Without any half measures one of the best Japanese in the area. Only a la carte formula: better this way because here the quality is superior. Truly succulent traditional dishes. Must try. Super. Prices aligned (high) but for what you eat it is all appropriate. It will become the Japanese for special occasions. Top.
11/05/2025: We discovered Kokoro by chance and we were immediately intrigued. The experience confirmed our high expectations: the quality of the raw materials is perceived in every single dish, the workmanship and careful attention to flavor combinations makes every tasting unique. The intimate atmosphere and professional care of the service makes you feel at home. I recommend trying this authentic trip to Japan, we will definitely return in the future!

16/07/2025: We had lunch there, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The menu has been changed and you can now only order by phone, which is inconvenient, especially when your battery is running low. The dishes arrived very late, despite being marked "ready" on the app. We had to ask for soy sauce at the counter, and it was brought to us only after about 10 minutes by a waitress who took it from an already vacated table. The sashimi was lukewarm, the shrimp tempura cold and smelled unpleasantly of old oil. The portions and presentation of the dishes differed greatly from the photos on the menu. Furthermore, we sat for a long time with a pile of dirty dishes on the table that no one came to clear—this also contributed to a bad impression. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

28/06/2025: Ieri sera io e la mia signora abbiamo avuto l'idea di cenare con il ramen e abbiamo scelto hokusai. Voglio precisare che ho fatto tanti viaggi in Giappone e ho soggiornato anche per diversi mesi a Tokyo, quindi conosco assai bene la cucina giapponese. Il ramen che ci hanno servito altro non era che pasta scotta in un'insipida brodaglia del tutto immangiabile, il tutto servito con due gamberi in tempora e una frittatina; i gamberi in tempura o qualsiasi altro fritto in tempura deve risultare croccante e asciutto mentre il tutto era unto e bisunto con la pastella che si staccava dai gamberi, la frittatina o non so che diavolo di accidente fosse era rifritta non il classico sapore amarognolo del cibo bruciacchiato e rifritto. Faccio inoltre presente che avevo chiesto l'aggiunta di un uovo sodo alla maniera giapponese ma hanno aggiunto solo mezzo uovo sodo cotto come si fa in Italia, per il mezzo uovo devi comunque pagare un supplemento. Ho appena fatto in tempo a sputare il tutto nel fazzoletto altrimenti avrei vomitato dopodiché mi sono presentato alla cassa e abbiamo pagato per questi insani intrugli la bella cifra di € 22,00. Quando mi hanno chiesto perché non ho mangiato ho espresso tutto il mio disappunto, ma in un ristorante serio quando il cliente ordina solo un piatto e non tocca cibo di solito neanche gli si chiede di pagare, ma qui stiamo ai minimi livelli e non hanno nemmeno la più pallida idea di che cosa sia la ristorazione.

I want to point out that I have traveled to Japan many times and even stayed in Tokyo for several months, so I know Japanese cuisine very well. The ramen they served us was nothing more than overcooked pasta in a tasteless, completely inedible broth, all served with two tempura shrimps and a small omelette; the tempura shrimps or any other tempura fried food must be crunchy and dry while the whole thing was greasy and oily with the batter coming off the shrimps, the small omelette or whatever the hell it was was refried, not the classic bitter taste of burnt and refried food. I also point out that I had asked for the addition of a hard-boiled egg in the Japanese style but they only added half a hard-boiled egg cooked as they do in Italy, for the half egg you still have to pay a supplement. I just had time to spit it all out in my handkerchief otherwise I would have thrown up then I went to the cashier and we paid the nice sum of € 22.00 for these insane concoctions. When they asked me why I didn't eat I expressed all my disappointment, but in a serious restaurant when the customer orders only one dish and doesn't touch the food they usually don't even ask him to pay, but here we are at the lowest levels and they don't even have the faintest idea of ​​what catering is.

Nice environment with detached tables, not the usual tablets with a hallucinating confusion but classic à la carte menu, very friendly operator, excellent quality food and with few sauces that mask the taste a lot and for me they are unbearable fresh food and I repeat excellent quality reasonable prices, and after you have paid they also offer you a quality drink that too and not the classic Limon cino, so we will definitely return!

25/07/2025: Siamo clienti da molto tempo e riteniamo si tratti di un buon locale dove gustare street food giapponese. Ultimamente però è cambiato il menu e sono stati eliminati alcuni dei migliori piatti (almeno secondo i nostri gusti). Decisamente i prezzi sono aumentati e le porzioni sono state ridotte. Tra l'altro l'ultima volta abbiamo provato un po' di disagio perchè il volume della musica era un po' troppo alto e il personale di sala era cambiato per cui, pur essendo sempre cordiale, ci è sembrato un po' distratto e svogliato. In ogni caso rimane un ristorante da provare ma, secondo noi, forse da frequentare con minore intensità rispetto al passato.

An illumination of flavors, atmosphere and attention to detail. Unfortunately, my recent visit had a very different flavor. And I'm not just talking about the food. - Disappointing cuisine The menu has changed (as it should be) but what arrived on the table had nothing of the care, quality or originality that I remembered. Ordinary dishes, without soul. I didn't find the flavors that had struck me and, what's worse, the new ones had no personality. A change of chef, perhaps? - Cocktails? A regression I ordered the same cocktails that two years ago had amazed me for their balance and originality (plus a new one). This time, however, they were cloying, heavy, and really unpleasant. The block of ice remains very large compared to the glass, but if before the rest was something extraordinary, now it seems only an aesthetic expedient to hide the small quantity. Here too, one wonders: is the bartender the same? - Digital menu: beautiful but not very useful The new menu with the animated background has its visual appeal, but lacks clarity. A step backwards in terms of user experience: those looking for flavors and combinations find themselves having to navigate an interface that is not very intuitive. Before, however, cocktails were even organized by flavors (for example, there was the Umami section, etc.) - Service: between unprofessionalism and nervousness The real blow to the heart, however, was the service. A waiter (glasses, graying beard, blue eyes) was surly and impatient from the first exchange. No explanation, no advice, only monosyllabic answers and an annoyed tone. Too bad, because two years ago we had been followed by a colleague who was able to illustrate and enhance each course, recommending cocktails to pair with it with professionalism and passion. - Online reservation: not a table but at the counter Perhaps it went so badly because the situation worsened as soon as we arrived, when, despite the reservation of a table, they wanted to make us sit at the counter - near the taps - claiming it was the "VIP" place. At my repeated request for a normal table (the place was empty!), we were finally granted a table with a limit of 90 minutes. The attitude of the one who was then our waiter, from that moment, became visibly unfriendly. "I don't understand what's wrong with the counter." - he asked me, in a surly tone (and then ... is there really a need to explain the preference?). In any case, from then on, no smile, no kindness. But be careful: only with us. With the table next to ours the same waiter was even joking. - Bitter cherry During dinner, the back of the metal chair tore my shirt. The same happened to the girl sitting next to us. It was the fault of the furniture, of course, but a detail that does not help improve the overall perception. - Positive notes It must be said: the barman and a second waiter were kind and helpful. And in the end, after paying 135 euros, we were even offered a mini-shot of sake each. A small gesture, which I appreciated. In short: an experience that I had in my heart turned into a disappointment. It is clear that something has changed (perhaps the staff, perhaps the management) but what is most sad is to see a place with such potential lose its shine and soul. A sincere piece of advice to the staff: take care of the details like you used to. Excellence is not just in the dish, but in the whole. Because it is truly a shame to see an experience that could still shine go out like this.
