11/06/2025: As always, a nice and welcoming place, even if the furnishing style is a bit retro I have to say that they never miss a beat with the food, indeed always of excellent quality and with a truly special taste and it deserves a place among the best sushi in Modena as food quality, the service is always fast and they are very kind, as far as I'm concerned a place not to be missed if you are in Modena and you like sushi 🍣

01/06/2025: My partner and I celebrated his birthday here on April 8th. It was a perfect evening, the tasting menu (we had the full version but there is also a reduced version with a few less courses) is a succession of never banal flavors and unusual combinations, focused on the sea. Each dish is a contemporary work of art, also from an aesthetic point of view. In the dining room we were "pampered" by Beppe who made us feel at ease and explained all the dishes. Very well-stocked cellar. Compliments again to chef Perata, an authentic artist, who had the opportunity to briefly tell us the history of the restaurant, since we asked him, amazed, why it didn't have a Michelin star. He would fully deserve it. A spurcacciuna is a pampering that deserves it.

24/02/2025: My partner and I love oriental cuisine and, in particular, sushi. For this reason, at least once a week we go to our local restaurant or order takeaway. However, when, in addition to quality sushi, we want to treat ourselves to a special experience, we know perfectly well that there is no better place than Gold of Baessato: by far the best sushi and Japanese cuisine restaurant in Padua (I would even venture in Veneto). The products are of the highest quality, the environment is refined and elegant with attention to service and customer care. Congratulations in particular to Edoardo and all the staff, you are exceptional! See you soon.

31/05/2025: total disappointment, I ordered Cantonese rice, egg rolls, dumplings and, of all the only ones that were half saved were the egg rolls. I didn't even finish the Cantonese rice that would have been my main meal because it tasted of nothing, it was dry and totally tasteless (literally every bite tasted of nothing), the dumplings weren't that great and overall for what I paid, it's really not worth it. I was hoping that at least they would make the rice well since it was a Chinese restaurant, but nope, I didn't even finish the food because I couldn't take any more bites. I'm usually not a person who wastes food when cooking/ordering or eating from someone, I've always tried to finish even if I was full, but this was just unacceptable. I put it aside but I know I won't touch it again, next time maybe taste the food before giving it to customers... I don't usually leave reviews like that, but honestly if I wanted to eat badly I would cook it myself if I really wanted to. money wasted.

02/06/2025: Da amante del fusion, 8 1/2 è un ristorante di livello alto. Nulla a che vedere con i soliti posti all you can eat. E nonostante sia alla carta i prezzi sono accessibilissimi: abbiamo preso 4 piatti a testa + 2 coca cola / 66€ in due. Le porzioni x piatto sono abbondanti e la qualità delle materie prime è ottima! Sono riuscita a far mangiare al mio fidanzato diversi piatti che in altri ristoranti rifiutava. La location è semplice, intima. Ma se volete mangiare dell’ottimo sushi/cinese vi consiglio di andarci. Personale gentilissimo. Spero di tornarci.

29/04/2025: Both the sushi and the hospitality of the owner were a real delight. An excellent lunch break, definitely worth repeating! And then, for two vegans like my friend and myself, such good vegan sushi was a nice gift on a beautiful day dedicated to animal rights. Highly recommended!

15/05/2025: Really welcoming place, they were really kind and professional. It was a unique experience, not the classic dinner but a journey where you trust the chef and say what he proposes to you. An experience, obviously not suitable for everyone but for those who understand the sacrifice and passion behind their work. The chef was very polite even with people who were disrespectful during the experience, also because having booked 5 months ago and seeing another customer complaining the whole time because he wanted to smoke and was politely told not to do so out of respect for the other customers since it is not a classic dinner ruined the atmosphere a bit. But evidently this was not understood. The chef remained patient and was polite until the end.

11/06/2025: Abbiamo passato Una serata stupenda tra amiche… Abbiamo preso un antipasto quadrato Dove i sapori esplodevano in bocca, Gli spaghetti allo scoglio abbondanti e buonissimi e alla fine ascoltando il consiglio del cameriere simpaticissimo e bravissimo abbiamo preso le cozze SPETTACOLARI! Consiglio a tutti di provare questo ristorante perché una volta provato diventerà il vostro ristorante preferito! 05/06/2025: Siamo stati più volte ed ogni volta è una piacevole sorpresa. I piatti sono divini, sempre disponibili fuori menù interessanti.. personale gentilissimo, Gabriele è unico: bravissimo e molto molto simpatico!
