18/05/2025: Absolutely below average ice cream, it seems like eating a cream with sugar, whatever flavor you take. The prices are also decidedly high for the meager quantity they give. They only survive because it is full of families who bring their children to eat it. Review the prices, or at least the quality and quantity CIAO!!!! 🥱💔👋

19/06/2025: Good pizza, light, also available in MAXI versions. Prices are normal. Polite and kind staff also because after so many years a relationship between owner and customers is definitely established. If you take pizza to take away, it is better to call well in advance to avoid unnecessary queues. Show up at least 10 minutes before the agreed time otherwise it is very likely that you will find the pizzas already ready.

06/04/2025: The bar opens at 2pm and it's 1.30pm and it's closed. I arrived on my bike half an hour hungry and discover that it's closed and also with a very strong wind that made it difficult for me to move forward.

18/05/2025: We were at this bar last night, arriving around 8:30 pm and there were 5 other tables besides us. After sitting down we were ignored for 10 minutes while the two waiters went back and forth without deigning to look at us. At a certain point we decided to take the initiative and ask for at least a price list (which wasn't on the table) and we were told that it would arrive immediately. While we waited the waiter we had spoken to shortly before was laughing and joking with his colleague. After another 10 minutes or more we decided to get up and leave. I understand that if there are a lot of people the waiting times can be long, but in this case waiting 20 minutes for a price list is unacceptable in my opinion. Definitely unprofessional. I advise the owner to hire people who want to work and I advise future customers to change bars.

15/05/2025: The restaurant is on the beautiful little square. The tables and chairs are very dirty, you will wait for the service very long. We were only ones in the garden and waited for 10 minutes. They are nice but not se responsive. We ordered drinks and food, drinks were ok, the food was tasty mostly but the pasta was cold, the pizza was under average and old, and the lasagna was really ok. We waited for the food for about 45 minutes. Inside of the restaurant is loud and dirty looks like night club, and the toilet barely worked. There are lot of restaurants near by, choose another one.

02/02/2025: Winter season, few bars open and we opt for this one. Packed bar, a poor waitress running up and down and 2 counter attendants... No price list at the table, long waiting times, at the bottom of the bowl of chips there was an orange peel probably from a previous customer and dirty bathrooms. Heavy bill = €9.5 for an Aperol spritz and a gingerino

02/06/2025: Ci siamo fermati per fare uno spuntino/aperitivo. Molto efficiente la cameriera, molto buono il toast e le due pizzette. Nel complesso siamo stati bene.

31/05/2025: We called at the beginning of the week to book a table for two, they told us that for two there was no problem, no need to book for any time. We arrived at 8:30 pm and found a line of 30 people waiting to get in (spoiler: they were all those who had booked and were as angry as we were) After half an hour of waiting they advised us to go and sit at an outside table with five other people and that MAYBE we would have been able to fit there. At 9 pm we found ourselves not knowing where to have dinner. To say ridiculous is an understatement. Never again!

28/05/2025: Stop in Lignano with friends over the weekend. Having enjoyed the experience at Fiumicello's sister restaurant, we decided to stop at this place in Lignano as well. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. The structure has remained frozen in time: the furnishings and atmosphere take us straight back to the 80s, with an obvious need for renovation. The menu promised more than was actually available: several dishes could not be ordered, and the salad served was cold from the fridge, with many blackened leaves, a clear sign of poor freshness. The same goes for the club sandwiches and chips, frozen and nice and fresh! Sorry to say, but there are places that really need a restyling, not only in appearance, but also in the quality and care of the food.

03/07/2025: I stayed at the Ai Gelsi hotel for one night. The structure is not too pretentious, but the rooms are clean and overall tidy. The shower and hairdryer were quite dated and not very functional. The staff at the reception were very kind, polite and professional, a good point in their favour. The hotel restaurant offers good food, but unfortunately the service was disappointing: the waiters were slow and distracted, I had to wait a long time both to sit down and to order.

30/06/2025: from the photos I expected much better. honest price and friendly staff, but very dated structure. good cleaning. breakfast rather squalid, not worth the extra.

05/01/2025: Goulash with gnocchi very good and chicken cut also, the peas on the side were cold though... shame about the smell of fried food that sticks to your clothes and the service a bit disappointing... they forgot a second course, the prices are good. I don't think I'll go back.

02/01/2025: Posto sporco, la sala da pranzo fredda, clientela scarsa e di bassa qualità. Poco cordiali e cibo imbarazzante. Dalla cassa si intravedeva la cucina: Canavacciuolo potrebbe registrare una delle puntate di Cucine da Incubo. Imbarazzante

20/06/2025: Place was very joyful, the staff was really nice and the food was great. We had steak, a burger and pasta and ordered some patate in tecia on the side. All meals were fantastic. We swapped the patate in tecia that comes with the steak with some fries and those were really good too. Would definitely recommend and if we’re ever back in Trieste we would always have a place to fall back to and know the food and vibes are great

24/05/2025: Il pošto molto carino, e commodo di arrivare e cibo parecchio buono e birra buona ma Il staff? Sheesh. No so perche in gestore di un posto Cosi deve prendere come waitresses donne che sembrano arrabiate a priori con cliente! Noi eravamo l'unici clienti a pranzo e la cammiera ci ha fatto sentire Che disturbavamo solo Di essere la. Peccato. Sarebbe IL caso Di Sorride e fa sentire benvenuti come minimo !!!
