A truly delightful place, very good food, and very kind staff. We felt truly pampered and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

31/01/2026: We tried this trattoria for lunch on a Saturday. We stumbled upon it purely by chance, and it turned out to be one of the most satisfying lunches we've ever had. From the welcome to the service, everything was excellent. The variety of dishes is truly hard to find, and the dishes we sampled were nothing short of exquisite. We only had to give it 5 stars because 6 wasn't possible.

15/11/2025: I'll start by saying that I'm usually a creature of habit when I order takeout. For a change, we decided to try Giaguaro, and the experience was more than satisfying. The pizza is good and well-topped, and I've tried the salad bar practically everywhere in the city, and I thought it was delicious. Quality ingredients expertly combined. Well done! The fried eggplant is a must-try!

03/10/2025: Delicious homemade products for takeout. They have everything from yogurt to aged cheeses; the ricotta is sublime. Very crowded on Sunday lunchtime, but well-organized.
14/09/2025: Traditional dishes with authentic flavors.
The herb-filled Cjarsons, frico, and goulash are excellent.
The desserts are also delicious, including strudel and fried forest fruit tart. Highly recommended.

11/03/2026: We ordered a porcini mushroom pizza, but instead received a regular mushroom pizza... It was cold and tasted like a frozen pizza.
We also ordered a chicken steak, which cost €13, but it was really a small portion.
We paid for the bread (a sliced sandwich costs €2.20).
Very disappointed, we definitely won't be back!
08/03/2026: I ordered a Regina pizza to go with baked potatoes (€1.50), literally 10 pieces of potatoes. The pizza itself is good, but at this point, I recommend going in!

08/12/2025: I had dinner last night at Vecio Buffet Marasciutti, a restaurant that's been open since the early 1900s and is a true Trieste institution.
I don't have any photos of the dishes, because every time the dish arrived, all I could do was savor the moment. And that's the real strength: the food was a delight with every forkful, a thrill of authentic flavors.
The atmosphere is typical, timeless, and pleasant.
The service is simple, simple, and friendly.
I think Vecio Buffet Marascutti is a must-see for anyone in Trieste. Go there and prepare to leave your phone in your pocket.
PS: Reservations, if not required, are highly recommended.

20/02/2026: I'm very sorry, because this has always been a place that has given me so much. I used to come here to climb and afterward we'd all sit together. Today, four slices of ham, four pieces of cheese, and three small pieces of bread cost the same as in the center of Florence. I understand the increases, but despite it being San Daniele, the price seems a bit high. I honestly don't want to dwell on other details. It will always be a beautiful place, but honestly, based on my experience, which can be seen from the plate and the receipt, it seems a bit too high. It's comparable to sitting in a restaurant, all that's missing is the cover charge.
16/02/2026: When you come from panorama drive/walk immediately this small restaurant is waiting for you with great coffee, sandwiches and sweets ! It was really nice pit stop!

02/01/2026: The best pizza in the entire province...very light and never leaves you thirsty overnight...thin, crispy dough packed with quality ingredients. The seasonal pizza with lime and brandy-braised shrimp is the absolute best!!!! It's hard to pass up the desserts because they're homemade by the owner.
Compliments to all the waiters, always friendly and smiling.
21/12/2025: Friendly staff and really good pizza, just the way I like it. The only flaw, if we really wanted to do it, was that we were a bit crowded with the tables close together, but when the food is good and the company is good, the rest doesn't really matter.
