Ristorante Da Mimmo In Firenze

Me and my partner had dinner here. Google said it opened 7:30, we came 7:50 and it was just unlocked but the chef hasn’t arrived yet. No problem. We sat down and browsed the menu. We had appetizer, first course, second course and dessert. We shared a bruschetta, then she had soup and I had spaghetti as first course. Second course we both got meat. We finished of with Tiramisu. The atmosphere is lovely with great potential, at the time there was rap music going on which didn’t not blend in well with the atmosphere. The service was great, good English, friendly and service minded. The food was not as we expected. Based of the reviews it was supposed to be amazingly good. The appetizer and first course were very salty, too much salt and I’m not even that sensitive. The meat were good all though my partner asked for medium and got rare. Otherwise it seems to be a nice place. Would go again for a second opinion.

Restaurant next to our accommodation which doesn't look like much but which was a great discovery. We went back several evenings in a row because everything was there to have a good time. The cuisine is tasty with more than sufficient portions. The staff and owners are adorable. They even held our suitcases on the day of our departure so that we could walk around while waiting for our flight. Grazie mille e ciao!

Excellent food and courteous and punctual service...the location is very scenic thanks above all to the barrel-vaulted and frescoed ceiling! Excellent prices..I recommend it

Everything is very delicious, they have a waiter who speaks Spanish very friendly and explains what the dishes contain.

11 of us entered this restaurant by chance in the center of Florence. A stone's throw from Palazzo Pitti. The first impression made us think the worst. Instead, to our great surprise, the waiter arrived immediately to ask if we wanted some water in the meantime, giving us time to browse the menu. However, appetizer with excellent tomato soup and excellent local cured meats and cheeses. The accompanying red wine is excellent. Excellent quality meat and good side dishes and desserts. Southern chef whose haste in reading the menu did not allow us to evaluate it correctly. Price, lower than expected. I'll definitely be back

Beautiful historic structure. Family size tables. Comfortable. Unlike other restaurants that have very small tables that barely fit the dishes. Excellent food. Punctual and attentive service. I recommend it.

Veniamo in questo ristorante da anni e ogni volta ci lascia sorpresi. L'accoglienza calorosa, la spontaneità genuina (rari a Firenze) e la voglia di farti star bene è distintiva delo chef Mimmo, proprietario, e dello staff coordinato da Betty, che davvero è una famiglia che ti riceve! La qualità delle materie prime è sorprendente e la combinazione dei sapori del Sud (lo chef di origine calabrese) con la tradizione Toscana fanno di questo ristorante una vera eccellenza di Firenze. Da non trascurare poi la sala affrescata e luminosa che ricorda il teatro de '600 che un tempo era. Da non perdere se venite a Firenze, anche a pranzo.

Menù completo molto buono, menzione speciale per gli affettati (alta qualità’) e per la bistecca (cottura perfetta), entrambi molto saporiti.
