08/09/2025: Unfortunately, it was an extremely bad, negative, and even dangerous experience!! We arrived at the restaurant hungry, and since many tables were already taken, we assumed it must be a good place and sat down right away (Google reviews also suggested the same). However, that’s when the farce began. The first appetizer we ordered was extremely greasy, and among other things, we were literally served rice chips, which seemed a bit ridiculous. Still, that wasn’t too terrible in itself. Then we ordered the rest of the food, emphasizing that the pasta for the children should be prepared only with meat (without vegetables or any other additions, especially eggs due to one child’s allergy). The first unprofessional thing happened when they served my wife’s dish while the rest of us had to keep waiting. Fine, we thought. Then they brought the kids’ pasta, which clearly had scrambled egg pieces and vegetables in it. We pointed out again that we had ordered it without vegetables and especially without eggs, stressing that our child has an egg allergy and that they must be very careful because it’s dangerous for him. We asked if they could please prepare spaghetti without eggs or anything that had come into contact with them. The waiter assured us it was no problem and would only take a few minutes. A few minutes later, a waitress came back with the dish and told us it was egg-free — while we could literally see egg pieces in it with our own eyes. THIS IS EXTREMELY IRRESPONSIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND DANGEROUS BEHAVIOR!! I immediately stood up, told them how dangerous this was, that I didn’t want to eat there, canceled everything that hadn’t yet been served, and asked to pay only for what we had already consumed. The young lady at the cashier was very kind, removed the canceled dishes from the bill, apologized, but that in no way makes up for what happened before — because of which I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. No matter how hungry you are, walk a little further down the street and eat at any other restaurant instead.

20/09/2025: I stopped by this morning, September 19th. It was around 11:30 a.m. I wanted to get a dessert. Inside, there was only one customer who was chatting amicably with the girl handing out the bread. I approached the counter and walked past him, hoping someone would notice me, but nothing... Since I was the only customer inside, I didn't get a queue ticket. Meanwhile, I realized that the guy before me was friends with the girl serving the bread, who even wanted to give him the bread in different bags depending on the type he requested. He told her he didn't need it and that they were all for him anyway. Meanwhile, given the gratuitous chatter, the place began to fill up, and the people crowding in began taking queue numbers, sending them back to the entrance. After making every possible pleasantry to her friend, the girl serving the bread asked who was next to be served (even though I had been ahead of her for quite a while). A customer (who arrived well after me and stayed well away, near the entrance) slyly shouted, "I have the next number..." Since I was glued to the dessert display case, I calmly explained to the girl that I had been there long before and, since there was no one there, I didn't get a ticket. By now the place must have had another 5 or 6 new customers. The girl told me that in this case, she would serve those with a number first and then me... At this point, I said okay and left without buying anything. And with the certainty, moreover, of never returning to that place. I don't understand how they can let certain staff work with the public... Terrible experience, as I said, I will NEVER go back there AGAIN.

28/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato con amici, vasta scelta di piatti, ottima la qualità dei salumi, carme ottima e ben preparata, personale gentile e prezzi adeguato alla qualità. Bella location immersa del verde e tranquillità. Veramente bravi. Ci torneremo di sicuro.

13/07/2025: Il posto è molto bello ma la cucina da incubo, organizzati malissimo, abbiamo aspettato 2 ore per ricevere le portate, che sono arrivate sbagliate (hanno consegnato i secondi al posto dei primi), il pollo era crudo e gocciolava il sangue, camerieri scortesi. Mai più!!

05/10/2025: Excellent food, very friendly staff, mixed fried food, fabulous starters, exquisite Monferrato agnolotti, fantastic Gorgonzola gnocchi. Wide selection of mushrooms.

06/10/2025: My boyfriend and I decided to go to Roadhouse on Sunday because they advertise so much that they have ALL YOU CAN EAT BBQ ribs... The first portion (10 ribs) was burnt, but we thought it was an oversight, so we didn't worry too much until the other portions arrived, which I don't know how they had the nerve to serve us... here are the photos.

28/09/2025: I'm putting the minimum but I'd like to put even less, at least -10. 30 minutes to be served. I ordered chicken wings and got a crispy chicken sandwich. I didn't have time to wait another 20 minutes to eat. So I had it wrapped. They didn't even wrap it for me, then I paid 20 euros. Disastrous service!!! McDonald's is better for half the money, terrible.

09/10/2025: The hamburgers at Hamerica's in Trieste are a true feast for food lovers! The meat is juicy, perfectly seared, and full of flavor, and the bun is tender but not falling apart. The toppings are fresh and well-chosen, and the whole thing works perfectly. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is modern and pleasant—a place you'll want to return to!

19/09/2025: We ordered from Deliveroo, and waited a good 1.5 hours for this cake, which was completely different from the photo (I'm attaching a photo of how it looks on Just Eat compared to what we received). I also asked a friend who had gotten the same cake locally, and she said it was much bigger. These mini slices don't even make a normal slice of cake, and I paid 6.90. I understand it's a Friday night, but I can't even do that. Maybe it's a different story at the restaurant, but I definitely won't be ordering takeout again.

06/10/2025: Quick service. Good sushi and hot Chinese dishes. Convenient for the station.

28/09/2025: In my opinion, the current crisis has shaken the "all you can eat" philosophy a bit. I don't go there often, and I've generally had a bad experience lately. In this case, the food is good, but the quality and quantity could use some work. I was almost hungry when I left. They messed up at least half of the dishes we ordered, bringing other items we hadn't asked for, while others were missing, like the dragon clouds, which are a simple and inexpensive dish. The crudités were plentiful, but they didn't make you want to eat them. They weren't very tasty. In fact, some of the fish had a strong, pungent smell. The fried chicken and beef were good, and of good quality. But, well, I wouldn't go back.

30/09/2025: As soon as we arrived, we got in line and noticed people complaining about having ordered tens of minutes earlier and still waiting. Minutes passed, chaos ensued in the kitchen, and then an employee came over and said he wasn't taking orders and we had to wait for someone else... No comment.

27/09/2025: What a mess! They're clearly having trouble managing orders, partly because the fryer broke. They announce a ten-minute order hold, which becomes almost twenty. Then, to the first person to order, they announce that the seasonal piadina is no longer available, despite a digital menu that can be changed with a click. Let's hope for a bad day.

16/07/2025: We were very disappointed with this restaurant. We came as a family—one of us is vegetarian—and we politely asked if it was possible to order the set menu for two and, for the vegetarian, choose something à la carte (since there were very few vegetarian options). The response was surprisingly rude: we were told we had to sit at separate tables if we wanted to order something else. We explained that we were a family and simply wanted to eat together, but the waitress responded coldly and curtly, then turned and left without offering any alternatives. Any internal rule of a restaurant can be communicated respectfully, if they truly care about their customers and the reviews they leave. It would have been enough to say, for example, "I'm sorry, I understand that you're a family, but unfortunately we have these rules. I hope you understand." A little politeness would have been enough to find a solution. Instead, we had a very negative experience: terrible service, a cold and unwelcoming atmosphere. That evening, there were only two tables occupied—the place seemed deserted and devoid of energy. We left without even trying the food. I don't recommend it at all.

Any rule can be communicated with respect, especially if you care about your customers and the image of your restaurant. Something like: "I'm sorry, I understand your situation, but unfortunately we have this policy" would’ve been enough. A little kindness would have made all the difference. The place itself was another disappointment: the room was dark and gloomy, nothing like the bright, cozy photos shown online. The restaurant is hidden in a shadowy side street near the main square — not welcoming at all. And the waitress… instead of greeting us, she walked around as if annoyed by our very presence, almost irritated that tourists dared to enter. There were barely any locals — a red flag in itself. We left without even trying the food. Extremely negative experience. We won’t return and cannot recommend it.

22/08/2025: Delivery was super late, but we were fooled every time we called. And we're not far from the store. We won't be ordering from here again.

01/05/2025: Un posto molto carino nel cuore pulsante di Cavana, per cui l'atmosfera è vivace e frizzante. Il personale è sottoposto al grosso afflusso turistico, ma nonostante ciò, ieri abbiamo trovato un giovane cameriere disponibile e simpaticissimo, pronto alla battuta. Consiglio di sedersi nel piacevole dehors per un tipico "capo in b" (€ 2,50 + dragée di cioccolata), accompagnato da un baby donut rosa (€ 1,30). Ho molto apprezzato che abbiano disponibilità di dolcetti in formato "mini", qualcosa che non tutti i bar propongono. Pertanto, esperienza positiva!

01/05/2025: A place like many in Trieste with average coffee and croissants. What makes this place special is the attitude of the staff. 1. I go in and say "good morning" - no response 2. I wait at the counter to order a coffee, there are 7 waiters but no one even turns their head while the barman is chatting with his acquaintances. It's not the first time a situation like this has happened. But it doesn't matter, does it? Both customers and tourists are always there given the central location. If a customer never comes back, nothing changes. Really sad.

25/10/2025: Traditional atmosphere and historic osmiza (traditional tavern) of the area. The menu is more varied than the classic osmiza (traditional tavern) with traditional local dishes such as porcini mushroom sandwich, gnocchi, and jota. The cheese tasting plate is also excellent, and paired with a hearty Vitovska (a local wine) will whet your appetite. Nearby, trails wind through the lesser-visited and spectacular Csrso, with a fascinating former onyx quarry just steps away. A pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere.

18/10/2025: Excellent food and service, with affordable prices! We've been coming here for years and feel right at home! The wine is fantastic, and the plum gnocchi are a must-try. One of the best places ever! I highly recommend it. Antonio and Danila

08/08/2025: Very good place for coffee or a quick/easy lunch. They served coffee, beer and drinks. Very good quality of service and overall a good experience. The only thing I could complain about is the toilets which were hard to lock and were located in an unusual place.

16/08/2025: We stopped to buy some decent pastries... nothing memorable. But the most disarming thing was the crudeness of the clerk who served us... rude and uncouth, but how can you put someone with that attitude at the counter?!? Never again.

16/08/2025: Change the employees. The sales assistants behind the counter are terrible: zero kindness and even annoyed. The desserts, on the other hand, are 10/10. Kudos to the quality and choice of ingredients.
