Pappardelle with venison ragù deserves an A+!

Our trekking guide recommended this excellent restaurant serving traditional Abruzzo cuisine, where we had a truly wonderful time and a delicious meal. The convenience of the ample parking was evident from the moment we arrived. The dining experience was excellent from start to finish, with authentic, well-prepared dishes and a pleasant atmosphere. In short, a restaurant that offers top-notch quality at a fair price. 🟢 THE STANDOUT: The cacio e ova (cheese and egg) meatballs are delicious, and I recommend them. The ravioli with ricotta (80% sheep's milk, 20% cow's milk) are perfect. The rabbit was also very good and well-cooked. I also thought the arrosticini were well-made, but we didn't try them. 🟡 THE ATMOSPHERE: A welcoming place with meticulous attention to detail; the bathrooms were also worthy of note, as they were very clean. 🤵 THE SERVICE: Attentive, courteous, and always available service. They make you feel cared for without ever being intrusive. 💰 VALUE FOR MONEY: Excellent. We paid just €52 total for what we ate: the bill was more than fair and proportionate to the excellent quality offered. 🔧 ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: Honestly, there's nothing to complain about; the experience was impeccable in every way. 📌 OVERALL: An excellent confirmation of authentic Abruzzo cuisine in Abbateggio. A charming place, with extremely kind staff who take care of their guests with care and dedication, and excellent cuisine. An absolute must-see if you're visiting these wonderful areas of Abruzzo. We spent a special evening immersed in silence, overlooking the unforgettable peaks of the Maiella. Thank you for everything.

Excellent dinner with local products

Passing by, I found this restaurant with friendly and professional staff. I enjoyed excellent first courses: abundant tagliolini with venison sauce, ditaloni with mushrooms and porcini mushrooms, second courses: grilled lamb and grilled smoked scamorza with raw ham and tomatoes, wine, water and dessert for a fair price.

The restaurant's location is truly stunning, perched on a hilltop with a spectacular view, surrounded by nature and complete peace. The food is also delicious, and the atmosphere inside is homey and welcoming. If we hadn't been returning to Rome, I would have stayed there for dinner; I loved it so much, and we'll definitely be back.

The food and value for money are simply EXCEPTIONAL. There's nothing else like it in the area, and we can't wait to return.
