30/11/2025: The 2024 Boxing Day jota was excellent. The meat dinner was very good (about 30 euros per person, but it filled us up and quenched our thirst for two days). Good bikes. And a good Budweiser beer (the Czech one, of course).

27/08/2025: If you're looking for 5-star dining at reasonable prices in a seaside resort like Lignano, Bar Italia is the perfect place. Papa cooks here himself. It's truly traditional Italian. Nothing is reheated here. Everything is freshly cooked. The taste of the food is simply incredible. An explosion of flavors in your mouth. There's a wealth of truly amazing dishes. And the finest cocktails. We discovered the bar on our third day and ate here exclusively from then on.

15/01/2026: A Michelin-starred restaurant in the Porcia area. The dishes are superbly prepared, and the atmosphere is elegant, warm, and comfortable, enhanced by paintings and soft lighting.

14/03/2026: A quaint and unique location. I really enjoyed the rice arancini, pasta with sardines, and octopus. Quality dishes are prepared with passion by the owner himself, assisted by his skilled staff. The wait staff also works with passion and always has a smile. The wine selection is excellent, both Sicilian and international. Highly recommended.

06/01/2026: The fish-based menu is nothing short of exceptional, like eating in the middle of the sea... and to finish, fabulous desserts.

13/03/2026: I've stopped here several times, both for lunch with a fixed-price menu and for dinner with a restaurant or pizzeria. It's a lovely place where you can definitely eat well, and it's worth stopping by when you're in the area.

13/03/2026: Terrible experience, pizzas with hard, hard-to-chew dough. A raw ham/arugula/Parmesan pizza and a vegetable pizza cost €27.00, which seems completely excessive to me. Not only because of the unpleasant taste, but also because of the 1.5-hour wait. The street where you order is located a short distance from the pizzeria. I do not recommend it.

19/06/2025: Delicious pasta and focaccia. It's on the main street, but still recommended. Good white wine.

18/06/2025: Many restaurants in Trieste have a strange habit (from a non-Italian perspective) of working short hours in the morning, taking a long break during the day, and working evenings. In other words, at approximately 3 PM you don't have many options and you go to whichever restaurant is open. That is the main reason we chose this restaurant. The pizza we ate was okay, but nothing to write home about (the crust was almost tasteless, and the toppings weren't made from the best ingredients, especially the mozzarella cheese). The service was okay but nothing fancy, and the overall experience was: "it was okay, but..."

11/10/2025: As always, a wonderful dinner. Extremely friendly staff and excellent, plentiful dishes. Highly recommended for vegetarians looking for something tasty.

The vegetarian dishes are outstanding, prepared with fresh ingredients and rich, balanced flavors that truly represent Indian culinary tradition. 23/12/2025: I've read complaints about the price in several reviews. I think the cost is absolutely normal, especially for Italy and the type of food. Since they use raw materials (salmon for sushi, good, high-quality tuna), they're meticulously prepared, and the food must be fresh, discarding unsold items. It's perfectly normal to pay significant amounts. I had two portions of Philadelphia sushi and a pasta dish. I spent €35, and it's absolutely acceptable. In another restaurant for the same amount, I would have had pizza, water/soft drink, and dessert for around €25-30. So the price is within normal limits. Fresh, good food, as well as its preparation, costs money. That's the reality. As for problems with cooking and the food itself, I'll just say that it can happen. We all make mistakes. The important thing is to recognize that it's human to make mistakes and not get angry. It's happened to me a few times, to receive the wrong dishes or to wait hours... personally, I didn't get angry. Amen. It happens people.

02/10/2025: The best sushi I've ever eaten, the open preparation is what sets them apart because you see the product being prepared and assembled... the gem of the place is also the home delivery service, where punctuality is their daily bread!

07/03/2026: Truly exceptional seafood restaurant. I've never tasted such delicious raw fish: incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared. The waiters were excellent, always kind and with just the right amount of humor to put you at ease. They recommended dishes impeccably, and every suggestion was spot on. The restaurant is also beautiful, with a refined and elegant interior. A truly excellent experience, I'll definitely be back!

01/03/2026: After years, I've had to order from a place with no menu or wine list. I don't even joke with the waiter, telling him I'm having a hard time and would like to know the cost of my order, and he tells me to "don't worry." We paid €155, which would have been €110-120 in much cooler places in Trieste. The service was also too homely for a seafood place, and considering the price, it's not worth mentioning. Overall, it was significantly below expectations.

23/01/2026: Definitely 5 stars. The staff were kind, polite, friendly, and never intrusive. The food was truly good. No complaints. I'll be back.

20/01/2026: The most immediately noticeable feature of this quaint Trieste seafood restaurant is undoubtedly the unique atmosphere, evident in the interiors, which I presume have remained unchanged over the last 40-50 years, dominated by a stunning refrigerator. The dishes are opulent and the food is excellent, but when I was there, perhaps they overdid the scampi, so generous in size that they were reminiscent of frozen products. The creamed cod served with croutons and the fried calamari were excellent. The service is always attentive and attentive. The price is reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. Parking in the area is not easy.
