05/12/2025: Enchanting, typically Tuscan atmosphere. Excellent cuisine with reinterpretations of traditional dishes and surprises and surprises, which I won't reveal now. Go there and bring friends, and it's an opportunity for an important invitation where you will surely make a great impression. I can't say more than that... as always, I say MUST VISIT.

11/11/2025: A shore excursion took us here for lunch. It borders the main cathedral as others have said which is nice and to me the atmosphere is what I'd expect for an Italian restaurant. The inside also was well maintained and clean along with the restrooms. The service was fine, it was a large group of about 40, and they did a good job of quickly serving everyone. While we didn't get to choose from the menu, the meal included: half bolognese and half pesto pasta, bread, red and white wine, and olive oil on request. Portions were generous. Also dessert wine and biscotti for dipping. Everything was enjoyable, I liked the pesto best; though can't say it's the best Italian ever overall it was a nice experience.

13/12/2025: The food was good, but it was unacceptable that the guy didn't let me pay with my debit card.

15/11/2025: So much potential, but the rude staff gave it a low score. Super delicious ice cream! And a lovely place to sit! We just sat near the gelato bar, in the first garden area. After our ice cream, we wanted a cappuccino and a coke. Suddenly, a very grumpy bartender showed up, and he snapped at me when I misunderstood his nonsense. Apparently, I should have gotten my cappuccino at the garden bar and not inside. I've never experienced anything like that before. Addition: Please note! The reviews below make me understand why the man was so keen for us to sit in the other garden area. Apparently, they charge higher prices there!

23/11/2025: At this osteria just steps from the cathedral, I ate a delicious plate of pici cacio e pepe with crispy pancetta. The pici were cooked to perfection al dente, and the pecorino cheese was delicious. The prices were fair.

18/11/2025: We had a really good, authentic Tuscan meal here. The waitress was lovely, and everyone was attentive and friendly.

05/11/2025: We didn't like it; the pizzas tasted like those you buy at the supermarket. The waitress's service wasn't friendly at all. I definitely don't recommend this place.

25/07/2025: Posto incantevole soprattutto in estate, si può mangiare del buono pesce e non solo, al fresco della veranda esterna. Menù costruito molto bene con piatti di carne e di pesce. Piatti molto abbondanti e una qualità prezzo, sul menù di pesce, davvero molto azzeccato. L' unica pecca, a mio avviso, che mancano un po' di "spinta" nei condimenti. Gestione giovane, bravissimi davvero tutti! A presto

14/07/2025: Abbiamo prenotato per cena con amici e siamo stati veramente benissimo. Locale immenso nei tipici paesaggi toscani. Personale gentile e disponibile. Piatti ottimi e prezzi democratici.

16/08/2025: A completely strange experience. Almost slapstick. Disastrous decor, virtually zero service, couldn't be more rude. Plastic plates, no wine glasses. The food from the buffet was authentic and not bad at all, but certainly not a revelation.

15/07/2025: Vi fik anbefalet Pienza som udflugtmål. Vi kørte dertil og vi blev ikke skuffet. Super smuk og hyggelig sted og sikke en udsigt. Vi fandt denne lille restaurant og vi blev enig om at her skulle frokosten indtages, der var skygge. Vi valgte to forskellige traditionelle retter, begge vældig gode og velsmagende. Vi valgte en flaske hvidvin til, der var et godt udvalg af vine. Tjeneren denne eftermiddag var meget kompetent og tilstede.

12/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato qui due sere e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Dagli antipasti ai pici. Tutto squisito. Staff molto gentile e disponibile.

23/10/2025: A magical and romantic place, with an appetizer worth a meal and impeccably grilled meat, and precise, friendly, and professional service. A must-visit.

15/10/2025: Many fantastic non-meat dishes, too! The staff was very helpful and accommodating to our allergy to meat. The acquacotta - traditional Tuscan vegetable soup - is a must-have. The fagottini melanzane (roughly an eggplant rollatini) was crispy, cheesy, and wonderful. Dolci are local specialties. Terrific, friendly family restaurant with nice selection of local wines!

04/08/2025: Ondanks de drukte en een vol restaurant, hadden wij heel snel ons drinken eten, ... Heel lekker eten, vriendelijke bediening, ... Een aanrader en ook nog in een heel mooi, charmant dorpje.

28/07/2025: Esperienza davvero piacevole! Ho mangiato benissimo in questo ristorante: piatti curati, ingredienti freschi e sapori autentici. Il personale è stato cordiale e attento, l’ambiente accogliente e pulito. Tornerò sicuramente e lo consiglio a chi cerca qualità e ospitalità. Il ragazzo napoletano e stato davvero cordiale e attento! Complimenti!

13/09/2025: Excellent food, unique flavors, moderate prices. Welcoming staff, excellent service. Quick service, relaxed atmosphere. The house wine was very good, and the first course with wild boar ragù was delicious. The wild boar was homemade. And all this with a beautiful view of the square. Highly recommended.

10/08/2025: Location eccezionale con un magnifico panorama, e la fiorentina piú buona mangiata in Toscana! Ci siamo stati in due diverse occasioni, lo staff sempre gentilissimo e disponibile, ci siamo affidati a loro anche per la scelta dei vini e sono sempre stati superlativi. Consigliatissimo, speriamo di poter tornare presto!

05/08/2025: Il ristorante si presenta bene immerso com'è nelle colline del Chianti. Quel che gli fa, semmai, difetto e' quel quid che trasforma un mediocre in un buon ristorante. Dunque, pranzo con amici tra piatti di carne e di pesce. Si comincia all'insegna del menù virtuale da visionare mediante utilizzo di un QR da inquadrare con lo smartphone (sic!!). Si prosegue con piatti di carne e pesce, di cui alcuni passabili (maialino in crosta e tagliata di tonno), ed altri del tutto insufficienti (tra cui spicca una frittura mista al limite del rifiuto per la sua eccessiva durezza). Dolci di qualità ordinaria e conto tutto sommato nella norma voto numerico, non espresso in palline: 6- -.

16/11/2025: A large group of (very hungry!) cyclists couldn't have been more delighted! From the moment we booked, we were offered a decidedly... unusual menu: "meat & fish." No one would have imagined that the evening would be spent happily (simultaneously) enjoying the two "full portion" menus! What a dinner, guys! Tasty dishes, always served with extraordinary attention, plentiful and authentic. A special mention for the fish (the fried food was excellent!) and the meat-based first courses. And then, the house wine, dessert, coffee, and liqueur were all very good. The place is particularly suitable for large groups, not only for the space but especially for the service, which was truly efficient and courteous. The final bill definitely makes us want to come back! Congratulations! Until the next ride, guys!

01/11/2025: We booked our table at 9:00 PM, and they seated us at 9:30 PM. The glasses were brought at 9:50 PM, but there was still no sign of the cutlery. When the cutlery arrived, we noticed how unclean it was and politely asked if we could change it. A bit annoyed, they brought it back even dirtier; they never brought it back clean. The food (Margherita pizzas) arrived, the first at 10:00 PM, the last at 10:15 PM. They weren't even that great; the tomato was raw, the mozzarella tasteless. I don't recommend it if you're in a hurry.
