03/04/2024: The restaurant has several internal rooms and an external area where it is possible to dine in the summer. Many varieties of pizza are available on the menu, from the most classic to the most innovative and tasty, as well as focaccias and delicacies. It is possible to ask to use lactose-free mozzarella. Very good homemade desserts. While we wait for the pizza we never get tired of playing the games drawn on the placemats, they are a nice pastime. Note of merit for the home delivery and the staff, always punctual and kind!

14/03/2024: It will certainly be an excellent restaurant, if you find it open... I called 2 days before making sure that it was open on Thursday for lunch and obviously we found it closed: if you treat the few customers who want to go there like this.....

15/02/2024: Yesterday on the occasion of Valentine's Day my wife and I had lunch in this place, we were pleasantly surprised by the truly excellent quality food, the generous portions accompanied by an excellent red wine, the beautiful small place that are always the best, from the friendliness and kindness of the owner who is always attentive without ever being intrusive, the price in line with what we ate, we will certainly return and I highly recommend it.

It's very nice and easy to get to Everyone was very welcoming Giuseppe our waiter was very professional and guided us in our choices and explained everything to us and we were satisfied with everything! Optimal! We got the tartare mix and the Simmental carpaccio which was out of this world! The paccheri with potato and truffle cream were stellar and the Prussian tbone steak melted in your mouth! We were full so no dessert. I honestly can't wait to go back and try the rest! Thanks again for the excellent work and quality!

06/04/2024: We had the pleasure of having lunch at this restaurant after a motorbike ride. We ate very well, really good meat. Informal environment, quick service and friendly staff. Very honest prices. We will definitely be back!

06/04/2024: Very good local cuisine, appetizers of cured meats and sausages and local cheeses, very good EVO oil of own production. The first courses were delicious, with very good kebabs and vegetables. Final gem offered by Fabrizio, the owner, 8 homemade distillates: gentian, saffron distillate and without words the rosolio.

17/03/2024: We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at La Torre di Pretoro. The food was outstanding as well as the service. We enjoyed a couple of bottles of Malverno vino Rosso. We had a great time and highly recommend a visit for dinner here. You wont be disappointed.

We are immensely grateful for the constant presence, support and professionalism of Stefano, Enzo, Emanuele and their entire family and team. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful experience. Every detail, from the initial communications to the decisions along the way, was managed with efficiency and serenity thanks to Stefano's great availability and his sunny and confident presence. Thanks to the attention to the needs of the couple and each guest, the chef and his entire team in the kitchen responded to every dietary need. We were amazed by the large amount of compliments we received from our families and friends on the beauty, quality and deliciousness of the dishes served during lunch. Emanuele's kind and reassuring presence accompanied every moment of our day to guarantee a peaceful progression of events. The attention to every detail and the professionalism of each team member created an atmosphere of great refinement. 20/03/2024: This place was highly recommended and the staff was amazing. So incredibly nice. The pictures on website show pasta which they do not have and the pizza unfortunately was under whelming. One of my family members who makes excellent pizza said he feels the oven was not hot enough as he ran into similar crust starting out. We got there just as they were opening and I think maybe they were rushing which wasnt neccessary as we were not in a rush. If I have time to go before I leave I would like to gve another chance. My advice is dont go to early, let the ovens heat up.

10/03/2024: Cozy place, carefully furnished in rural style, we had lunch with a vegetarian starter, among the various courses the sautéed mushrooms and gratin peppers are worthy of note, the chickpea soup and chestnuts are superlative with extremely generous servings. Excellent quality raw materials, excellent value for money. Friendly staff, punctual and professional room service. The restaurant boasts a large adjacent car park with a splendid view of the valley. Absolutely worth trying.

02/04/2024: Lo Scalco dell'Aquila is not only the best restaurant in that beautiful and invincible city. It's much much more. Here food becomes a work of art. But the artist did not limit himself only to the triumph of taste. He went above and beyond. The vision, the presentation, the description make it a multi-sensorial work. A poetic experience. But to "build the Future together" - to quote the visionary and wise words of the Artist Armando - art alone is not enough. And so here is the care, the professionalism, the kindness, the passion, the dedication that Armando, Massimiliana and all their wonderful young staff naturally embody.
