Also your shop catches the eye:) Unfortunately, you were closed when me and my husband were few times in San Quirico during our honeymoon. We wanted to buy this painting as a reminder of our happy time in Tuscany. If there is any chance you could sell it and send to Austria, it would be the best gift for my husband to our first anniversary :)

28/08/2025: A quick lunch before boarding for Sardinia, without having booked. A delightful discovery amidst the narrow streets of Piombino, with an outdoor table in a traffic-free area and shaded by a large tree. Excellent seafood carbonara (off the menu) for four, an excellent bottled Tuscan white wine, three waters, four coffees, and a generous portion of chips for our daughter. The final bill was €142, including a complimentary limoncino for the four adults. The staff were very prompt, friendly, and helpful, and the atmosphere was family-friendly. Highly recommended. SFV

17/08/2025: Coming across Miriam's is always a pleasure: her welcome makes you feel immediately at home, with that rare authenticity. It's not my first time in the area, and the dish that brings me back, time and again, is the chicken liver pâté with fig compote. I've never tasted livers like that: creamy, intense, balanced by the sweetness of the figs. That alone is worth the trip. The menu isn't extensive (a plus, as it signifies care and freshness) and always holds some pleasant surprises. Among the dishes I've tried, a special mention goes to the chitarrine pasta with mint and guanciale, perfectly fragrant and delicious. The wine list focuses on natural wines and a few local bubbles: perhaps a little less extensive than the last time I was there, but still interesting. A word of caution: let's support small businesses that know how to work. Running an osteria involves costs and sacrifices, and it's not always easy. That's why I was shocked to hear two women at the next table ordering water and two first courses, also asking to change a tomato and eggplant risotto (which I had also ordered) by removing the butter and parmesan. Where's the respect for the work of those who cook? Miriam and her osteria deserve to be supported, because they know how to convey authenticity, quality, and warmth.

25/07/2025: This was our first time at this trattoria. The eggplant fettuccine was very good. The ones with duck sauce were also very good. The grilled meat was good, and the fried zucchini were delicious. Overall, we ate well and paid the right amount.
21/06/2025: Per la prima volta siamo stati con un gruppo di amici a mangiare in questa trattoria dal carattere estremamente familiare. Le tagliatelle, loro specialità dai tempi in cui il locale era gestito dalla mamma Sofia, hanno mantenuto il sapore della tradizione, questo detto dai nostri amici che frequentano il locale da diversi anni. E noi confermiamo che non abbiamo mai mangiato della pasta così buona. Anche i sughi erano eccezionali, provato l'anatra, il ragù e i piselli. Prima avevamo mangiato la loro giardiniera per aprire lo stomaco alle delizie successive. Per finire i dolci, tutti fatti rigorosamente da loro.... Sembravano le torte della nonna, trasmettevano familiarità ❤️ Grazieeeee ci avete fatto rivivere le cose buone di un passato che non torna ma che può vivere ancora oggi. Torneremo 🙏

22/08/2025: What can I say... a typical old trattoria... simple... both for families and groups... generous dishes... at a reasonable price... worth returning to... since I've been going there for over 30 years...
19/08/2025: A trattoria by name and by nature. A wide selection of first courses, but rather than serving them plain with sauce on top, a sautéed dish definitely improves the look and, above all, the taste. A good selection of second courses as well, with a generous and flavorful mixed grill. In the summer, they have an outdoor terrace. The service is more subdued than high, but Luca, the owner, always makes up for it with courtesy and kindness. It's very noisy at times, but unfortunately, that's the case everywhere these days. The menu has been slightly tweaked at the top, but it's still good value. I pop in every now and then, especially in the summer for a breath of fresh air from the Custoza hills.

Sono stata ieri sera con delle amiche e penso ci tornero' presto! Atmosfera intima e tranquilla. Un caffè speciale che non avevo mai bevuto prima "raccontato" dal gestore....

10/08/2025: A hidden gem next to the Trevi Fountain: Quirino Restaurant Sometimes, Rome gives you moments that seem like they're written in a movie script. We arrived today from Barcelona, where I live, because I wanted my aunt Myriam, recently arrived from Colombia, to experience this beautiful and spectacular city. My aunt Miriam and I were walking, enjoying the eternal charm of the Trevi Fountain, when, a few meters away, we ran into Emma. With a bright smile and a friendliness that invites you to follow her, she led us to her family's restaurant: Quirino. Founded in 1959 by her grandfather—who arrived from Sicily with his brother, carrying recipes and dreams—this place exudes tradition. It's not just a restaurant; it's a living piece of Roman and Sicilian history. Within its walls, fresh pasta is not a fad, but a legacy passed down from generation to generation. The restaurant's decor itself is part of the experience: every corner tells a story, showing how Quirino has adapted to each era and every life without losing his essence. It's like walking into a memory album where the walls hold the memories of all these years. We ate a delicious Carbonara with its spectacular guanchale and freshly made pasta, and some finger-licking taglietelle al ragu. They also gave us a piece of freshly baked apple pie, which Emma says is her mother's recipe that they are trying to replicate with one of the chefs! It must be said that it was delicious! It was then that we met Elisabetta, Emma's mother, who shared a story that left us speechless: her mother—Emma's grandmother—made a cannoli so extraordinary that Pope John Paul II was captivated by its flavor, making it his birthday cake year after year. And the surprise didn't end there. Chatting with Elisabetta, we discovered we had many things in common: her daughter is studying dentistry in Madrid, but her passion is the restaurant; my husband is a dentist, and so is his. So many coincidences made us feel at home, as if we had known each other all our lives. Our experience was simply fantastic: the warm service, the welcoming atmosphere, the aromas that enveloped the room, and, of course, the flavors… Each dish felt like a hug. We left feeling like we had experienced something unique. Quirino is not just a restaurant: it's a journey back in time, a bridge between Sicily and Rome, a place where stories are told through food… and even the walls have something to say. If you are lucky enough to be in the Eternal City, don't pass up the opportunity to experience it. We wholeheartedly recommend it. Tatty and Myriam.
06/08/2025: Carbonara is so-so...old-school atmosphere, but professional and knowledgeable waiters. Prices are reasonable for being right next to the Trevi Fountain.

16/08/2025: We booked for the evening of Ferragosto on the terrace, and unfortunately... a storm hit! The staff quickly resolved the issue, finding us a place indoors and managing to move us (and the other two couples affected by the bad weather) to other tables with a view as soon as possible. A charming place, efficient and meticulous service, and a dinner worth repeating. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about both the flavor pairings and the wine. The lake appetizer, trout, and pizzoccheri were all delicious. 100% recommended.
15/08/2025: This is the best restaurant anywhere near Lake Como. Food/wine- incredible. Atmosphere/views- incredible. Service- incredible. A worker who answered the phone personally picked us up in Bellagio to take us to the restaurant because we missed the shuttle. Maybe the best restaurant I’ve ever been on vacation.
