23/02/2025: I frequent this pizzeria by the slice occasionally, especially when we feel like eating the calzones which are sublime. Yesterday I had an experience that I want to share because it deserves attention. I ordered 20 calzones and 20 mixed pizzas, at the time of collection I was welcomed by the owner Angelo who served me the reservation and when I paid with the ATM transaction I realized in my mind that there was something wrong.... In fact he was giving me 2 trays of pizza for a total of 30 pieces and not 20. I immediately pointed it out and Angelo without hesitation admitted the mix-up, he gave me back the difference but the thing that surprised me it was, in addition to his kindness, that he wanted to leave the extra pieces of pizza inside the box, despite the money returned. This attitude of his goes beyond .... and these days it is a rare commodity! Behind the counter he moves with extreme attention and coordination.... with a smile and with education.... involving all the staff who can't help but follow his example. An example that remains imprinted on us customers and that certainly makes us want to come back..... as well as his top trousers!!!

01/02/2025: Ci siamo fermati per caso in questo ristorante, conosciuto da un nostro parente abruzzese; e devo dire che il cibo era ottimo. Davvero molto buono e di qualità. I prezzi erano assolutamente in linea con tutto quello che abbiamo preso. Ci ritornerò assolutamente!

24/02/2025: Ci siamo stati con una coppia di amici. Il posto è splendido, curato accogliente e "caldo" Abbiamo mangiato vari piatti di carne, tutti assolutamente superlativi, oltre a verdure e antipasti misti Nessuna pecca. Merita una deviazione Purtroppo dovevamo andare via e non siamo riusciti a mangiare i dolci...una scusa per tornarci!

23/02/2025: Serata in due famiglie, con bambini al seguito. Innanzitutto da elogiare la gentilezza delle cameriere, presenti, cortesi e col sorriso. Anche molto pazienti nell'attendere che decidessimo cosa prendere. Abbiamo preso degli antipasti, bruschette, antipasto vegetariano con verdure grigliate e ricotta fresca, pallotte cacio e ova. Tutto eccellente. Le verdure grigliate molto saporite e condite benissimo. Patate al forno tagliate sottili spettacolari. Una serie di secondi di carne: tagliata di vitello, filetto di maiale, bistecca di manzo, salsicce, tutto veramente ottimo. Cottura della carne perfetta. Tempi di servizio ottimi. Assolutamente ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Bravi!

26/03/2025: I was on March 21st at the new place Il Cristallo dei Borgia in Piazza S. Maria della Valle 30 in Subiaco (same owners) with my family. Magnificent place run by wonderful people, excellent food and satisfied in everything!!! We will be back soon!

27/03/2025: Warm and welcoming place with open kitchen, the environment is informal but well organised, I would say very practical. The menu includes a wide choice of very original and not at all banal sandwiches accompanied by a nice selection of craft beers. We had two sandwiches and a fried dish with a beer and two coffees. The price is absolutely reasonable and affordable compared to the quality of the food offered. We will definitely come back or order home delivery as soon as possible.

Every dish, from appetizer to dessert, was delicious and prepared with fresh, wholesome ingredients. 23/02/2025: I had dinner at Ristoro La Foce with a group of friends and we were satisfied. The restaurant is located in a beautiful medieval village, which makes the atmosphere very pleasant. Dinner was tasty and we enjoyed the dishes served. I recommend giving it a try if you're in the area!

02/03/2025: Locale carino con pochi posti a sedere. Tutto fatto in casa dalla pasta alle patatine fritte. Pasta cacio e pepe top, tagliata di manzo tenera. Per finire abbiamo preso il tiramisu scomposto, da provare... Ci torneremo

23/03/2025: Ci sono dei posti che ti accarezzano l'anima, questo è uno di quelli. Personale preparato, gentile e attento ad ogni esigenza e non è cosa da poco. Il locale è ben arredato, accogliente e pulito. Il cibo viene preparato da un giovane Chef con un carisma e una passione che poche volte in vita mia ho visto. Tutti piatti presi sono stati un tripudio di colori e sapori. Tutto equilibrato, delicato ma con carattere. Lui è senza dubbio il cuore pulsante del locale. Lo consiglio vivamente.

04/03/2025: The lamb was downright cheesy. The one who passes himself off as a sommelier knows nothing about anything, and he also thinks he can reply. Paid a lot for eating little, very little and nothing exceptional. I don't think I'll be back.

The perfectly balanced tasting menus, with an eye on tradition that leaves room for unique and innovative interpretations. If you ask for something more than a simple dinner and are looking for an exciting taste experience, I recommend it without reservations. The impeccable and competent service, the intimate and refined atmosphere and the view of the Trabocchi coast are the setting for a unique experience.

The location, with the splendid view of the Costa dei Trabocchi, makes every dinner special, while the attentive and professional staff can give the best advice, even for wine pairings. If you are looking for a restaurant where fish is the protagonist in an elegant and welcoming environment, Essenza is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!
