30/11/2025: We ate two truly excellent pizzas. The owner was extremely courteous and told us many details about the business and the history of the establishment. The wood-fired pizza is made with dough that rests for three days before being used – you can really taste the difference. The cappuccino was also superb.

25/11/2025: The cashier, Chiara, was very rude, the food was terrible, avoid this place!!!!! IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: Dear owner of Baschera, I would like to express my regret for the negative experience, made worse by the unprofessional attitude of the waitress, Chiara, and the owner's unwillingness (she turned her back on us, smoking a vape inside the restaurant) to directly confront the diners. The problem lies not only in the mistake—not having informed half of the group about the conditions of the "athlete's menu"—but in the owner's failure to immediately admit it, instead displaying arrogance and demanding full payment. The acknowledgement of the mistake came only after the negative review, which speaks volumes about the desire to address the issue transparently. Furthermore, according to the waitress, Chiara, the "discount" offered on the €440 total spent by the group would have been only €15. This treatment appears completely inadequate compared to your magical expectations and the type of service promised. It is therefore essential to review the menu communication methods and give customers the opportunity to make an informed choice, given that the famous athlete menu was NOWHERE mentioned. Otherwise, you risk engaging in a practice that could be perceived as unfair, if not misleading. A healthy dose of humility in acknowledging mistakes and respectfully handling customer interactions would certainly do you good. Professionalism is measured by these aspects, not just by positive reviews, which can easily be false. P.S.: I advise the owner to be present on the most important evenings of the week, so as to monitor the cashiers and the phantom owners who are off duty, and thus be able to give a TRUTHFUL response to my review. Unfortunately, several employees were smoking e-cigarettes inside the establishment; it seemed like a common occurrence. I hope this review helps you improve and be more honest with your customers!!

10/08/2025: We were here just yesterday, and we were lucky enough to have lunch as they were closing the kitchen (2:30 PM). We had an octopus salad with potatoes and a peppered mussels Triestina-style. It was excellent, I'd say. The quantity of octopus and potatoes for the price of 9 euros was too small in my opinion, but it was good. The mussels were 10 euros, nothing to complain about here. Well done.

30/11/2025: We were passing through Gorizia and after a few attempts to find a place for dinner, and then a few rejections because it was 9:45 PM, this place told us we could go in, but we needed to get there quickly! We ordered a tasty, slightly spicy goulash and the pork shank covered in a reduction that made it exceptional. Both generously sized dishes were complemented by potatoes that tasted like a cross between baked potatoes and mashed potatoes—I could have eaten two kilos of them! But the real highlight was Tom, the young waiter who exudes zest for life from every pore, a truly efficient and pleasant guy. I definitely recommend stopping there.

10/11/2025: I think I ate the best pizza ever, my wife, my daughter and I, all very happy. I finally found a really spicy pizza, the volcano pizza. The other 2 pizzas were also spectacular: broccoli, sausage and gorgonzola. Mmm... wonderful with half a liter of good table wine. Thank you very much for your kindness. They found us a place on a Saturday evening, it was completely full, but after a quarter of an hour we were seated.

12/11/2025: A couple of cold drinks in the afternoon. Free nibbles with them and the service was with a smile. Recommended.

29/11/2025: As written on the owner's shirt... "you eat like a god and pay a wafer" is all true. First time today with friends and children. We'll be back, I hope, soon. The place is very unique in its decor and very pleasant.

23/11/2025: The staff are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming, around the warm fireplace, where delicious meats are expertly cooked. The appetizers and first courses are also delicious, especially pumpkin, which is a mainstay on the menu in autumn. There's also a nice changing table available for those with babies.

16/11/2025: It's a shame we can't give zero stars. Not for the quality, but for the service. We waited an hour for three dishes: a first course, a raw ham and burrata dish, and a sliced ​​steak. The sliced ​​steak was also served cold. Luckily, we asked promptly, because our order had clearly been lost. The huge discount for this total disservice was a generous 10%. Embarrassing to say the least, and we definitely won't be returning.

16/11/2025: Terrible experience with the lady at the register. We called to make a reservation for two people and were told we couldn't reserve a table, just wait as soon as the tables became available. When we arrived, they asked us if we had a reservation. The answer was the same as the lady on the phone. Annoyed, she sent us away. Let's learn how to treat our customers.

11/11/2025: I've been missing Caffè Torinese for a long time, and I don't know why. It used to be my favorite bar, and I frequented it often, partly because I knew the old owners. Then, changing habits, I lost my way, until yesterday when I returned with my wife, and it was a happy reunion. The atmosphere hasn't changed much; it's still one of the most beautiful places in the city, maintaining its century-old history and elegant management. I must say, I felt like I'd never left that wonderful place, even though it was run by different people. Different, but extremely kind and competent. I'll definitely be back to enjoy the excellent aperitifs I adore, and to once again appreciate an atmosphere I've always loved, fortunately managed with kindness and professionalism.
