20/07/2025: A heartfelt thank you to Anna and Umberto for their hospitality ❤️ We had a wonderful time. This is the perfect place for children, and also for parents who want to enjoy a relaxing aperitif. The refuge's interior is beautiful and welcoming. We didn't use it, but upstairs there's a large, quiet common area with tables and a children's play area. However, we recommend enjoying a few drinks after dinner in the restaurant on the ground floor. It's a great place for conversation, a family-friendly, relaxing atmosphere, and in the fall/winter, with the fireplace lit, it must be a sight to behold. The cuisine is a real highlight; I'd say it's the best I've ever had in Friuli (the cjarsons, ribs, and house-made smoked meats are delicious). We stayed here for nine nights with a two-month-old baby and had a wonderful time, with all the necessary amenities. We hope to return when she's old enough to enjoy the beautiful outdoor playground. I'd also like to add that the surrounding area offers lovely walks in the countryside, without even having to move the car.

19/07/2025: A family-friendly refuge 😍, we had so much fun! My little girl played on the playground equipment outside, and even my big dog got to play with the shelter dog. The table service was truly excellent, and in addition to the standard menu, younger children can also request a simple pasta dish (e.g., tomato, ragù, etc.). The dishes we ordered were truly delicious: appetizers of cheese and cured meats were truly delicious, the Cjarsons were delicious, the eggplant caponata with toasted almonds was simple but had a truly delicious, bold flavor, and the grilled meat was also delicious. There are various hikes near the refuge, so for a day out, this is the perfect place ☺️

03/07/2025: Flavors, aromas, perfect atmosphere if you are looking for something different and ethnic that makes you travel and discover!! The feeling is that it is prepared with love and authenticity, the dishes are full-bodied and their taste will overwhelm you!!! Very kind staff!!! We spent 40 euros each because we tasted everything but it is very clear from the menu how much you will spend so you can base it on your appetite!! I highly recommend it!!!

08/08/2025: They seated us almost at the back of the restaurant, in a decidedly unpleasant location. The fried fish was cold and of poor quality, while the slice of meat we ordered rare was as cold as if it had just come out of the fridge and of poor quality. After we sent the meat back, the staff was honest and discounted our bill, which we greatly appreciated. On a positive note: the pizza is good and worth it, but the rest of the experience was disappointing and doesn't encourage us to return.

17/06/2025: A place suitable for an aperitif but also as a quick restaurant for lunch. It is located in a very central pedestrian street of Trieste, very popular at lunchtime with many working customers and also tourists. The prices are competitive in terms of quality and price. The dishes are well made and plentiful. There is a lot of coming and going even at aperitif time. The friendliness and kindness of the staff give it added value.

16/08/2025: We stopped by almost by chance, and I have to say I found everything delicious, including the owners...so if we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely stop by again. I found the meat very tender. Ask for wine recommendations if you're not an expert.

16/08/2025: Perfect hospitality – we were lucky enough to be able to reserve a table. In the glorious summer ambiance, we enjoyed the wonderful view from the terrace overlooking the hills of Corno di Rosazzo. The beautifully set table (with cloth napkins!) aroused anticipation for the following culinary experience. Our recommendation for the cold starter (antipasto) was a salad with sautéed chanterelle mushrooms, and the warm starter (primo) was a pasta made from Sarceno (buckwheat) with flavorful beef. You can only find it in Italy: seemingly simple, yet unique. For the main course (secondo) in this renowned meat temple, we chose "Bife de chorizo," an Argentinian sirloin steak, grilled whole to medium-rare, served with oven-baked potato wedges. Wonderful, just the perfect amount for two, wonderfully tender and flavorful! The service and the host, Francisco, were prompt and friendly! Everything was perfect, the homemade sorbetti (plum and pear) emphasized the special status of the house. Sparkling wine and wine from the owner's Perusini winery. The price was right. Oil from Parovel in Trieste! I couldn't think of anything better. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience with you. Best regards, Christian da Villaco

19/07/2025: The food is superb. We had the tagliatelle with ragù, which they added with a woodsy aroma from the pine tops, making it phenomenal. The crepinette is also excellent! The prices are a little high.

09/08/2025: A great hotel, ideal for Poles due to its cleanliness and varied breakfast. There's a choice of sweet and savory options (scrambled eggs, salads, pastries, coffee, juices, cakes, toast, ham, and cheese). A great location, but only for those who don't mind a 15-minute walk to the center.

28/05/2025: We went there for lunch. There's no restaurant, only the evening meal, and only the osteria is open. The food is excellent and served in a small, very tastefully decorated room. The staff is very attentive and explains the dishes well, sometimes even in German. From the outside, you wouldn't believe the delicacies inside. We'd be happy to come back anytime.

29/07/2025: It's not the first time I've had lunch at the Alimentare, the food was excellent and the welcome was superb!!! This time I had delicious tacos and linguine with sea urchins and bottarga, accompanied by a glass of white wine. Everything was truly excellent! Highly recommended!

25/07/2025: We probably came on the wrong night, or it's just that on a Saturday night, chaos can reign supreme, given the large number of people present. It was packed, so there was a very long wait. Occasionally, the service staff made a few mistakes, but that can happen; they work hard, after all. The menu offers a very long list of pizzas, a full 7 pages of varied pizza menus, of every type, fantasy, and flavor, which can be difficult to navigate. The prices are fair and honest, reflecting the good quality/price ratio. The place was really crowded, but I don't know to what extent that justified a 40-minute wait. But the wait was worth it with the delicious pizza that arrived at the table, thank goodness because the pizza I was served was really good. What struck me about the unique location was a cross fixed to a column.

05/08/2025: A great restaurant to enjoy the famous San Daniele. It's delicious as an aperitif or with pasta. Enjoy it on the terrace and with attentive service!

Grilled vegetables with burrattina: excellent Ravioli del bersagliere: good Veal in tuna sauce: very good Everything was presented simply but carefully. Fairly priced Compliments to the young waiters: attentive and friendly...a little less so the gentleman we identified as the owner Welcoming atmosphere
