18/05/2026: I discovered it through social media, and I have to say I was very, very pleased with the appetizers. They have a fairly varied menu, from starters to main courses, pizzas, and much more, so it's great for those who are always hesitant about what to choose. As for the pizza, I have to say it's really good, beautifully presented, but don't expect light pizzas; they're rightly very filling and leave a nice aftertaste, so it can feel quite heavy in the stomach.

01/05/2026: We were there on May 1st for lunch, set menu...many courses...it was an extraordinary experience, delicious home-made Abruzzese cuisine, amazing mixed grilled roast...the owner was very friendly and helpful

With your stomach because you eat so much, and so well.
With your heart because try closing your eyes, going back, and imagining that table, the set table at your grandmother's house. Unforgettable glasses, plates, pasta dishes, and tablecloths that take you back to your childhood, and in an instant, memories of those past moments come flooding back! You eat not only with gusto, but also with your heart.

01/05/2026: Ohh!! And today we did ourselves a favor again. We started with the cacio e ova balls with fish sauce, then moved on to the chitarrina with mantis shrimp. Then we went on to a fantastic mixed fried fish dish. Our food suicide ended with a chocolate crumble with black cherry cream. Sounds like a great way to die. Jokes aside, everything was super good, and we want to extend our compliments to all the staff, the kitchen, and the owner who leads this fantastic team.

13/07/2026: We went to this refuge on Friday evening for dinner at the recommendation of the owner of the B&B where we were staying. Everything was perfect, from the location to the food. The zeppoline they voluntarily brought us, filled with scamorza and prosciutto, and the bread lightly toasted with extra virgin olive oil were delicious. The veal steak and baked potatoes deserve special mention: the meat was exceptionally cooked, a delicious cut that melted in your mouth, not to mention the flavorful, yet light and delicious potatoes. Thanks to all the professional and competent staff. If we return to Mayella, it will be a must-visit. Manuela and Stefano

16/07/2026: A lovely, tastefully decorated restaurant with an excellent selection of pizzas with original and delicious toppings. They're also available for lunch. The restaurant overlooks the busy Tiburtina road, but it's comfortable inside. The staff is very friendly and courteous.

22/07/2026: I went there yesterday with my husband and two daughters. We first swam under the trabocco and then continued with lunch. The atmosphere was refined and the staff young and welcoming. Impeccable service. The dishes arrived promptly. Enchanting location overlooking the sea. The fish was good and the dishes were well-served. I didn't really like the fruit after the sorbet. Otherwise, I would have preferred a larger dessert. 😀😀 I'll be back next year.
22/07/2026: This enchanting place feels like something out of a Pirates of the Caribbean movie. It boasts a long history and a restaurant offering a fixed seafood menu. We ate very well, and the portions are appropriate for the many courses, from appetizers to fried fish and pasta to baked fish. The food is good, and the service is very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is captivating, leaving you with a timeless feeling of simplicity and beauty. Watching the sky darken on the deck while you eat is like dining. You feel like you're at the beautiful sea.

12/07/2026: The food is very good, typical of Abruzzo. I ate typical dishes such as sheep's milk stew called "pecorino al callaro" and "sagne al ragù" with 3 types of meat, it's very good, and the saffron ricotta ravioli are also very good, go and try them.

20/07/2026: We visited this place last evening. When we drove up, I was a bit surprised because from the outside, it looks like an ordinary Italian townhouse. However, once you step inside, you find yourself in the magical land of Abruzzo food. The presentation and flavor of the dishes perfectly captured the atmosphere of this beautiful place.

05/06/2026: Interesting concept: Porchetta and Porchetta. Unfortunately, there wasn't even a fresh salad to go with it. A very casual place for locals with friendly service. I'm sorry, I can't give more stars because for customers who want something extra, it's a give-and-take.

09/07/2026: We celebrated our daughter Angelica's 18th birthday in this wonderful location. Director Nino de Gregorio, a true professional, oversaw us, and it was a triumph. Every detail was taken care of, even the most subtle. Not to mention the attention paid to guests with allergies and intolerances; they were fantastic. In short, a fairytale birthday. I can't imagine what they'd be capable of doing for a more important event. Thank you for everything. I gave it 5 stars because that's the maximum allowed, but for me, it's 10.

Special mention goes to the tacconcini alla Filippo. Authentic flavor, but the chef's skill is evident, as he manages to balance sweet, savory, and spicy.

02/06/2026: Fresh fish and ever-changing ideas for pairing it with different dishes, depending on whether you're talking raw, hot, or cold. Specifically, we sampled complete appetizers with oysters and noteworthy raw fish, smoked spaghetti with Normandy butter, anchovy sauce and bottarga, and to finish, a crispy, dry fried fish. The Trebbiano wine from an Abruzzo winery was paired with the dish.
The price was absolutely competitive and in line with what we tasted.

A young team truly lives up to expectations. Absolute compliments, and my advice is to book well in advance, given the popularity of the place.
12/07/2026: I had a really good meal, real, fresh, quality fish, perfectly cooked, just the right portions, fast service, and friendly, helpful staff. The quality-price ratio is hard to find elsewhere. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely go.
