28/07/2025: Quaint and rustic. We were looked after by the personable and very obliging and helpful Ivan. Our visit also included a wine-tasting of biodynamic wines. Perfect for a Steiner educated family 🥰 Morizo was our wine guide who schooled us on Brunello and Rosso. We are absolute philistines and knew nothing about this type of wine. So this added to our southern hemisphere repertoire of Pinot Noir and Barossa valley reds.

15/06/2025: Tuvimos una cena maravillosa aquí en nuestra última noche en Florencia. No estoy seguro de por qué el restaurante era tranquilo, ya que era una de las mejores comidas de nuestro viaje! Teníamos el filete de Fiorentina que estaba perfectamente cocinado, y todos los demás platos que pedimos estaban deliciosos. Un ambiente mucho más relajado que el puesto avanzado de Dubai (el servicio seguía siendo excelente) y el restaurante tiene un hermoso interior con una vista sobre el río. Muy recomendable y sin duda volveremos cuando estemos en Florencia!

27/04/2025: Nourriture délicieuse tant sur le plan des solides que des liquides, cadre très agréable, musique de fond un peu forte ; au total , vaut le coup d autant plus que la carte des vins est on’e peut plus belle!!!

08/12/2025: I returned to this restaurant because I've always eaten quality food there... unfortunately, today I'm here having to change my mind. It was a nasty surprise... low-quality food... mushrooms full of water, pici with bad ragu, and above all, au gratin fish passed off as grilled and above all, not good... I'm sorry to write this because we all work... but I expect quality... also because you can't eat bad food because you risk making people sick... BEWARE

07/12/2025: I'll start by saying we've always been to Oreste Campagna over the years, but now, with the new management, it seems absurd to me, with all due respect, to pay: €2.50 for a coffee, which was also poorly made, considering I've worked in the restaurant business for years and can say this with certainty without malice. It was really watered down (there was no purge, for example). This price isn't even in the center of Florence. Embarrassing. €10 for two canned Cokes. And I'm only talking about the prices of the drinks because I find them more outrageous than the food. It's not surprising, however, why on a Sunday lunch there were just me, my boyfriend, and a large table. I strongly recommend checking the prices again because it's unthinkable to have an experience like that in a quiet area like Legri. As for the rest, there's nothing to complain about regarding the service and food, so I'm sorry it fell apart at the last minute. I hope my review is taken as constructive criticism because that place deserves a lot.

17/07/2025: Ottimo ristorante immerso nelle campagne vicino Firenze. Atmosfera rilassante e piatti curati. La frittura è davvero eccellente. Servizio cordiale e prezzi giusti. Da provare!

02/12/2025: While visiting Siena, despite the many options available, we chose Il Vicolo. And I can say it was a great choice. Excellent and fast service. The staff was kind, helpful, and very friendly. We ordered a charcuterie board and a prosciutto with buffalo mozzarella, but the first courses were exceptional, both flavorful and quite generous. The price is in line with what you get. I recommend it.

07/11/2025: We had dinner with a small group of six friends. We ordered first courses and steak with side dishes. The first courses with ragù were very good, although the portions were perhaps a little on the small side. Unfortunately, the meat was sinewy and not particularly flavorful, and served on a hot stone cutting board. This makes a big impression on a foreign tourist who's never seen a steak, but it's obviously a terrible idea for the meat, which continues to cook and turns into a sole in no time... The downside? The vegetable side dish, with three puny slices of zucchini and eggplant, was decidedly overpriced. The service was quite slow.

06/12/2025: We ate here on a Saturday for lunch because it was one of the few places without huge lines at the entrance, and we were so surprised! Maybe it's not very well-known yet, which is why it wasn't crowded, but I highly recommend it. We had a centerpiece appetizer and various first courses (ravioli with butter and sage, tagliatelle with ragù, gnocchi with provola and speck, and spaghetti with truffle and sausage sauce), all very, very good! The service was also super attentive and courteous. We paid an average of €25 per person, so I'd say it's super fair. I recommend it!! 👌🏻

28/11/2025: We ate at this lovely place just steps from the center. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. The experience of assembling the platter, cutting the meat and seasoning it with oil, salt, and pepper right at the table, in front of the guests, was truly enjoyable. Highly recommended.

12/10/2025: Il Pinone. A historic restaurant on Montalbano. The furnishings are a bit dated, but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, offering a wonderful view. Traditional Tuscan cuisine with a meat and fish menu. Friendly and efficient service. This time we opted for the meat menu and took advantage of the availability of local porcini mushrooms. Everything was delicious. The ingredients are treated with care. The wait times, considering the restaurant was full, were absolutely appropriate for freshly prepared dishes. Special mention goes to the desserts prepared by Ilenia. We were full, but we couldn't say no, and we were right. A delicious warm cheesecake, an exquisite chocolate mousse, and Ilenia even let us try her salted caramel brittle... Super! Absolutely excellent value. Then we sat on the terrace to eat like lizards. Ample parking under the pine trees. Great in the summer for a bit of cool air. I could have posted photos of the dishes, but you know, I won't. Why? Because you have to come. Enjoy your meal.

21/09/2025: A great lunch to celebrate my grandparents' birthday. The food was very well prepared. Excellent fried mushrooms, tortelli mugellani, and tagliatelle. Attentive and friendly service. Great for a Sunday lunch!

17/11/2025: I'm not used to writing negative reviews; I'm in the restaurant business, and I know what that means... but this isn't a place to go for a Sunday, especially an Italian one. We stopped for lunch and wanted to try their homemade pasta dishes, as advertised on the menu outside. We ordered three different first courses, and all were overcooked pasta, but especially the Carbonara with cooked ham. In 2025, they're still making fun of the customer. I'm sorry, there's so much room for improvement. As for the service, it was friendly, but nothing special.

15/06/2025: Abbiamo chiamato ahimè, alle 13 per chiedere se fosse possibile un tavolo per le 13.30,il cameriere, giustamente ci ha detto che la cucina chiude alle 14,quindi abbiamo fatto il prima possibile ad arrivare in questa splendida location! All'arrivo ci hanno detto subito che il menù era quello scritto su un tabellone e di fare in fretta nelle scelte, rimembrando che la cucina stava per chiudere! Scegliamo in piedi ma, se volevano far veloce potevano anche darci la carta dei vini... Prendiamo: 1 tagliere Salumi e formaggi 1 gnocco 1raviolo(l'unica cosa positiva forse, dico forse perché alla pasta mancava qualche minuto ancora 1 tagliata al sangue ma servita media Partiamo dal tagliere, per 20 euro poco più o poco meno ti aspetti qualità o quantità ma a dire la verità qualità non mi sembrava tanto eccezionale e quantità non ne parliamo proprio che erano 2 fette di crudo, 2 di salame, 2 di coppa 3 tipi di Pecorini 1 triangolino a pecorino, che quasi non riuscivo a dividerlo con la mia ragazza Lo gnocco si attaccava al palato, cosa irritante ed il raviolo era quasi crudo, tutto ciò perché i cuochi dovevano andare a casa Li capisco, faccio lo stesso mestiere, ma ricordo loro che le persone pagano per andare a mangiare!! Fine delle 3 portate, ricordo noi arrivati alle 13.30 finite le 3 portate alle 14.11,nemmeno andassimo a prendere un aereo, il cameriere si butta subito dicendo :"Caffè?", anche se noi avevamo voglia di dolce abbiamo preferito non dare fastidio alla cucina! Quindi abbiamo detto di sì al caffè e senza nemmeno ascoltare il cameriere ho fatto scegliere a lui l'amaro,perché vedevo fretta La cosa che mi ha fatto più ridere, essendo cuoco, all'arrivo del caffè arriva un'allegra famigliola di 4 persone, li avete fatti accomodare e avete anche detto di sì alla pasta Gluten free del cliente! Quindi vorrei chiedervi, coerenza per i prossimi clienti e professionalità visto che comunque abbiamo pagato un bel conto anche se non ci è piaciuto tanto ciò che avete fatto!! Buon lavoro!

04/09/2025: I'd known the place for years but had never stopped in. Even though it wasn't on our agenda, we stopped in for a quick bite. We quickly learned it was under new management, managed by Albanians only a few months ago. The products looked inviting at first glance, and the schiacciata dough and pizza slices were good. We ordered two schiacciatas and three pizza slices, a small bottle of water, and a coffee for about €30. Definitely too much. The prices were high, and would have been justified if there had been table service, but instead they hand you a canteen-style tray and you go find a place to sit. I don't think I'll go back.
