24/08/2024: We stopped one evening in Montesilvano and chose this restaurant. Excellent dishes with very good prices. The cheese and egg pallote and the kebabs are excellent. The first courses are also good. I don't give 5 stars because of the somewhat grumpy lady who served us, but it was a positive experience

01/08/2024: Il Casolare is synonymous with excellent food, wonderful location, unsurpassed service, kindness, attention and so on and so forth. If the meat-based menu is excellent, the fish-based menu is unbeatable... not everyone knows how to do both. Highly recommended for any occasion, weddings, confirmations and communions, but also for a dinner or lunch with family or friends!!!

11/08/2024: We ate in this lovely restaurant and cannot comment on the rooms of the B&B. We certainly wouldn't have found it without Google, as it's relatively hidden at the end of a side street. You shouldn't have a lowered car either, as the last part of the road and the parking lot are not paved. The restaurant has a beautiful terrace and is surrounded by olive trees. The staff was very accommodating and took care of us. There is no English map, but what was not clear was explained to us in English. The food was excellent. If you want to get to know the typical cuisine of Abruzzo, this is definitely the right place for you. Everything we ate was of very good quality, rich and tasty. The price is also completely reasonable. Dog wasn't a problem, I think reservation is definitely necessary during high season and on weekends. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

09/08/2024: We had dinner at this place which we found by chance to be really excellent. Meanwhile, compliments to the friendly, nice and fast service, nothing to say about the food, the kebabs are excellent, I recommend the platters and the pâtés with peel, the other products seem a little more commercial. Adequate prices on average €20 per person

03/09/2024: A good trattoria with local food...excellent first courses with generous portions...second courses also of good quality...honest and competitive price.

02/09/2024: I expected a lot from reading the reviews. The grilled cheese was good, but the tagliatelle with wild boar ragù were not very tasty and I was hoping to find pieces of meat like in other places, including Sicily. The barbecue is done on the griddle and not on the embers (and this is intolerable for a true Abruzzo native) and has not left its mark. Decent local wine. The panoramic view over the valley is very beautiful. Sunday lunch. There were only four of us. However, the welcome was warm.

03/09/2024: Avevo letto le recensioni ed ero carico di aspettative. Se possibile la cena si è rilevata ancora migiore delle attese. Nonostante il locale pienissimo il personale è stato caloroso ed accogliente. La qualità del cibo ottimo ed ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Assolutamente da provare.

25/08/2024: Locale sul molo sud del porto di Ortona e con tanti parcheggi intorno (ma occhio che a pranzo potreste avere problemi per la presenza dei bagnanti). Pesce locale con buona proposta di antipasti, primi e secondi. Buona scelta di vini. Personale solerte e cortese

23/08/2024: We decided to book after reading the reviews. We had dinner outside, friendly staff, well looked after food. We ordered two grilled scamorza, one sliced, a first course with mushrooms and truffle, a first course with tomato, all very good. If I really had to find a "flaw" in the cut, I would add less salt. Two desserts tiramisu and pistachio panna cotta both good. And maybe a little limoncello🤪. All good around €23 each.

23/08/2024: Optimal. My husband and I went last night with our two children. Excellent quality of the fish, cooked very well and with a slightly different and original proposal. Attentive and kind staff, always friendly and welcoming. Absolutely low prices for the quality offered. What more could you want from a restaurant? Every time we go to Pescara we will definitely return to this restaurant.

15/08/2024: Wir mussten gut 30min auf die Aufnahme unserer Bestellung warten. Das Essen kam erst auf Nachfrage. Alle Gäste die nach uns bestellt hatten bekamen ihr Essen vor uns. Wir hatten die gleiche Hauptspeise (eine glutenfrei) Bei der Glutenfreien waren 2 Stücke weniger auf dem Teller. Auf Nachfrage unverständliche Erklärung bzw. Ausrede. Nachdem so viel schief gelaufen ist nur 3€ Nachlass bei der Rechnung. Küche zu empfehlen. Personal nicht zu empfehlen!!

29/08/2024: I would like to point out that I have already been a guest of this restaurant in the past and that, even at the time, I was pleasantly surprised. The place is large, arranged and well furnished, the waiters are all kind and professional with an eye always attentive to the needs of the customers. Excellent food with good quality ingredients. The first courses and starters were excellent, in my opinion their strong points. Absolutely modest prices. Highly recommended.

Excellent food with quality raw materials, traditional local dishes prepared in a modern way and with a high aesthetic impact. Delicious pastries and desserts. Nice, friendly staff who pay attention to the customer's well-being.

11/07/2024: What a beautiful experience Gregory's cooking is, together with his father in the dining room they make a nice duo. Exquisite appetizers but the rabbit with three cherry tomatoes deserves particular praise. We fought for the pasta with artichoke cream, crispy bacon and provolone. I don't know who Lorenzo di Pianella is, but he makes them well and Gregory cooks them divinely. It was raining and we ate inside, can't wait to go back and try the courtyard. 05/08/2024: 20 meters away from the place you could smell the smell of meat, the place already makes you hungry from the outside and the premises are the best. Simple and clean place, friendly and helpful staff. We only tasted kebabs, spectacular! They are usually square, machine made, these look artisanal and handmade, the best I have eaten! The rest of the dishes passed before us, they seemed generous portions and well made. Congratulations, excellent prices, for 2 about €15 each for dinner, with wine and water.

07/08/2024: Makkaroni Bros ...a great experience! Well-kept location with minimal style. Kind and attentive service. Excellent cuisine, good choice of dishes, excellent ingredients. We tasted the sheep pie, the bruschettona with caramelized onions and the entrecote steak. Definitely recommended

03/08/2024: We returned after a couple of years. The opinion can only remain positive. Let's go in order: The food is exquisite, top-notch raw materials, nothing to complain about. The service is attentive and present. Given that it is Saturday evening and the place is almost completely full, perhaps it wasn't very fast but that's okay. The environment is refined and welcoming; The bathrooms are spotless and equipped for all eventualities. The opinion can only remain extremely positive and I invite anyone who can to go there...
