03/11/2025: I was a little disappointed by the quality of the ham. It's often touted as being an excellent, high-end ham, but it's actually quite good! A good ham, but nothing extraordinary. Everything was made for business, as they say. I speak as an insider.

12/11/2025: I'm in Fagagna for work, and my bible "Osterie d'Italia" (2016) recommends "Da Fenile," praising its authentic cuisine with local products. Of course, I test the reliability of the guide and the trattoria. I must admit that reality is better than theory. Honest and authentic hospitality. Cleanliness and simplicity in this trattoria, bar, and tobacconist in an isolated hamlet of San Daniele del Friuli. But above all, THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD. Besides the classic San Daniele (really good), I enjoyed the excellent homemade giardiniera and the gnocchetti as a first course. But above all, the stuffed duck was almost better than the one my mom made. To finish, a bit of Moltrasio with polenta, a good house wine, and I left feeling really happy (as well as full). Thanks to the young waitress (so energetic and helpful) and to the fabulous owner, with whom we had a pleasant chat. P.S. The price is absolutely fair. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

10/11/2025: First time and last time for us, a good meeting place for a drink or to eat some San Daniele prosciutto. Our experience was pleasant, the prosciutto was good, but it's a shame the cheese board was a bit meager; I would have added a few more slices. A bit pricey: €108 for two cheese boards, mixed cheeses, and focaccia, with a drink per person (4 proseccos and 2 bottles of water). Some say you pay for quality, and I saw it on the receipt!

03/11/2025: The atmosphere is nice, but perhaps too many tables, a bit cramped. The food was good, but the portions were very limited. For example, the mixed appetizer for two seemed like it was for one, and the main course was more of a side dish than a meat dish.

19/10/2025: A small osteria in the heart of San Daniele. Delicious, melt-in-your-mouth ham and delicious cheeses. The tagliolini are excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous.

23/09/2025: I've been to this restaurant several times. The prosciutto is definitely top-notch, among the best in the area. Excellent first courses and exquisite desserts. Generous portions. Fast and courteous service. I've never used the rooms.

14/09/2025: The best. It surpasses ALL the deli meats in the supermarkets: in fact, you won't find it in the malls. Hams hung on wooden scaffolding like they have been for thousands of years. Go there. Money well spent. They also have other good deli meats, but the prosciutto crudo is beyond.

Sergio and his mother welcomed us warmly, passionately sharing the history and production of their products. The hams were exceptional and the atmosphere was family-friendly. 04/11/2025: The ham was amazing, the frico was full of cheese but you could barely taste the onions and potatoes, the pasta with raw ham was good, the sautéed potatoes were a bit overcooked.

21/09/2025: We stopped in by chance because, passing through San Daniele, we couldn't miss trying the prosciutto crudo. The place is a bit basic, but we liked it that way. They accepted our large dog. The prosciutto melted in your mouth, but everything else was delicious too. I recommend it for anyone who wants to eat well. The staff is very friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable.

24/08/2025: We happened upon it by chance and ate some excellent ham accompanied by both fresh and mature cheeses. We were very satisfied with both the service and the products. If we ever come back to this area again, we will definitely stop by.
