Ristorante Jia Yuan In Milano

The food was perfect, a lifesaver after not having Chinese food for two weeks. Even ordering blindly was a safe bet, and the flavors were incredibly authentic. However, I didn't quite understand the service. A blond-haired guy asked us, "Don't you need an aperitif?" on the first night. We were tourists and unfamiliar with European culture, so we assumed the aperitif was chargeable or something. Since we don't drink alcohol, we declined. At the time, this wasn't a problem. But on the second night, when we went back, a woman approached us. She was very friendly and asked if we wanted to try the aperitif. This was a stark contrast to the guy's question – one asked, "You don't need it, do you?" – which was the first thing that made me feel uncomfortable. The second unpleasant moment occurred on the second evening when we were finishing our meal. We had barely put down our chopsticks when the blond-haired guy immediately came over and asked, "Are you finished eating? May I clear away the dishes?" I was a little taken aback because we had just put down our chopsticks, and he immediately came to clear them away. It felt like he was trying to get rid of us. I don't know if this is a local Italian custom, but in a Chinese restaurant and within Chinese culture, this behavior seemed a bit strange. Aside from this guy, both dining experiences were generally very good; the food was excellent, but this guy made me feel uncomfortable.

I came to Italy for a 15-night trip. Personally, I really love pasta, and this place is my number one favorite among all the restaurants in Florence, Venice, and Milan. You can get a significant discount if you book through The Fork app. I was drinking Moretti beer and got the urge to ask if they had Baijiu, and even though it wasn't on the menu, they were selling it (7 Euros). I don't know the server's name, but they spoke English very calmly and well, so even with my English skills below kindergarten level, I could understand everything. There were so many items on the menu that it was difficult to order using the tablet, so I ordered verbally by showing them a screenshot I had taken beforehand, and they kindly accepted it. They explained everything so meticulously and kindly, from the volume of the drinks to the thickness of the rice noodles. I had such a wonderful time with such delicious food that I wanted to give a tip for the first time on my trip to Italy. "No coriander, less salt, please." If you ask them to leave out the cilantro and make it less salty, they really cook it perfectly so that anyone can enjoy it. If I could, I would love to pack some of the food to take back to Korea. Excellent traditional Chinese restaurant, friendly staff and very good food.

Fast service and generous portions for the first courses (except for the ravioli, which are served in portions of 4). Excellent food.

The chef's recommendations were all quite good; the stir-fried pork with chili was delicious 😋, the rice was good, and the stir-fried celery with tofu was also tasty. The pickled fish was just okay. The wine was also good. The takoyaki was so-so, it tasted like a mixture of potatoes and flour.

We ordered beef with potatoes and it was delicious! The customer service was excellent. I would definitely return to this restaurant if I had more time in Milan.

I always come here when I'm craving super spicy food! It's a nice place and the staff are very friendly. I recommend the mapo tofu and shuizhu beef. The portions are very generous, so it's perfect for sharing. They also have vegetarian and mildly spicy options, so there's something for everyone!

Great Mandarin restaurant with delicious food (not comparable to food in German Chinese restaurants). We would definitely eat here again.
