22/03/2026: Lovely team, very friendly and attentive. The food unfortunately was not the best. Even the tiramisu was a disappointment. Not made in the traditional way. The La Reine biscuits were too crunchy. I wouldn't mind if the prices were low but you pay a lot for the lack of quality. Also felt unwell after dining there.

23/01/2026: We ate here last night. The atmosphere was very subdued, with soft lighting and pleasant background music. We had the artichoke flan, the pici cacio e pepe, the cheek with mashed potatoes, and two different desserts...all delicious! I didn't use a knife to eat the cheek... The prices were more than reasonable. All "topped off" by a very kind owner who had already brought water for our dog in no time... Highly recommended!!!!

04/05/2026: We stopped at this bar/restaurant for a quick bite since we were in the area, and thankfully we only stopped for an aperitivo. It's a nice place in the center of Populonia, with both indoor (few seats) and outdoor seating. Having only had an aperitivo, I can't say much, but the service wasn't the best; the staff were bickering, pushy, and unpleasant. The bill, of course, was a no-brainer: €2.50 for a coffee is unthinkable in my opinion. A small platter, bread, two glasses of prosecco, and a coffee came to €42.

07/03/2026: Too bad. Until recently, they told me it was a good restaurant, now... For God's sake. I have Spanish friends and I know how they eat in Spain, so I speak with knowledge of the facts. Let's start with the menu: it's okay that the concept may have been adapted, but in a Spanish restaurant I don't expect to find carbonara or pasta alla sorrentina among the first courses, so I think: "Is this a way to meet demand?" Then I continue browsing and find serious inconsistencies. Okay, I'll have something typical: polpo a la Gallega (Galician-style octopus, served with potatoes and pimenton - paprika -)... so four octopus tentacles on five slices of boiled potato with low-quality paprika thrown in by the bucketload. Not a drizzle of oil, not a pinch of salt. A bland dish, without identity, without flavor. To be honest, not even in a canteen does one eat so blandly (and not for free, mind you, €10 a portion). Okay, let's see the broken egg (an egg cooked a certain way, with prosciutto and sliced ​​potatoes, as per the original recipe). A simple fried egg is brought with pre-fried potato sticks and three slices of prosciutto on top (also not cheap: €10). Okay, let's get down to the wine; a bottle of Ribolla, a white wine, was warm. Extra virgin olive oil from Carrefour. In short, for the price, I expected more, a more thoughtful and refined dish, but instead, it was a disappointment on all fronts. The ambiance would even be nice if it weren't for the pieces of sheet metal here and there, the dusty fake vegetation, and the decor that's meant to look radical chic but is actually a jumble of metal chairs and tables mixed with shoddy IKEA furniture. Hasta luego... Never again.

22/02/2026: It was a lovely discovery in Empoli, near the station. The place is meticulously maintained and features sophisticated, trendy decor. Excellent for an aperitif with tapas.

16/08/2025: A truly bizarre experience. Almost slapstick. Disastrous decor, virtually no service, and the staff couldn't have been more rude. Plastic plates, no wine glasses. The buffet food was authentic and not bad at all, but certainly nothing special.

02/05/2026: A truly delicious lunch in this welcoming restaurant with a delightfully homey feel. I especially recommend the pici with ragù—I've never had anything so good. The fried chicken was also delicious, with generous portions, and the young waiter was kind and attentive. We'll definitely be back.

11/05/2026: my friend ordered the ricotta pear ravioli, and when she let me try a bite, i almost cried. while the pasta part itself could be more tender, the filling and the sauce were perfect. the pears balance with the ricotta but are not too sweet. genuinely one of the best dishes i’ve had in eatly. however, my dish, the eggplant parmigiana was okay and really was nothing special. after i was done with my food i was considering ordering another ricotta pear ravioli just so i could taste it again. nice service and place.

09/05/2026: The service was friendly, but forgetful. My wine only arrived after asking three times. The ground outside was uneven, so the beer tipped over when the server came. Instead of helping and minimizing the damage, the server simply went back inside.

15/07/2025: Vi fik anbefalet Pienza som udflugtmål. Vi kørte dertil og vi blev ikke skuffet. Super smuk og hyggelig sted og sikke en udsigt. Vi fandt denne lille restaurant og vi blev enig om at her skulle frokosten indtages, der var skygge. Vi valgte to forskellige traditionelle retter, begge vældig gode og velsmagende. Vi valgte en flaske hvidvin til, der var et godt udvalg af vine. Tjeneren denne eftermiddag var meget kompetent og tilstede.

12/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato qui due sere e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Dagli antipasti ai pici. Tutto squisito. Staff molto gentile e disponibile.

25/05/2026: Had lunch on 05/24/2026 on a trip to a characteristic restaurant located in the historic center, adjacent to the Duomo. Not very large, with an adjoining outdoor terrace, also small. Two internal rooms, with one slightly raised, with vaults made of exposed brick, typical of period architecture. Tourist menu: pici with cheese and pepper, dessert (two variations, Sacher and cheese cake), water, coffee, €20. All 23 of the group were satisfied.

24/05/2026: We ordered a barbecue for two....it was pitiful, with ingredients unworthy of the worst discount store ever. And if we want to talk about the wine.....an undrinkable red concoction that charges you 22 euros a liter for a drink (if you can call it that) served from the worst carton ever!!! Not even Tavernello is this bad!!! CHANGE YOUR JOB!!!

25/04/2026: I honestly don't know where to start. Frozen, low-quality pizzas, raw tomatoes, and even mozzarella. Extremely long wait times, but the service is the most worrying thing: everyone does everything, but no one does anything. It's disappointing because I understand it's family-run, but without organization, you can't get anywhere, and here, the basics of customer service and organization are completely lacking.

21/05/2026: We found this little place while strolling through the streets near Arezzo's historic center. Drawn by the selection of dishes on display, we went in and discovered excellent delicacies expertly prepared with quality ingredients. The appetizers were superb, but I wouldn't want to forget everything else: first and second courses expertly prepared and absolutely authentic, and personally served by the friendly owner. Recommended if you're passing through. There aren't many seats, about forty by the look of it. But it's worth it if you're a tourist, a casual traveler... and a foodie.

15/05/2026: Typical Arezzo rustic tavern. Homemade pasta with delicious sauces and the carbonara...what can I say? They make a roast rabbit that's a real treat. The livers are fabulous. I was very pleased. I'll be back.
