Sushiteca—often referred to as O.MA.CA.SÉ—is one of Milan's most recognizable addresses for those seeking authentic Japanese cuisine with a strong personal touch. Located in the Porta Genova area, it offers an experience that departs from the more traditional sushi restaurants, focusing on a more technical and contemporary cuisine while maintaining a traditional foundation.
The heart of the restaurant is the counter, where an almost artisanal approach is evident: the fish is handled with precision, and the menu includes both classic dishes and more elaborate preparations, with less conventional yet always balanced combinations. This isn't "straightforward" sushi, but a more thoughtful experience that rewards those already familiar with Japanese cuisine.
The atmosphere is intimate and orderly, with a calm atmosphere and attentive, often direct, service, in keeping with the type of experience offered. Over time, it has built a loyal clientele, thanks in part to a menu that goes beyond traditional sushi, including hot dishes and more creative preparations.
Don't miss: chirashi, off-menu dishes, and counter-service dishes.

Incredible place, starting with the 100% Japanese staff, who are incredibly kind and professional. Aside from the standard salmon, everything else is top-notch, from the fish to the desserts. A must-try.

This restaurant serves the best sushi and is one of the best in Milan. The monkfish liver was also very delicious.

Excellent Omacase sushi in Milan! Delicious nigiri and fish. Not a huge selection, but what they offer is excellent! Recommended.

Omacasé is an excellent Japanese restaurant, above average in Milan—in fact, decidedly high quality—but still reasonably priced. We tried the hossimaki and the chirashi special, which was especially delicious. The red bean tiramisu was also very good, but the ice cream with edamame jam wasn't as good, which I found to be bland. Still, for €40, you can leave the table feeling full and satisfied.

everything was super tasty!! i would suggest not ordering too many warm rice dishes, they are good, but extremely filling (unless u have a big appetite lol), i would have gone for more sashimi and sushi! the service was super nice and the atmosphere was very calming

Intimate, quiet, and peaceful location
We ordered several appetizers and then dug into the nigiri and sashimi; next time, we'll definitely go straight for the latter.
Cute to try the chirashi.
Very friendly staff.

It's now become a go-to place.
Good sushi, a casual yet elegant atmosphere, and a good selection of sake.
Everything is as it should be, a little slice of Japan in Milan. Unique dishes depending on the market. Seeing the chef work live is always the icing on the cake. We've been coming here quite often now.
