Dropped in for a spritz and was peckish. So asked for an antipasto tray. This is what arrived and every item on it was so delicious! A must try if you are in Muggia. It’s an easy ferry trip from Trieste.

Beautiful place, we had a fantastic pancake and a really good tiramisu. Kudos to the owners.

A stroll through Muggia. The marina, the castle, the historic center, and you find yourself near the town hall in Piazza Guglielmo Marconi. A moment's rest, and in a corner lies the Antico Caffè Marconi. The colorful chalkboard catches our attention. We then discover that the café has reopened after at least four months of closure for expansion and expansion work. A new section is dedicated to food, and albeit tentatively, chef Giada delighted us with her first dishes. A "Bis di Mantecati" (Two Mantecati), impeccable with cod, and delicate with snapper, served with lamb's lettuce, whole yellow datterini tomatoes, and Taggiasca olives. The pairing of Friulian San Daniele prosciutto with buffalo mozzarella on a bed of lamb's lettuce was a real hit. The "Bun with octopus, cherry tomatoes, and stracciatella" was well-balanced. All washed down with a good mug of beer. To finish, a macchiato with Hausbrandt coffee. Courtesy, friendliness, and attentive service. The wait is a pleasant interlude between passing by and chatting. Recommended!

Watermelon, feta, and Taggiasca olives is one of the specials of the day: a special combination that I thoroughly enjoyed at this lovely restaurant in Muggia's main square. The owner's courtesy and friendliness are the added bonus that makes all the difference. See you soon, I promise!

It's in the small main square of Mugglia. Google maps is confusing. The easiest way to get there is from the port. It's very cozy to sit on the terrace. The lasagne is very delicious. The waitress is not the cheerful, chatty type.
