Spectacular food, everything delicious! The only problem was getting to the restaurant: since Pretoro is a very small town and can only be explored on foot, it was a bit difficult to find our way around. We ordered some typical products: cheeses, homemade cured meats, homemade pasta, and a main course. Recommended dishes: antipasto della torre, ravioli alla ventricella, and dishes off the menu (almost all of them are good). Not recommended: chitarra pasta with duck sauce (not very flavorful).

It was a wonderful discovery. In a small village of 600 inhabitants in Pretoro in Abruzzo, we discovered the La Torre restaurant, an enchanting place carved into the mountain rock. The staff were very kind and explained the various courses, the dishes were refined with top-quality local ingredients. The off-menu items with seasonal products were also recommended. The trio of desserts with excellent coffee was also top-notch. The quality/price ratio was very, very much appreciated.

For our anniversary, I was looking for a unique venue, and I found it. La Torre Restaurant is located beneath an ancient watchtower carved into the rock. It's beautiful and well-maintained, suitable for all events, especially romantic ones. Ms. Assunta is helpful and very kind, making you feel like we've been friends forever. The service is excellent, and the dishes are carefully prepared and uniquely delicious. At the end, Mrs. Assunta offered us coffee and a homemade liqueur, which was delicious. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their wonderful service. I definitely recommend it.

We've had lunch at this lovely restaurant several times now. The last time was for my mother's birthday. We were surprised by the candle added to the cake and the positive atmosphere the restaurant exuded on such a special day. The restaurant was truly outstanding, and I could see it in my mother's eyes: she was so happy to be there for her birthday. It's located in an extremely convenient spot. The food is delicious, the service is superb, and the ambiance is exceptional. It's romantic, peaceful, and unique all at once. Truly extraordinary. Furthermore, I highly recommend the Gianni Maciarelli red wine (Montepulciano d'Abruzzo); we absolutely loved it. You are our favorite restaurant. Thank you so much for your professionalism. 🫶🏻

I really recommend it with the certainty of not being proven wrong... good food, aromas that remind us of the dishes of the past, cooked with mastery, clean flavors, the cuisine that at the end of the meal leaves you feeling light, then the kindness and consideration of the owner and all the staff is to be emphasized.

We dined at La Torre di Pretoro on July 26, 2026, and it was a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with kindness, warmth, and a family atmosphere that made us feel immediately at home. Our table was set inside a charming little cave carved into the rock: a truly charming, intimate, and characteristic corner, where the ancient stones almost seem to tell the story of the place as you enjoy dinner. After receiving the menu, we relied on the owner's precious advice in choosing the dishes of the day. It was a perfect choice! You can immediately taste the use of genuine, local, and top-quality ingredients, prepared with care and passion. Special praise goes to the dishes enhanced by the delicate *Fara Filiorum Petri flat white onion* used in both the first and second courses, a local delicacy that lends a unique flavor without ever overpowering the other ingredients. From the appetizers featuring typical local products like cheeses, ventricina, and capocollo, to the first courses, main courses, and desserts, every course was a true pleasure. Abruzzo cuisine is celebrated with respect for tradition, attention to detail, and a wealth of expertise. Compliments to the entire staff for their professionalism and hospitality. It's one of those places you love to visit... and leave wanting more. We will definitely do so. Highly recommended!

An excellent restaurant in a medieval tower. Traditional Abruzzo dishes expertly prepared. The welcome and hospitality are impeccable: the friendliness and kindness match the excellent dishes. Absolutely fair prices.

Every time I'm more and more amazed, and it's a pleasure to return. Dish with sweet white onion from Fara Filiorum Petri.

I was passing through and that day I enjoyed an off-menu dish. Trocolore cavatelli topped with a creamy cheese sauce, walnuts, and grated lemon zest. In the center, an excellent pecorino cheese ice cream.

A truly unique location where you can breathe in the pure Abruzzo air. The Torta del Lupo is amazing... Must try! 🤩
