22/10/2025: I only went because another piadina shop was full, as I've had a bad experience there several times in the past. Last night, repeat. Rude; extremely slow even when the place was empty; pitiful piadinas; truly miserable; incredibly expensive for what you offer. Furthermore, after waiting 30 minutes with the place empty, they even got the ingredients wrong.

03/01/2026: Came at 14:30, did not wait for a table, service was amazing and enjoyed Aperol Spritz with amazing Zucchini feta balls with tzatziki sauce, delicious Linguine with tomato sauce and Carbonara with bacon.

02/01/2026: Very bad service, there was no room inside and the waiter told us we had to sit outside. We said okay, and we waited outside for 20 minutes to be served…

05/02/2026: We went to this restaurant for the first time and were absolutely amazed. The food was outstanding, with a wide variety of sushi and noodles, so there is truly something for everyone. The all-you-can-eat option for $12 is incredible and offers excellent value for money. Their concept to prevent food waste is thoughtful and very well implemented. The staff was extremely kind and attentive, making us feel very welcome. Overall, one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited when it comes to price and quality.

31/01/2026: Compared to previous years it has lost a bit of quality and the portions are much smaller.

11/01/2026: Everything is always good at this pastry shop; if it's always crowded, there must be a reason. This winter, even the outside area has a roof, so it's easier to find a seat, even with a coat on. Perfect for Sunday mornings.

19/12/2025: Unprepared and disorganized staff. Decaf espresso macchiato €1.80!!! I paid at the register after waiting... Wrong change... argument to explain that I was right... UNPOSSIBLE. Let's forget about it...

16/07/2025: We were very disappointed with this restaurant. We came as a family — one of us is vegetarian — and kindly asked if two of us could take the set menu, while the vegetarian could order à la carte (as the vegetarian options were extremely limited). The response was surprisingly rude: we were told we had to sit at different tables if we wanted to order differently. We explained we were a family and simply wanted to dine together, but the waitress answered coldly and rigidly, then turned around and walked away without offering any alternative. Any rule can be communicated with respect, especially if you care about your customers and the image of your restaurant. Something like: "I'm sorry, I understand your situation, but unfortunately we have this policy" would’ve been enough. A little kindness would have made all the difference. The place itself was another disappointment: the room was dark and gloomy, nothing like the bright, cozy photos shown online. The restaurant is hidden in a shadowy side street near the main square — not welcoming at all. And the waitress… instead of greeting us, she walked around as if annoyed by our very presence, almost irritated that tourists dared to enter. There were barely any locals — a red flag in itself. We left without even trying the food. Extremely negative experience. We won’t return and cannot recommend it.

Any internal rule of a restaurant can be communicated respectfully, if they truly care about their customers and the reviews they leave. It would have been enough to say, for example, "I'm sorry, I understand that you're a family, but unfortunately we have these rules. I hope you understand." A little politeness would have been enough to find a solution. Instead, we had a very negative experience: terrible service, a cold and unwelcoming atmosphere. That evening, there were only two tables occupied—the place seemed deserted and devoid of energy. We left without even trying the food. I don't recommend it at all.

31/12/2025: Another great place for breakfast in Trieste centro. Solid cappuccio, and very good croissant. The Sacher torte slice is delicious, nicely moist. A bit on the pricey side (for my taste), but still very highly recommended.

26/12/2025: Friendly staff, good looking cakes and sandwiches, small pizzas. And good IPA and Hugo too.

13/12/2025: Terrible experience, unfortunately the kindness of the staff in the dining room is cruelly and horribly highlighted by the bad manners of the staff at the cash register and at the bar.

25/10/2025: No heating in October! It was freezing cold in the room. All they gave us was a horrible, scratchy wool blanket!

06/10/2025: This hotel sucks. The staff is incompetent, rude, dirty, and RACIST. I recommend not staying here because it was TERRIBLE, especially the owner, who should be ashamed. Go to another hotel, trust this review.

18/01/2026: Very expensive restaurant for the quality of food they offer. Place setting 3.2€/person. 2 starters, one main course, a glass of wine, sparkling water and coca cola in a plastic bottle total 82€. Food of substandard quality. I do not recommend.

13/12/2025: Very fresh fish. Overall, we had a good time. €3.20 per person for the cover charge: EXCESSIVE for a Michelin-starred restaurant, not for fishing tourism.

10/09/2025: Please don't order online here!! Warning! I'm placing an online order around August 22nd. The coffee grinder with coffee tins with a birthday message. The order took a considerable amount of time to arrive and unfortunately arrived just too late as a gift. My partner then received the gift. The result was the wrong package, no birthday message, and dented cans. My partner was disappointed. I then had to follow up a hundred times and received no response. Then I received a reply, saying they were sending the correct one. So, after more than 3.5 weeks, I received the correct one, and the invoice showed a €0 refund. So, I thought they were sending the cup as a gesture of thanks for the inconvenience of poor customer service, the wrong product, no birthday message, and the dented cup. Suddenly, an Illy delivery service was there to pick up the cup. This again surprised and disappointed my partner, and therefore me as well. I then emailed to say that, since nothing had been communicated, they were allowed to keep the cup. I received the following response: In other words, please never order anything from here!!!!!! Dear Willem, After receiving your photos confirming the error in your order, it is our responsibility to retrieve the incorrect item so we can send you the correct product. If a gift or commercial gesture is being provided, our customer service will explicitly inform you of this. Disposing of the packaging will not prevent the item from being collected.
