff is having a bad day. It can happen, so I'll be happy to change my review. For now, I hope this helps. The location is nice, but the wait staff was a little less so, let's say aseptic. There were two of them: a man who seemed a little angry, very quiet and minimal, and a woman who was more inclined to serve and smile. Even the grill man seemed very taciturn and perhaps a little angry; in fact, we thought they might have argued among themselves... Well, let's leave personal impressions aside. Let's just say that in a hospitality business, if this isn't there, something is missing. So, let's just say we didn't like the atmosphere. The food... No, we absolutely didn't like the food. The worst thing was the way the meat was cooked, even though we chose very simple meats like arrosticini and lamb. The lamb was too dry, especially the leg. The arrosticini, on the other hand, were truly inedible, I'm so sorry to say. They kept coming back all day and into the evening, and we all had the taste that kept coming back to us until the next morning. The first course... We had a gricia, if I'm not mistaken, without the beef tartare. It was good, but the lemon zest without the tartare destroyed the flavor of the gricia cream. The seasonal mixed salad... The seasonal mixed salad is not a mixed salad made with lettuce, radicchio, and carrot sliders, it's something else entirely. It's made with seasonal wild herbs. What you're serving is a mixed salad. I hope you'll review the name or ingredients so you can be clear with the customer who orders. The bill... High, yes, really high for the quality-price ratio, but I repeat what I said at the beginning of the review: perhaps the staff had a bad day. If I had eaten well and experienced a welcoming atmosphere, I wouldn't have complained about the price. There is one important thing, however, that absolutely needs to be pointed out. A plate of gricia with beef tartare that you sell for €16 cannot cost the same as a plate of gricia without the beef tartare. You know very well that in the first place, the food price is mainly due to the beef tartare, so if a customer asks for gricia without the tartare, the price can't be the same. Obviously, this is always my opinion. I'll close with a quote from Totò in the movie Totò Coming to America: "A girl with almond-shaped eyes, a cherry-shaped mouth, and peach cheeks. She's not a greengrocer, is she? Well! As long as she doesn't have a potato nose and a pear-shaped head."
09/01/2026: I’ve been coming to Zio for years and I have to say this has been the very best. The chef is touched by the God Chef. Yes, it is a destination restaurant and not easy to find and located in not the best of Abruzzo, but make this your top destination. It is quite simply a WOW culinary experience. 01/01/2026: The restaurant is located in the center of Pescara. It's small but still has room for several tables. The idea of ​​combining a deli with a bistro is interesting. The staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive to their customers, and the service is excellent. As for the dishes, everything I tried was excellent, from the appetizer to the main course. The fried fish was a real discovery, the best I've had in a long time. The dessert was also delicious. What more can I say? Highly recommended.

11/01/2026: Located among the villages on the slopes of Gran Sasso, this restaurant introduced me to the delicious cuisine of Abruzzo, with its many local specialties and typical mountain products. We started with the arrosticini, which were impossible not to order. They were incredible and, let me be clear, much better than anything I've tasted around Italy: the meat was incredibly tender and the lamb flavor was delicate, never too intense. We then shared a few dishes to try a little bit of everything. The fresh pasta with lamb ragù was simply perfect, perfectly cooked and with a ragù that melted in your mouth. The pecorino alla cottora was a delight and echoed the quality of the arrosticini, thanks to the tender meat's distinctive flavor, yet without overpowering the other ingredients. The sauce was definitely worth mopping up. Finally, my favorite dish: the pallotte cacio e ova, fried cheese and egg balls dipped in a delicious sauce. Incredible! All accompanied by an excellent house red wine. The service was very friendly and helpful. Despite our late arrival for lunch, they welcomed us warmly and attentively, making the experience even more enjoyable. For about thirty euros each, I left feeling full and very satisfied. I highly recommend it.

23/08/2025: We had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding last July 19th at this wonderful location. The estate is surrounded by picturesque vineyards, and from the terrace you can even see the sea. The room is unique, modern, refined, and very spacious. The food was superb, the service impeccable, the waiters fantastic, especially our personal waiter Antonio, a delightful person, attentive and available to fulfill our every request. A special thanks to Mr. Nino, who knew how to make us feel at ease and coordinated everything flawlessly. Our guests still call us today, a month later, to compliment us on the beautiful location we chose. For us, it was a beautiful dream, and thank you for letting us live it. Alessio and Francesca
