Mr. Crowley In Trieste

Terrible experience regarding the service. Group of 7, total €150 and a nice... They don't keep separate bills, and we don't have cash... how can we do it? Their response... **Guys, do the bank transfer between yourselves** Okay, they wrote it on the menu (on the last page, and if we'd read it, we'd have changed venues), but this doesn't exist. Everyone pays by debit card these days, and we have to adapt to these situations by keeping separate bills. I also understand that they charge a percentage on each transaction, but on a €25 per person expense?? Come on... unreasonable. I could understand it for a €2-3 expense, but I can't justify it for a €25 expense. Bottom line: we ate well, but due to the service, we won't be returning.

Very nice and welcoming place, very large and tasty sandwiches, fair prices. The Lubjanske are unique and delicious! I recommend it!

I occasionally stop by to pick up some take-out sandwiches to eat at home. They're precise about pick-up times, and in my opinion, they're among the best sandwiches in Trieste. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I've gone there many times as a group, after training, each time bringing between five and ten people, sometimes even more. The food is good, plentiful, and the beers are excellent too. Unfortunately, the waitress who serves the tables always has an air of superiority and tries to show she's in charge, treating people roughly; we always let it go, even though several of the group turned up their noses. The last time, with the place practically empty (only two tables with two people each were occupied), after booking for ten people, we arrived, half an hour later, with seven of us because three of them had had problems. The usual waitress made us feel the pinch by violently separating the two tables she had joined, banging around a bit because we had obviously made her do extra work and wasted time. Only because we had a foreign guest with us that evening did we say nothing and stay there; otherwise, we would have left immediately. Since scenes like this, inappropriate jokes, problems with separate bills, etc. They always happened again with this same waitress (which had never happened in the past with the other waitresses there, all of whom were very nice), we will reluctantly not return; what a shame.

Great service, super nice and friendly waitress, excellent sandwiches and lots of excellent beer...

Fabulous. Excellent food. Worth it.
