05/10/2025: Family-run restaurant where you can eat excellent fish at a reasonable price. Excellent fried food. Pasta with swordfish and eggplant is more than delicious. Trieste-style octopus. Superlative mussels. And let's not even talk about the owner, a very kind and friendly lady who has the ability to establish a very friendly relationship with her customers. 10 out of 10.

24/09/2025: I believe our server was the owner - he gave detailed descriptions of the menu in fluent French, Italian and English. He was very friendly. We ordered a local wine from Friuli-Venezia which was delicious and reasonably priced. I had the monk fish which was tougher than I’m used to for white fish but I suspect that is the local style. My husband got the pork cheeks which were amazing.

03/09/2025: We stopped thinking that in a trattoria there would be a menu at good prices and instead we found ourselves having to pay for an appetizer and a first course at 83.50...note that on the table there wasn't even a tablecloth...if I were to pass by again I certainly wouldn't stop a second time

27/08/2025: A wonderful restaurant in the heart of Lignano! The service is extremely friendly and attentive, and they delighted us with a great wine recommendation. The food is outstanding – the fresh mussels as a starter and the grilled fish platter as a main course were a real highlight. The atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting, even though the restaurant is located right in the pedestrian zone. You immediately feel at home and can enjoy your meal in peace. Reservations are definitely recommended, as the restaurant is very popular. Highly recommended for anyone who loves fresh fish and Italian hospitality!

07/10/2025: Let me start by saying that we try a different place in Friuli every week, but this time it was Alla Speranza, which I had included in this group of restaurants. The welcome was average, and the staff were kind enough to reserve a table. The location is beautiful, with three different dining rooms, two of which were even more beautiful than the other. The dishes, including those offered off-menu, were very well prepared, and the quality was noteworthy, except for the first course—tortelloni or similar fish-filled dishes with a mussel stew. They weren't thrilling, not because of the sauce, which was superb, but because of the colorful pasta, which tasted like nothing. Perhaps a lasagna or something else would be better. The wine from local producers was really good. On a negative note, the service seemed subpar at times; you couldn't pour other wine into the same glasses, especially in places where another type of wine had been tasted. The glasses had to be changed at all costs, and the placemats weren't exactly attractive; a standard tablecloth with stain protectors would have been a good choice in a place like this. This rating is based on our personal experience compared to other reviewed restaurants. All things considered, we'd be happy to return. The owner was very kind.

05/10/2025: A wonderful experience. We felt like regulars, even family, even though it was our first visit. The food... we were delighted with all the dishes, and we decided to try many of them. The cozze, the seafood gnocchi, the calamari, and the best anchovies I've ever had! I'd love to go back!

I'd also add that the staff was extremely knowledgeable, even when faced with difficulties. I'm referring to an unexpected hailstorm, and they calmly accommodated everyone in the small restaurant. Well done!

12/09/2025: I went for lunch today with my husband. Everything was excellent, the place was beautiful and well-decorated, and the food was excellent. We had two fricos as appetizers, two excellent first courses, and two desserts. The wine, water, and coffee were excellent. €90 was more than good. I can't wait to go back. Superb service.
