The tagliolini were sublime, as were the mixed antipasto and chocolate cake. All this in a truly peaceful oasis, extremely welcoming, and with incredibly kind staff. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who wants to enjoy the food and wine of San Daniele del Friuli! Highly recommended!

22/11/2025: I had dinner with my wife when the restaurant opened. The food was excellent, although the prices were occasionally inflated and the titles misleading, or in my experience, didn't reflect what was actually served. We ordered a mixed appetizer for two, which included 2 artichoke quarters in oil, 100g of prosciutto, 2 dried tomatoes in oil, 4 olives, 2 mozzarella braids, a slice of bell pepper cut in half in vinegar, 2 pieces of fresh cheese, and 3/4 pickled onions. We don't think it was worth the €22 price tag. The prosciutto was exceptional, but the appetizer was a mix of anonymous ingredients and those of perceived good quality. No complaints about the first courses, which were good and reasonably priced. I'd return for those. I had an unpleasant surprise for dessert. The menu listed artisanal fiordilatte ice cream with a warm berry cream. I received two small scoops with a topping that looked and tasted industrial, cold, and made of berries (I assume the same as the panna cotta). There was no hint or hint of fruit. This "joke" cost me €7, which I honestly find excessive, both for the quantity and for the fact that a seemingly industrial, cold product was used in a dessert passed off as entirely homemade. My companion, on the other hand, had a chocolate cake, which, despite the slightly inflated price, more than justified its price. It pleasantly surprised us. The service was attentive and competent, but with one small oversight that left me perplexed: When I asked for more bread, I was brought a basket much smaller than the first, with cold, stale bread, when the first basket was actually warm, fresh, and plentiful. These are small details, but they send clear messages to discerning customers. Finally, I'd like to mention that reception was a bit annoyed when they announced we didn't have a reservation. I understand the convenience of making a reservation given the limited space, but the lack of one doesn't justify such dismissive behavior. If this can't be avoided, it's better to change the service and make it reservation-only.

23/11/2025: We stopped to taste San Daniele, and ordered two full menus. Excellent prosciutto, delicious cheeses, and pickled vegetables. The staff was very friendly, even offering us a nice limoncello and chocolates. Highly recommended. Excellent value for money.

10/11/2025: First time and last time for us, a good meeting place for a drink or to eat some San Daniele prosciutto. Our experience was pleasant, the prosciutto was good, but it's a shame the cheese board was a bit meager; I would have added a few more slices. A bit pricey: €108 for two cheese boards, mixed cheeses, and focaccia, with a drink per person (4 proseccos and 2 bottles of water). Some say you pay for quality, and I saw it on the receipt!

07/12/2025: This charming inn is located on a small street in the center of San Daniele. The osteria is truly beautiful, well-maintained, and the attention to detail makes for a truly enjoyable dining experience. The food is beautifully presented and pleasing to the palate. However, there is one small downside: since it's a very small place, their website specifies that reservations are recommended. However, I received no response to either my phone calls or my email reservation. In the end, we decided to stop by to see if we could dine, and we were delighted to be able to.

14/12/2025: I'm writing without any intention of controversy, but simply because, reading the manager's comments, I see that they're very intelligent and attentive. Arriving at a restaurant at 8:30 PM and having to pick up your order almost half an hour later makes you feel a bit "abandoned," especially since the dining room was only half full. Even though the maître d' apologized because he was busy with a complicated quote with other customers at the register, the wait didn't make me feel welcome.

07/12/2025: A refined and original atmosphere. Excellent service. I really enjoyed the food, from appetizers to dessert, with many seasonal dishes, tasty and refined. I had a wonderful evening. I also appreciated the good music in the dining room. The price was more than fair for the quality.

24/11/2025: We were in the area for work, and went for dinner on a Monday evening as soon as we arrived in town. It was a pleasant stop for a bite to eat. The dishes were very tasty, fresh, and carefully prepared. We had tagliatelle with venison ragù and gnocchi with Gorgonzola, plus two delicious roast beef fillets accompanied by tasty potatoes. We finished with their tiramisu, which was a blast. The white wine (Friulian) and the house red were also very good. The service was quick, attentive, and very personable.

07/10/2025: Beautiful location and excellent dishes made with care, following the Friulian and San Daniele traditions. Always a great experience, the focaccia is delicious.

23/09/2025: I've been to this restaurant several times. The prosciutto is definitely top-notch, among the best in the area. Excellent first courses and exquisite desserts. Generous portions. Fast and courteous service. I've never used the rooms.

09/12/2025: Nice, simple place. Delicious food. The owner and his staff are amazing! When you want to eat good raw fish with delicious, high-quality sides, this is the place.
